Coming face-to-face with my past changes EVERYTHING.I’m at the top of my game. All my struggles have finally paid off. Life should be great.I mean, life is great.Except for the fact that I can’t stop thinking of her. The woman who mangled my heart into a bloody pulp and never looked back.If I could free myself of our shared memories, my future would be golden. There’s only one way to move on-I … only one way to move on-I have to confront the past, so I can move into the next chapter of my life in peace. Which means confronting her for the final time.
I had no idea that knocking on her door that day would turn my life upside down.

All We Were was an emotional rollercoaster that left me dying to read All We Are. I couldn’t wait to find out what was going to happen with Lilah and Jimmy.
With that explosive ending in book one that gave a blow to our hearts, this wasn’t as heavy on the angst, but the emotional aspect was in full force.
I loved watching Lilah’s maturity and seeing her strength and growth.
I enjoyed seeing Lilah and Jimmy grow and work through their differences. They have an undeniable chemistry and their interactions were heartwarming. There’s a lot that happens in this story and a lot that could spoil the story, so I don’t want to delve too deep. Lilah and Jimmy’s journey is anything but easy, but it’s beautiful to watch unfold. A beautiful journey of growth, forgiveness, and love.
“I can’t be afraid anymore. I have too much to live for.”
All We Are was a fantastic conclusion to this wonderful, angsty, slow burning duet. Jimmy and Lilah are two of the best characters I’ve ever read about. Their relationship was pushed to its limits, and at the end of book 1, I was too. I didn’t want to wait to see what happened next.
I was more than happy with what these two authors brought to the table in book 2. The story held me captive the whole way through. Jimmy and Lilah certainly pulled at my heartstrings here, the emotional story showed a depth to the characters they’d held back before. Still, there were some twists I didn’t see coming. Not all, but some, lol.
I’m overjoyed with how this ended, and loved Jimmy and Lilah even more than I did before. Fantastic book that I can heartily recommend.
All We Are by Elisabeth Grace and Michelle Lynn was an amazing read and more than I ever expected. The first book was an angst-filled and very emotional ride and this one, though still very emotional, was also a very captivating slow burning romance. Lilah and Jimmy have been through so much, how would it all end?
After the ending of book one, I really had no idea what to expect next, but let me tell you, the journey was so worth it. I want to say so much, but you just need to experience this story as it was written. Jimmy needs closure to move on, but can Lilah give him that? This journey was about second chances, hope, trust and full of surprises!

Happy reading!
All We Are by Elisabeth Grace & Michelle Lynn is the second book in the Ex-Factor Duet.
The first book, All We Were, received a four-star review from me. I tend to rate high but also tend to pick books I know I’m going to like/love/gush over. Book one was good – I enjoyed the story and saw the merit in all the painful back and forth with James and Lilah but it was a lot of pain and a cliffhanger so I was reserved in my four star rating. As I hoped, book two was AMAZING!
Fast forward a few years from where we left them, and these characters have moved on and away with their lives. James is engaged to be married and Lilah, well she is clean and living a quiet life under the radar. For the sake of spoilers I’m going to be quite vague, but the emotion was ramped up. Justice won out in the end and the couple I was rooting for got their happy ending. I really enjoyed this duet and will definitely look for more from this writing duet. Enjoy!
Wow! Well that was an emotional read but it was amazing. It was beautifully heart wrenching. This is the conclusion to the All we were duet and it was epic. It starts six years after the first book and Jimmy is trying to move forward in his life but he feels in order to do that he needs to find closure about his past with Lilah. Lilah has made a beautiful life for herself so when Jimmy shows up she is shocked and worried. I don’t want to go into too much detail because spoilers but this was beautifully written. One moment my heart hurt for both characters, next I would be smiling, and then another moment I might be teary eyed. This book will put you through all the emotions but it isn’t drawn out it flows so well.
Wow, what a departure for the authors that make up Piper Rayne! Accustomed to their humorous writing, this angsty duet has been a pleasant surprise. I loved the story and loved the characters. For a big part of the book I was suffering because I didn’t like Adelaide and I hated seeing Jimmy and Adelaide planning their wedding. I hated seeing that Adelaide was in it for the fame and exposition more than for love. Then when I saw how Jimmy wasn’t so invested in the planning and saw that he wasn’t truly in love with Adelaide, he just wanted to settle down with someone, I breathed easier. I knew there was hope for Lilah. When he decided he needed closure from Lilah, I cheered. Then when he got the huge surprise, I was ecstatic.
I hurt with Lilah as they were negotiating their co-parenting, I hurt at her insecurities over losing her little girl, and I loved how considerate and human Jimmy was with her. I knew where the story was going but I really wanted them to get there fast. The slow development was making me crazy, I wanted Adelaide gone NOW. This was truly a great story and I enjoyed it a lot.
Wow!
After that ending in All We Were, I was expecting a whole more angst in All We Are, but to my surprise this book turned a lot more kind of a slow burn than I expected! I loved it!
I wont say much about the story in this one, because everything I might say it will spoil the surprise of reading it and discover for yourself the beautiful love story in this duet.
I’ve said before and say again: Jimmy is just wonderful! Like, I-want-that-man-to-be-my-man wonderful!
And Lilah, well Lilah just filled my heart!
Seriously, this duet is just wonderful and everyone should grab a copy and read it!!
Omg! I have not so patiently been waiting for this book. After reading book one I haven’t been able to get these characters off my mind. This dynamic duo has done it again! I can’t tell you the last time I stayed up till the wee hours of the morning reading. Once this book landed on my kindle I couldn’t put it down until I finished. I am so glad I stayed up, it was totally worth being tired today!
These characters and this story is all consuming. All We Are picks up six years later from where book one ended. If you haven’t read All We Were you need to stop what you’re doing and pick it up now. You will not regret it. I absolutely loved this duet and highly recommend it! I am not going to give anything away, all I will say is you won’t expect what’s going to happen. This duet is one of my top reads of the year.
