Curvy Miss Muffet told the lumberjacks to stuff it, as their curds were in her way… the two rival werebears? And when all three are assigned to work on the same project, will a shifter fight scare Miss Muffet away?
When werebear Alex hits a pothole and his drum of cheese curds and whey protein powder spills out onto the road back to Port Jameson, he thinks his week’s been ruined…until he sees Katrina for the first time. The curvy goddess manages to look even hotter after she gives him a thorough scolding, but will she give this Grizzlyfir Crew lumberjack a chance to impress her on a real date? And how will this cook compete with the mysterious stranger in her life?
Chef Quentin Horne never expected to find a human mate while working for Hemlock Crew. Although her curves fled, her scent remained, and the lumberbear’s hunter side takes over. Quentin is going to claim Katrina as his…and nobody, certainly not Alex, is going to get in this grizzly’s way.

A really good shifter romance.
What a fun romance!
Katrina is a baker at the Bear Claw Bakery and her favorite thing to do is go for supplies, early Monday mornings, at the local dairy. That is until she gets stuck behind an accident involving the two local bear shifter clans and their chef’s/cook, Alex and Quentin. Alex realizes right away that Katrina is his mate and Quentin is right behind him. But these two can’t get along to save their lives and that just ticks Katrina off royally… especially when she wants both of them. Now the question is can they put aside their differences when they realize they share a mate?
I voluntarily read and reviewed a free advance copy of this book.
*WARNING* contains explicit adult love scenes
Alex is a bear shifter and cook for his lumberjack crew.
Quentin is a bear shifter and chef for his lumberjack crew.
Katrina is a jane-of-all-trades for Bear Claw Bakery.
Since Quentin and Alex are on rival crews, they don’t get along at all and poor Katrina is tuck in the middle. Can these 2 stubborn werebears get along long enough to see if the baker lady is mate to one of them? Both of them?
This is a short, fun little story. These rival crew members argue over the smallest, silliest things. I liked that these guys were willing to let her walk away when they realized her expectations were to high. No one is or can be made to be perfect.
The second book in the Freshly Baked Furry Tails series and I could not stop laughing at some of the things that happened in this book. I loved reading it. This is Bear Claw Bakery’s BBW baker Katrina Muffet, werebear Alex a lumberjack and cook who works for Grizzlyfir Crew, and werebear and Chef Quentin Horne who works for the Hemlock Crew lumberjack crew. There is suspense, drama, danger, twists, turns, enemies, intrigue, humor, mystery, secrets, surprises, friends, and romance. I received a copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
Well worth reading!
My Thoughts – 5 out of 5 Unicorns – I loved it!!!
***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! Yes, I got a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!! In the future, I will pick up my own copy as I do most of Sable’s books!
This is the 2nd book in this series, but it is still in the same awesome bear-tastic world, and we are back in Port Jameson! This is for adults only due to the steamy content involving this trio of mates!
This story involves another baker at Bear Claw Bakery which is to be expected because the way to a bear’s heart is through his stomach. I love how Sable brings childhood stories to life as adult stories. This one is for Miss Muffet as if you couldn’t guess. The cook and chef from the two opposing lumber camps dislike each other, but they realize they share a mate. It always makes for an interesting story to see hot headed bears who don’t get along put aside their differences and dislike for the love of their mate. I love these Port Jameson Bears!
I highly recommend to any fans of Sable’s bear-rific world in Port Jameson with mate marks and trios trying to figure it out!
With two rival bear shifters claiming her affections and a big project that needed cooperation and harmony, Katrina had enough in her plate. Ideas, helping hands, motivation and a good dose of passion were a strong force. Would the bears put aside their conflicts and help their mate? Too much at stake to deny their feelings or too little to make an effort? Witty comments, romance, and more couples in line to find their own menages. This was an entertaining and funny story that I liked.
I really like the different bear series. This one is starting with some especially sassy women and belligerent (towards each other) men. My only complaint was the heavy use of puns. The characters were well written and engaging. The plot was quicky and the action fit the storyline. I look forward to the rest of the series.
As usual another enjoyable and entertaining read. Plenty of laugh out loud moments steamy romance to keep you hooked from beginning to end. Overall a good read. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.
This is a well-written, fascinating shifter romance which immediately draws you in and you will be totally captivated until the last page.
It is filled with two extremely hot alpha male werebears (Quentin & Alex), a feisty independent woman (Katrina), friendship, fated mates, attraction, jealousy, verbal conflict, determination, physical conflict, confusion, verbal banter, compromises, romance, acceptance, passion, love and some steamy scenes. There is also a tantalizing glimpse of a future shifter romance from this talented author.
I really would recommend this shifter romance to people who enjoy reading this genre.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It has a great story and great characters. It was a fast paced, easy read. Kept my attention, I didn’t want to put it down. Loved it! Must read!
I received an free ARC copy of this book and am giving my honest review.
I enjoyed this story and loved the cottage cheese fight. The plot had some one-of-a-kind segments that kept it moving along swiftly for me. There were a couple of spots where Katrina seemed a bit wishy-washy and I wanted her to buck up and make decisions, but otherwise, it was a fun “furry” tale with two sexy bear shifters and the girl they wanted.
An interesting spin on Little Miss Muffet
Katrina, a jane-of-all-trades, encounters Alex and Quinton, lumberjack bearshifters and cook/chef, when trucks from their lumberjack camps collide with each other spilling cottage cheese curds and whey protein powder all over the road. As the story progresses they must all learn to work together, learn to compromise and overcome obstacles if they are all to have a chance at a happily ever after.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
I got this free book through Prolific and I chose to review it. I loved this book. The characters are awesome. The book is well written. It is a short sweet read and I would tell you to give this one a chance. Being short and sweet doesn’t mean it isn’t well written so get it and enjoy!!!
