The Story of Home was the perfect book to end this series of second chances. This book is about the couple who have featured in everyones love stories. They have helped their friends find their happiness and now it’s their turn.
Zoe has been inlove with Sam for forever. He has always been they guy she can depend on. Her protector. He older brother’s best friend. Sam has always had a connection to Zoe but he never realised how beautiful she has become. She was always his best friend’s little sister but now that she is a young woman, he is seing her as much more. They decide to take the leap and explore this attraction and connection they have but a inconvenience separates them. They both are left hurting. Years pass and they are brought together because of a tragic event but their lives are put on the back burner. They have been helping out in everyone’s lives but recent events force them to confront their issues. Zoe is done hurting. Sam better makes things right or risk losing her forever.
Zoe was such a badass with her quirky comebacks and fiery personality. I adored her. One word comes to mind after reading this epilogue and that is, complete. All the couples in the Langley Park series have been through so much and have been separated for years bit their love for each other has never wavered. Everyone has found their forever and Zoe and Sam were the best couple to end the series with.
4.5 Stars!
I have been waiting for Sam & Zoe’s story since the first Langley Park book. You could just feel the chemistry between these two throughout the series. Krista delivered another great story that was balanced with the right amount of romance, suspense and humor (I love Zoe’s insults). The twists kept me flipping the pages, while the backstory supplied the missing elements ~ these two simply belonged together!!! Add Tommy….PERFECT series ending
I am going to miss the Langley Park gang, I have fallen in love with these characters over the past year!
3.5 Stars
The Story of Home is book 5 in the Langley Park Series. While it was able to be read as a stand-alone, I definitely think this book would have made more sense had I read all of the other ones first.
I really enjoyed the majority of the storyline but there were a few things I would have liked to be expanded on. At the beginning, the story was full of so many characters and situations and I really felt as though everything was being rushed. However, things really slowed down and got intense towards the middle and I became hooked wondering how things were going to play out.
This book had lots of mystery and suspense as well as some heartbreaking moments. There were also a few hilarious moments that had me laughing at the crazy situations Zoe and Sam found themselves in.
I really enjoyed the writing and the characters that pop up throughout the book. I’m definitely going to go get my hands on some of the earlier books to see what things I missed. – By Alisa
Oh Wow!!!!!!!!! The finale of the Langley Park series was amazing. Zoe and Sam’s story. A page turner. The emotions the struck me as I read page by page. The love between Zoe and Sam , their strength, their determination, and their stories. The way everyone comes together at the end. The ending was fabulous. I totally loved this book. An ending I hoped for Zoe and Sam but totally didn’t see the twists and turns. Thank you Krista. Definite 5 star +++++++.
The Story of Home is the fifth and final hook in the Langley Park Series. I loved it. I loved Zoe and Sam. Zoe was hilarious with all her comebacks! I loved her sassiness. Sam was sweet and just a great guy. They were perfect together! Great series!
Another great book to the series. This may be my favorite. Emotions run high with Zoe and Sam coming together. The author does a great job building their story , pulling you in with all the twists , turns and action throughout. I was hooked from start to finish reading their story. Highly recommend this book / series.

This is a first in this series for me so I feel like I have missed so much but I loved this story with Zoe and Sam. I started out not liking Sam to have him redeem himself later in the book and Zoe was a strong and fiesty. So much emotion going on in this book it was hard to put down.

Well I have to admit I was a little sad knowing this was the last book of this series but Krista knocked it out of the park with this one! Although it’s Zoe and Sam’s story she had a piece of everyone involved at one point. There is laughter, some sadness, lots of action that had me eagerly turning the pages. Zoe’s spunkiness catches your attention from the start and you can’t help but fall in love with these stories. I received an ARC of this and volunteered to review it.
There are two lines in the book describe this series perfectly, “Scarred hearts and second chances. Welcome to Langley Park.” I wanted Zoe’s story before I was even half way through book one, and while I hated the wait, Zoe and Sam’s story had to be last, because it all comes full circle. Zoey and Sam have the longest backstory when compared to the other couples. The book goes back 15 years with Ben and leaving for Arizona; Zoe and Sam admitting their feelings to each other; Gabe and Monica working together; Em’s accident; Zoe and Sam have their black moment that separates them; and the foreshadowing of Zoe leaving college (where she meets Jenna). Then the book jumps ten years to explain why Zoey returned home and while waiting at the airport, she notes seeing a UPS plane (cue Nick). Then we jump to present day were the book four left off.
If hints hadn’t been given of Sam and Zoe’s relationship throughout the first four books, I’m not quite sure I would have fully felt their connection in the beginning of the book like I did with the other couples. That aside, get ready for some seriously steamy moments, for all the feels, for some crazy laugh out loud moments (chapter 16), and some sassy, salty, and smart mouth comments. I sincerely hope that the author revisits Langley Park so we can check in with these couples that we love. In the end that epilogue was everything it needed to be and more. I couldn’t have imagined a better way to end the series.
I can’t begin to describe how much I loved this book. I loved Sam’s gentle kindness and Zoe’s fierce determination to do the right thing and help people she knew were in trouble. I loved how love won out over everything else. And as a Kansas City resident, I also loved the references to Boulevard Ale and Winstead’s. This was a great ending to a wonderful series.
This book is oh so good! We get smart-mouthed Zoe and everyone’s friend Sam’s story. And quite a story it is…it begins 15 years ago with a secret no one expects. We have Zoe and Sam at a couples retreat as a cover for her trying to spy on a juvie girls prison next door. This retreat is hilarious and don’t be drinking anything while reading that part js. This book also has all of the Langley Park couples, nasty prison guards, hippies, greedy businessmen, lots of sexy steamy scenes and love.
