I did so love reading about the people of Charock and how the guardians were protecting their Queen’s eggs whilst also discovering their Fated Mates. They have certainly been my favourite stories about dragon shifters, so when I saw that this was a follow on story about one of the hatchlings I was delighted! Meg Ripley drew me into their world and helped me understand them and like them so very much. A terrific storyline that is so well written by this very popular author. Kaylee is an archaeologist and knows of her heritage so she was excited to be able to visit her planet and one particular dragon shifter, just happens to catch her eye. Can she find love there??Great chemistry and fun interactions in this real page turner of a book. She discovers a spell able to open a portal, but before she can cross over to her own world a gang of royal guard are bought over and she has to deal wit Archard. Will she be able to get to where she belongs? Will Archard’s dragon get his mate? A great story and well written.

The great character and plot development made this book one intriguing read which kept me totally glued to my kindle until the turn of the very last page!
What a great start to a new series
Unique take on dragons
I really loved this book. The new characters and the storyline that had me intrigued right from the start. I can’t wait to find out what happens next to these Earth dragons from Charok.
Totally enjoyed this
Well worth reading!
Dragon’s Royal Guard continues after Daddy Dragon Guardians, but can stand alone. Kaylee is Julian’s and Naomi’s daughter. To be exact, after the Queen was killed, her four offspring escaped in the care of their own guardians. Kaylee is an excellent translator but has always secretly yearned for something else. An unexpected event causes some remaining guards to appear out of the mist. Archard vehemently demands to leave for his home but can’t deny the pull toward Kaylee. I recommend your reading this book in the Shifters Between Worlds series and suggest reading Daddy Dragon Guardians Boxset as well.

Archard is a dragon on Charok whose familial duties are as royal guard to the queen. Kaylee is a student studying Archology. When Archard and his family are accidentally transported to Earth, he meets Kaylee and feels an instant attraction to her that he cannot deny. This was a great Dragon shifter romance. Well written with great characters and an interesting storyline. If you like Dragon Shifter Romance you will enjoy this book.

Kaylee was brought to earth as a dragon egg when the Queen was killed on Charok. She has an ability to translate any language which helps with her archeology work. Archard has lived on Charok and his few family members were the last dragons left since the Great Curse. This has dragons, wizards, ogres, spells and so much more. An interesting storyline with wonderful characters that kept me turning the pages.

This is a wonderful spin-off to the Beverly Hills Dragons series, we see what the baby dragons from that series are up to. In this book we follow Kaylee, she takes us on a wonderful ride, finds a true love and makes us fall for dragons all over again.
Wonderfully well-written and entertaining. Loved the characters.
Kaylee has lived her whole life on earth. Archard has lived on Charok, one of the last dragons since the Great Curse killed almost everyone. Kaylee has always felt that she was looking for something, but one day they open a portal to Charok and dragons fall thru. What will she do? Will she figure out the right way to travel there? Can She get Archard back there? What are the feelings they are having? I feel this story was rushed in some areas, especially at the end. I think it if there was more written in the ending it would have been a lot better. For a short read it was good.

The start of a new series called Shifters Between Worlds it is about the children of the Daddy Dragon Guardians, Dragons of Charok series. A well-written story that held my interest from the start. Kaylee does not know what her heritage really is, she and her Father fleed Charok for Earth when she was still an egg. When Julian and her with Varahan’s help try to find a way to Charok they open a portal that pulls Archard who is a royal guard and the rest of his clanmates to Earth. I enjoyed reading Kaylee and Archard’s story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Kaylee Turner, an expert and gifted translator/decoder, shifted uncomfortably on the international flight. Normally she was happy with a good book, but not today. They were heading into Zimbabwe, and once again she felt as if she were looking for something – yet she didn’t know what. Dr. Morrick — one of her first archeology professors and the man who invited her to come to the Great Zimbabwe, a monument so stunning an entire country was named after it — greeted her when she arrived. They had just found a new chamber in the structure they were exploring, and inside was a tablet set in a small stone box. It was the tablet they wanted Kaylee’s help in interpreting. She met a couple other members of the team in what was obviously a library. Their friendly greetings put her at ease, until Dr. Atwood came striding into the room to rudely tell her to return to college because he knew she was an imposter and could add nothing to their work. Dr. Morrick rebuked him, reminding him that he was in charge and valued Kaylee’s work very much, as did much of the scientific community. She took a number of pictures of the tablet, with Dr. Atwood snarling at her that pictures were not allowed. With her gift, she knew what was written on the tablet, but she needed time before she revealed that.
Archard was arguing with his cousin who thought it useless to keep the old ways alive. Archard was to be a royal guard, but the royals were all killed in the War of Storms. Yet he didn’t want to just let their old duties all be forgotten. He had been spending time in the royal caves, reading the stories on the walls. One of them indicated the return of the Awakened One, a descendant of royalty but not living on Charok. He didn’t understand what it meant, but he always felt something pulling at him.
Kaylee was interested in the planet her father and mother came from twenty years ago, Charok. When they try with wizard Varhan’s help to find a way to see it and whether other dragons may have survived, something begins to go wrong with the spell. A portal opens and ends up pulling Archard, Callan , Lucia, and Kieran through the portal to Earth! Varhan touched the portal with his wand and it turned back into the floor it had originally been. Archard is immediately drawn to Kaylee and he finds it more and more difficult to concentrate around her. When she touched his arm, a spark much more than static electricity caused her to back up quickly. What will the future bring them now? Is there a way back home for the newcomers? Is Kaylee ready to accept her mate once they realize what their unusual feelings mean?
I love this story and the fact that it brings Julian back into the story line. It’s nice to find familiar characters and see how they have been doing. Now this starts a new adventure! The characters are described well and the story line is nicely paced. Grab your copy and enjoy!
A great start for the spin-off series! I love Kaylee’s character, she’s strong willed, independent, incredibly smart, beautiful and very sweet & sassy. And Archard is stubborn, sexy and hard-headed, yet can have a sweet side.
I can’t wait to read the next book!
