I needed time to myself at the cabin.
There I came across Melody, left to die in the woods.
After finishing my stint as a SEAL, I’d thought my days of fighting were over.
But if her attackers ever came back, I would kill them.
Especially now that she’s carrying our baby.
Fallen is a standalone romance with a healthy dose of steam, no cliffhangers, no cheating and a guaranteed happily ever after.more
Another amazing book by Ava, I am so in love with this book, what a wild emotional ride this book took me on, OMG!!! I was on such a crazy book high from this, I just could not put it down.
Having read previous books by this author was not disappointed with the story. I loved following Melody and Matthew’s story, and found this an enjoyable suspenseful romance. I look forward to reading more from this author.
Great short small town mountain man romance. Melody and Matthew share a strong chemistry. This story is well written, action packed, and suspenseful. I like the secondary characters. I love the ending.
Melody is on the run from a client. She;s in the mountains and a storm is approaching. Just as she found shelter she;s found by the hoods that were sent after her to kill her. They take her out to the woods further and beat her and leave her for dead. Matthew has been through a bad divorce which zapped his energy and mental strength. Now he;s in a cabin in Vermont and only doing less than a dozen emails a day with the company he started with his ex wife. While out checking his traps he comes across a few drops of blood and starts to follow the trail Then he finds the body of a woman. He had been out of the Navy SEALS for several years and although he tried to keep in shape carrying this unconscious woman does make it a bit of exercise. Life as he;s known it is about to change.

I was hooked from the very beginning of this well written storyline with characters that were so well developed that as I turned the pages I felt like I was being drawn deeper and deeper in as the relationship between Melody and Matthew evolved!
Fallen was such a fantastic read and a total enjoyment read!
Attacked and left in the woods to die, Hannah was rescued by Matthew. Now he would do anything to keep her safe.
What a great story line, I absolutely love the chemistry between the two and couldn’t put the book down! A definite must read!

Fast, easy read. Melody is on the run. Matthew is hidden away but finds Melody nearly frozen and badly beaten. Bad weather makes him take her home to recover. Steamy with non stop action. As usual, this author turns out a page turner that you’ll fly through. (I voluntarily reviewed an ARC).
An amazing fast pace read!! It is beautifully written with a well-developed consistent engaging plot that will grip you from beginning to end. It is an on the edge of your seat read with an intriguing storyline, lots of twists and turns, secrets, danger, and suspense. The characters are likeable, strong, and sweet; the chemistry between them is intense and potent. It is a very exciting and enthralling read and comes highly recommended. Two fallen characters who learn how to live again.. When Matthew, a self exiled “hermit” who also happens to be the CEO of his security company stumbles across a badly beaten and bloodied woman, he first thought she might be a dead. As he nurses the mystery woman back to life, strange things begin to happen. When Melody first awakens, the site of the “hermit” scares and confuses her but then she begins to trust, something she thought would never happen again. Both Matthew and Melody soon begin to feel things they both thought were lost forever but is their chance at happiness doomed to fail before it is given a start? There are suspenseful moments in this book that will keep you on the edge of your seat and reading “just one more page” until you realize you read the entire book in one day. This is not your typical Mountain Man Romance and one you would you would be wise to purchase.
I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest and totally voluntary review.

An exciting well written short romance story. It is action packed with drama, uncertainty, danger, fear, tension, and suspense in this engaging storyline. Melody and Matthew have sizzling chemistry and a strong connection that makes them likeable with a supporting cast of interesting characters. I was on the edge of my seat while these two navigated the dangerous road to a HEA

Melody is on the run, trying to stay alive but when the bad guys catch up to her she realizes that the end is near. Mathew loves being alone and secluded in the mountains. He can still remotely keep involved in his company. When he comes upon the beaten and almost dead Melody he becomes her hero. I do believe this is one of this authors best books! The romance is awesome but I loved the touch of danger too! This is a must read!

I really enjoyed this wilderness romance with cartel bad guys searching the woods for there runaway.
Melody is running for her life. She is found, beaten and left for dead. Matthew finds her and nurses her back to health. With no one to turn to and nowhere to go Melody finally confesses to Matthew what she was running from. Although Matthew is the good guy, I can’t help but take exception to him putting the moves on Melody while she is still recovering. It seems that he took advantage of her. While they were fooling around, Melody felt pain from her injuries. I feel Matthew was totally insensitive and could have waiting to hook up but he did not. Not that she minded much. The bad guys come back looking for her and all heck breaks loose. The problem with the ending is how did Melody get out of the trouble she was in? The book says nothing about it.
