Lynn Austin is one of my favorite authors and this book doesn’t disappoint. The two main characters are polar opposites who becomes acquainted in an unlikely scenario. As I read the book I became more and more interested in how they would work out the differences between them. I highly recommend this to you.
Lynn Austin brings her characters to life. A Christian message of the struggles to witness to another perceptively presented. I loved it even though I cried. All Christians should read.
Lynn Austin is one of my favorite authors. Her characters always leap off the pages and I feel that I know them personally. In Fly Away, the two main characters appear to have completely opposite personalities, but yet they are drawn to help each other through difficult life situations each of them are facing. The story is an excellent example of how we are blessed when we focus not on ourselves, but on others. Outstanding!!!!
Well Written and thought provoking
I really loved this book! Lynn Austin is a favorite author of mine, but I had not heard of this one until recently. The characters are unveiled and written in a manner that you can identify with their emotions during stressful times in their lives. Biblically sound, it really makes you think through end of life issues from an interesting perspective. I think you’ll be entertained as well as challenged by this wonderful read!
I really enjoyed this book, unusual and thought provoking; a good read.
This book is now one of my favorites. It touched my heart in so many ways. Once started I could hardly put it down. The characters had become people that I loved and would miss, they were so real.
What a wonderful story this is with very non-traditional main characters. Depth of personalities, loving actions, biblical application drew me in to the story and kept me there. Not your everyday Christian novel. I loved it!
Those in their upper years might enjoy seeing how the curves that life can throw at you can be managed. I was sad and uplifted at the same time. I love all of Lynn Austin’s books. They are all different and yet alike on that they share how faith is important and gives us hope.
Great spiritual introspection; effective presentation of Biblical truth
I enjoyed this book so much that when I finished it, I immediately downloaded another one. If you love Francine Rivers you will love this author. I’m so glad I found this book. Her characters develop beautifully and the storyline is so believable and engaging. You will get pulled right into this beautiful story. I’m now reading Candle in the Darkness and I can’t put it down. I’m going to read everything this author writes!
Lyn Austin’s first book contains inspirational characters. Life altering circumstances force them to face the reality of their spiritual bankruptcy. Ms. Austin weaves heartache and humor into this moving novel.
This book was inspiring. It was enlightening and even in the sorrow Jesus came through. Great read.
Austin never disappoints. I love books that make me want to be better. She is gifted at accomplishing this. Thanks for an inspiring read.
I just finished this one last night, and loved it. Two very different characters form an unusual, platonic relationship. The grumpy one is a Christian; the outgoing, sunny one is not a Christian. It is fascinating and realistic to see how they influence each other for the better!
