Three novellas, including all new Ivy Years fun!BLONDE DATE: A nervous sorority girl, a mean fraternity prank and an adorkable basketball player with a heart of gold. Blonde Date follows Katie and Andy’s first blind date… trouble! Study Period follows Pepe and his tutor Josie.
YESTERDAY: It’s been seven years since John Rikker left his childhood home in Michigan. Surely that’s long enough to scar over the wounds he received there. Or is it? Can Rikker survive a visit with his parents? And can Graham let him do it alone?

This is that perfect little extra bit that just puts the whipped cream on top of the sundae. Extra Crefit is 3 novellas that complement the Ivy Years series. We get a little sampling of everything. An unbelievably adorable blind date, a super cute study sessions turn more and a heartfelt story about a favorite couple as they return home to their families. These novellas just made me happy.
Blonde Date; 4 Stars Quite frankly this was a cute as heck blind date/first date romance with a really shy, nerdy, basketball player and a sorority girl who’s recovering from a bad prank being played on her by her ex. Andy has been lusting after Katie for a while but he’s not really on her level (ick) But Andy really is the softest, cutest boi and while I easily could have read another 200 pages of this, the 96 will have to be enough. The epilogue was unexpected but I think it was…needed?
Studly Period 4.5 Stars A hunky hockey player with an English barrier meets his English tutor who gets tongue tied around him. Cute. Pepe really is adorable and the way he called Josie chaton…shivers.
Yesterday 4.5 Stars I always need more of Rikker and Graham in my life. Could have done without the homophobia and talk of conversion therapy from the mother but all of that was overshadowed by how understanding everyone else was and how cute Rikker and Graham are together. Overall I would say this is the perfect icing on the Ivy Years Cake.
Loved it!!
These novellas were such an awesome addition to the Ivy Years series!! I binged the whole series in about a week and didn’t want it to end. SB is so talented!!!
Extra credit
Yesterday- I was so excited to hear that we were getting a little more of Graham and Rikker. I loved this. Graham has come a long way and become more comfortable with himself. Rikker has a tougher time in this one and it broke my heart a bit to see how him Mom treated him. But with how his Dad responded, it was enough to know that he will be ok as well. I missed them and this was a perfect little snippet of their life together now.
Study Period
Aww. I miss Harkness so much. Pepe always seemed like a fun character and I was so happy to hear we were going to get his story. I wasn’t disappointed. Josephine seems perfect for him. I’m a sucker for the jock falls for the nerd trope. I loved all the cute grammar references too, English must really suck as a second language.
I bought this for Rik and G’s story only, and it was so worth it. T_T My feelings… I don’t even know how to tell you. I love these two so very much, and I just soaked up this continuation of their story like a sponge. If you haven’t read Understatement of the Year and you’re looking for a good book, you’ve found it. Read that, and then come back here and melt with me over Rik and G and their beautiful story. They’re going to have a place in my heart forever.
I’ll keep this short and sweet. I loved every freaking thing about this book!!
I’m huge fan of Sarina Bowen and The Understatement of the Year is one of my favorites so when one of the novellas include Graham & Rikker??, well, duh no brainer.
Thanks Sarina for letting me know how my guys are doing!
