I’ll probably never get tired of the “I vehemently dislike you but I also want you like crazy” trope. It makes for great tension and great verbal sparring, which can be sexy as all get out. Cowboy Charming is a great example of this set up when the town heartbreaker and the preacher’s daughter find themselves working together on a local event. He thinks she’s uptight; she thinks he’s immature, etc.
Crush’s writing style is absorbing. I could clearly picture each scene, and each main character was well drawn with layers and quirks and flaws. The chemistry between the leads developed at a believable pace, both their contempt for one another and their attraction. I wouldn’t hesitate to read more of her Holiday, Texas series or any of her other cowboy/small town romances.
Small town, enemies-to-lovers, forced proximity, opposites attract, dual POV, livestock antics, drinking and rowdiness, corporate espionage, sexy times on the page.
This was a good read! The writing flowed well, and I liked Presley and Dixie together. I thought they had great chemistry, and their banter was cute. Presley was a good guy, even if he was constantly living up to everyone’s opinion of him. He was a better man than they gave him credit for, but didn’t let many people see that side of him. I liked Dixie for the most part, but I felt like the first time the going got tough for them, she couldn’t bail fast enough. It didn’t take long for her to come to her senses, but it was still a little annoying. I loved Gram, she was a hoot! She definitely kept Dixie on her toes! The ending was really sweet, and I was happy to see these characters get their HEA. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the other members of this family!
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
It was so good to be back in Holiday Texas to see what was happening with everyone as well as to see Dixie & Presley have their story! Dixie has sass and knows how to hold her own but has one weakness which is Presley her friend Charlies brother and the guy she has crushed on for a long time but won’t let near her due to his horn dog ways. This is a story of two people who may look like one thing on the outside but are actually quiet different on the inside with many a surprise to be revealed if they let you get close enough and when the town is put at risk will work together and learn much more about each other than they thought they would!
This is my favorite of the Holiday novels so far! Partly because I fell in love with Presley in the first book, and also because this was a love story for the ages. The preacher’s daughter and the town’s most lovable playboy? You know from the start it’s going to be a fun ride. Full of Crush’s signature humor and some of Holiday’s most entertaining residents (and the obligatory pig-related mishap), this was an un-put-downable, delightful read!
Cowboy charming was….where should I beginn? Amazing kind of mixture between new age Cinderella not aware of her beauty and charm who meets prince charming or better said cowboy charming, searching for truth and saving the kingdom.
As simple as it seems, the journey was anything but. The plot was nicely developing full of twists and turns wrapped up in humorous way making you chuckle all the time and investigation work every detective wouldn’t be ashamed of 😉
Both main characters are total opposites but just like the saying Dixie and Presley are quite attracted to each other. They fight all the time but the investigation work brings them very close and they seem to be growing fond of the other. Anyway there is always a hook right? The trust you put into someone that leaves you crashed and heartbroken when something get wrong… yeah you got it.
I loved every second of this amazing book filled with absolutely everything you wish for. Get this book peeps. It’s so well written and totally worth to read.

Cowboy Charming was a quick easy read about a small town.
Presley and Dixie are left to handle, The Rose, a local bar, when Presley’s sister has to take an emergency trip out of town to help her husband. Which wouldn’t be hard… if they could get along. It doesn’t help when it’s also the first annual, two weekends long, chili cook-off.
While Presley and Dixie are trying to manage the bar and the fiasco also known as the chili cook-off, they find out a dirty little secret. Someone is buying the land next door and planning to build an amusement park with a bar, that would put The Rose out of business for good.
Dixie has crushed on Presley forever but believes he is a ladies man that doesn’t have a serious bone in his body. Presley has always thought that Dixie is too uptight and needs to let loose and live a little. Neither person thinks a relationship will work. When left with the bar to manage, they are forced to spend a lot of time together. What they thought they knew about each other might not be true…
I thought this book was light-hearted and hilarious. The stunts Dixie’s gram pulls are so freaking funny, it had me laughing out loud! It was so cute!! It had a bit of a mystery of sorts and a tad bit of action. It’s written in the third person.
Plenty of charm and humor fill this small town romance. This is Dixie and Presley’s story. I thought that the storyline was fun and entertaining. As this opposite’s attract romance unfolds you will find yourself enveloped in these character’s lives and embracing their world. The attraction and chemistry between this good girl, preacher’s daughter and this heartbreaking, cowboy casanova is strong and smoky. I just loved these two and the impact they had on each other. Cute, sweet, incredibly genuine and immensely swoon worthy, I found this to be a very pleasurable read. This is my independent, impartial review.
3.75/5 stars.
This is book 3 of the Holiday Texas series. It is also the third book that I have read from this author and I enjoyed the story as much as the other two books This story can be read as a standalone so you won’t lose anything if you haven’t read the first 2 books. Dixie and Presley were great characters and had some great chemistry once they gave in to it. It was a good read and will have you laughing as you are reading it. I do recommend this book as well as the entire series.
I received an ARC from NetGalley and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Dixie King is an absolute sweetheart. Preacher’s daughter she may be, but she has a streak of self-sufficiency that runs strong, an aptitude for handling herself, and a know-how-go-getter-attitude that keeps her on the path towards whatever goal she shoots for. Though inexperienced in matters of the heart, she’s got a wealth of love to give to the right guy…but what if the right guy doesn’t seem to be so much long term as he does “for the moment”? Ah, yes…that would be our cue to introduce lead number two…
Presley Walker is what ice cream is to a girl in need…delicious, crave worthy, but not necessarily good for your health, or in this case your heart…at least historically speaking. His dating history leaves much to be desired because the words long and haul don’t seem to appear anywhere near each other in his vocabulary…but sometimes it just takes the right one to set a man straight…much to his own surprise. Honestly, I adored Presley! True, he didn’t take most things seriously, but when the chips were down (literally and figuratively), you could count on him, no questions asked. Together, they may seem like oil and water, but sometimes the most unlikely of matches make the most beautiful happy endings.
All in all, I enjoyed my time between the epages through and through! I laughed, I cringed, I swooned, I rooted for the little guy, and I walked away into that proverbial sunset with a happy heart. If you like Contemporary Romance, or even Cowboy Romances, be sure to make room on your MUST READ list for this upcoming release!
**ebook received for review; opinions are my own
This was a cute small town fun story. We have your good girl Dixie whom you can count on and know she will always do what is right, her friend Charlie gets her help to run the Rambling Rose in the name of playboy Presley Walker, the guy who loves all woman but sticks to no woman, and she might a have a little just a little crush on..enjoy!
Rcvd and ARC at no cost to author..(netgalley) Voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opinions
Cowboy Charming by Dylann Crush. If I told you there was a book that had three love stories at once, you would think I was crazy. However, there is such a book, Cowboy Charming by Dylann Crush. Now I didn’t say all the love stories were human. A boar and a sow make for a hilarious love story, especially when said subjects weigh several hundred pounds. Then a Grandmother love story that will make your heart beat faster and the world seem right. Finally, the love story between the main characters, which Dylann Crush makes so real you will swear you know them, or someone just like them. These characters just step off the page into any small town in America. The main characters, Dixie and Presley, keep the show going. This book is so hilarious while being so real, you just have to laugh out loud, not once but many times.
It would be so easy to give this story away with a spoiler but that would be a shame for those who want to read it. Presley and Dixie have an on again off again relationship due to Dixie’s lack of romance expertise. Just imagine a Casanova such as Presley giving flirting and romance lessons to Dixie. It is just too funny. Gram doesn’t waste any time, says she doesn’t have enough to waste, laying claim to her man. The boar and sow, known as Ham Bone and Pork Chop, can’t be kept penned except together. And over all of this are Horned Toads and their impact on the environment, or at least the environment of the book.
If you do not read Cowboy Charming you will be missing the experience you always want when you read a book. There is romance, disagreements, one-up-man-ship, and most of all, hilarity. This is more than a beach read, this is truly a wonderful story that everyone should experience. Thank you, Ms. Dylann Crush, for writing such a wonderful, realistic and truly creative story.
Dixie is a good girl, Preston is a bad boy. She had crush on him when she was young, now she doesn’t like him anymore. Both of them must work together taking care of bar and festival while her boss/ his sister is away.
Besides taking care of bar and festival they have to work together to save bar, doing everything to keep some company from buying land next to bar.
Loved both characters, storyline is great, funny. LOVED IT.
Dylann Crush has done it again!!
I have laughed so hard while reading Cowboy Charming.
Presley has always intrigued me and I knew his book would be quite entertaining, but Dylann Crush truly has taken it to another level.
Presley and Dixie’s sparring is perfect. Sweet, sexy, and down right superb!
Then she went and threw in Gram, she’s a hoot and a half, my kind of lady.
So I raise a toast to Ms. Crush on surpassing my favorite book by her, All-Around Cowboy, with this new amazingly entertaining book, Charming Cowboy!
Everyone one go grab this one and be entertained.
My favorite summer romance this year!
Book three is this series centers around Dixie King and Presley Walker.
Dixie is the preacher’s daughter, always doing the right thing ,following the rules and not a one night stand girl. She currently is working at local bar, Rambling Rose, keeping the “handy men” at arms length. But that doesn’t mean that she isn’t attracted to Presley.
Presley is the local playboy and brother of the owner of the bar. When Charlie, the bar’s owner has an emergency and needs to leave town to help her husband, she asks both Presley and Dixie not only to run the bar but also take care of the Chili Cook-off taking place in her establishment.
That’s when the fun and action start . These two opposites are like magnets in their attraction. Don’t they say opposites attract???
An entertaining plot , filled with the townspeople, some humor, family and of course romance.
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Netgalley and Sourcebooks. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

I always enjoy revisiting Holiday and its characters.
What I liked:

I look forward to reading the next book in this series.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC from NetGalley.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from SOURCEBOOK Casablanca via NetGalley and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
This was a charmingly funny story. I loved reading Presley Walker and Dixie King’s HEA journey. The Walker family has been a wonderful series so far. I look forward to reading more of this family. The prior characters from the previous books made slight appearances in this one. It was nice to catch up with prior characters. I will say that I will never look at mini-golf the same way again!!!!
Presley and Dixie have a mystery to solve and they have to TRY and work together to do it. There were some really great scenes that were hilariously funny. This author is such a joy to read. I hope that Dixie’s gram make appearances in future books. She was a hoot to read and full of sage advice. I would love to be around someone like her!!!
I adore the dual format and this story has it. Getting a glimpse into the characters’ thought process really helps me to connect with them.
I highly recommend this story (really the prior books as well) to anyone who loves a book with a good laugh involved.
Dylan Crush is a new author to me but after reading Cowboy Charming I’m struggling to work out why she hasn’t crossed my path before now. If you are looking for a sweet entertaining witty read then look no further I’m sure you will love this small town romance. It may be book 3 in the series but it can certainly be read as a stand-alone and I know this because this is my first read in Holiday Texas and I loved it this witty read.
Dixie King is the local preachers daughter and she always follows the rules and being a one night stand is not on her bucket list. Dixie works at the local bar Rambling Rose and she is used to keeping the local guys at arms length but Presley Walker is getting under her skin and she is finding it hard to fight the attraction especially when he steps up to help run the bar with her as a favour to his brother Charlie who is the bar owner. It’s not just about the day to day running of the bar for Dixie and Presley it’s time for the Chili Cook Off and that’s when the fun and games begin !!!!!!
Playboy and preachers daughter makes for an interesting plot, this book has the perfect mix of romance and humour and I’m sure like me you will giggle and be left smiling like a Cheshire Cat.
One of those sweetly sexy hometown experience you can really get lost in… was sexy, fun, engaging and an emotionally thrilling romantic journey for two opposites looking to save their small hometown. Really loved all the exciting twists and turns this heartwarming journey takes.
