A love triangle with a twist that will leave you reeling…In some ways, I was ordinary. Waking up in bed with Paul, our life filled with sandy toes and tan lines. I stocked books during the day and danced with him to Bob Marley at night. In other ways, I was unordinary. I’d dust off the sand and step into Stewart’s limousine. Zip up my evening gown and slide into my other life. Champagne and … and slide into my other life. Champagne and maid service. Quickies in between board meetings.
My life was a tide, pulling me back and forth between the two men. Soothing. Peaceful.
Then the undertow came, pulling my lives together, my men colliding, my breath shortening, arms flaying against the current, my heart breaking in its strength.
I should have known it would never work out.
This story was originally published in 2013 under the title Sex Love Repeat. It was a 7x Book of the Year nominee and a USA Today Bestseller. This keeps the same storyline.

This story! I loved it. It’s only 99 cents so grab it now. One of my faves by Alessandra.
Raw and sometimes intense, this story of the perfectly written love triangle will leave you in awe and a bit surprised. Unexpected twists, romantic yet bittersweet. Vivid love sceens are essential to this story and don’t disappoint.
I loved the huge twist about halfway through the book, and the intense passion between these lovers. I loved how free our heroine was with her sexuality, and confident.
The love triangle theme was excellent. Great tension, great characters, a wonderful push/pull that just gets tighter and tighter. I couldn’t stop reading this story and finished it on one plane ride.
As a surfer myself, I found the surfing scenes a little off. Most of the terms were outdated (nobody calls their surfboard a “stick” anymore) and there was a bit too much drama with a certain hospital scene, but overall it was a great story and the HEA will certainly stay with me for a long time.
I don’t usually read love triangle books, but I read everything by Alessandra Torre. I am so glad I read this book. It’s not your typical triangle or cheating story. I loved Madison and was surprised that I did. I loved both the guys. Then there was a twist that had me saying “wait, what?!” Alessandra really threw something in there that I never saw coming and destroyed me. I never cry but I was so heartbroken at the choices that needed to be made. This book blew me away!
Loved this book! Great, surprising storyline, sympathetic characters, and great plot twists. And HOT as all get out.
A love triangle like no other. In Undertow, Alessandra Torre delivers not only a super sexy, steamy romance, but she balances it with an MC in Madison who not only navigates this impossible scenario, but does it with grace, style and makes the unusual seem normal. This takes skill as you not only understand Madison’s situation but you are somehow rooting for a HEA even though you know this situation can’t possibly go on forever.
Alessandra delivers, as always with a unique unpredictability which makes every single one of her novels different. The twists in Undertow you wash over you and knock you off your feet.
Alessandra Torre just put this steamy, twisty love triangle in Kindle Unlimited.
OMG this freaking book!!! I flew through this one in audio and was honestly kinda mad I hadn’t read it before now. It’s so freaking amazing!!! It’s steamy AF and I just loved how well developed both relationships were.
It also kept me on my toes because I didn’t know where the story was going to go. In the end, I think even if you don’t agree with the choice she makes, you 1000% understand why. I mean, I love who she chose, but, if I didn’t? I think I’d understand why she had to do what she did.
only 99 cents!
I feel duped. This is sex, love repeat just under a different name. I love this author & have read the book, which I loved as well. Very disappointed.
One woman, two men, a shadow…swept away by the undertow.
This book is amazing. Madison has two men in her life, Paul and Stewart, a triangle. Both men know about the other, but their lives are separate, with one common denominator.
One offers wealth, dominance, control. The other offers unconditional love, commitment. They each offer the best of themselves and complete what Madison needs. Alessandra Torre has a way with words, they pull you in, the characters come alive, and they become a part of you.
But, can they live happily ever after just as they are or will their world come apart? There is a shadow that will come between them and decisions will have to be made. I loved everything about this book, the characters, the concept and the ending.
This book came out of left field for me. “two men, one woman who has sex with both, she loves them both and they both know about the other” – intrigued me…..got my attention….but it felt wrong to me until I started reading. I started out with reservations but the writing, the intensity of the relationships and the understanding of the feelings for each blew me away. The angst, the lust, the love, the sex, the wanting, the OMG moments and the ending…..all made wonderful by words written by Alessandra Torre.
“I hate society’s notion that there is something wrong with sex. Something wrong with a woman who loves sex. I’ve loved sex for as long as I can remember.”
Can you love 2 people at the same time? Truly love 2 people? That was the question I had thru the entire book. What did I think of a woman who kept 2 men? Did I think she was selfish? What about 2 guys being okay with having sex with the same girl? If they both loved her then wouldn’t they make her choose? I had all those questions throughout the book.
Stewart is a workaholic that has no time for a relationship, a real relationship that involves dating and spending lots of time with the one you love. He loves sex with Madison and she loves sex with him. Somewhere in 2 years of being together, they fall in love but not enough to change the status of their relationship. While I want to judge, I simple can’t because of the way the writer describes their feelings. I get it even though I didn’t want to.
Paul, the unconditional, carefree surfer who loves Madison with all his heart yet he knows that part of her heart belongs to another. They live together, he has her most of the time, their relationship is one that is real and fulfilling but why then does Madison still have Stewart? I get to see what real unconditional love is even though I want to say it isn’t fair.
There is a 4th person in the story. Not sure how she fit at first and then it was a OMG moment for me. Then there was the 2nd OMG moment and the turmoil that lead to Paul and Stewart meeting each other. It was very emotional and troublesome and let’s say, I didn’t go to bed till 3 am cause I couldn’t put the book down, I had to finish.
I will be honest that the ending seemed all too nice. I had some issues on how the ending came about. To speak of those would spoiler it so I won’t. I would still recommend this book to be read ASAP. The originality of the plot is unlike one that I have ever read- Bravo Alessandra for braving this scenario and making it into one with lots of emotion and beauty.
Undertow by Alessandra Torre is a standalone, love triangle story with twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat.
Reading an Alessandra Torre book is like eating a box of pralines. You never know what you get, only that it will be something delicious is for sure – and Undertow is no exception. Previously published as Sex Love Repeat, Undertow is the gripping story of Paul, Madison and Stewart. The story is unique, nothing like I ever read before. Madison is in a loving relationship with two men. There’s no cheating involved. Both men know of each other and are good with it. Only Madison is torn between the men, more and more. She lives two lives who differ from each other very much.
But Undertow is not only a love triangle love story, like always in her books the author has a major never expected twist and turn build I couldn’t have dreamed of. I read the book a few years ago and it was insta-love for me. So I thought why not re-read, and what can I say I loved reading it exactly like the first time.
Undertow is a breathtaking nailbiting pageturner that took me on a wild ride. I highly recommend the book and give 5+ stars.
