Absolutely AMAZING! I don’t think I have ever got so worked up about a book before. My emotions were so into the characters and the situations as I read them, that I felt like I was actually in the book!

Forged in Fire: A Reverse Harem Urban Fantasy, serial 1 by Bethany Strobelis a wonderful story that I love to read. This is book number one in this wonderful start to a brand new series that I have fallen in love with and can not wait for book number two to come out. This is a story that I highly recommend to everyone who loves reading about witches and reverse harem urban fantasies.

This is the 2nd book I’ve read written Bethany Strobel; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I will definitely be reading more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the chemistry between the characters.

This is the start of an RH series grounded in Greek myth. This first book mostly sets the stage for what’s to come in future novels. We meet Dora around the time of her 18th birthday. Her foster mother dies of cancer, and Dora leaves rather than stay with her alcoholic foster father. Her mother has given her a little bit of money each month that she has saved, allowing her to strike out on her own when she came of age. As the book unfolds, we realize that Dora is actually the mortal form of the goddess Pandora, who was cursed to live on the human plane without her goddess powers or knowledge of her Olympian life, being reborn every eighteen years in a new mortal form. Sometimes she’s only given minutes or a few hours of being unbound, and in that time she remembers her past–her lost love, her lost children, her other mortal incarnations, and all that she is in goddess form.
The book alternates between revealing Pandora’s backstory with Zeus, Prometheus, and Prometheus’s brother (who was her husband) and showing what is happening to the modern-day Dora. A version of Prometheus is in this town and has been controlling the human witches of the area. As Pandora comes to her full powers and her memory is restored, she wants to find out about her children. They were similarly bound to keep coming back in human form every eighteen years, but they would not suffer like Pandora.
What does Prometheus want? Will Pandora find her children? What will happen when Pandora comes into her full power? What of her new friends, like Tilly and the three men who believe they are a fragment of her former husband?
The book had some of the common issues with grammar, punctuation, and usage but not so bad that it distracted from the enjoyment of the book. Just a little side note: While this is said to be an RH story/series, that doesn’t start in this book. In fact, the heat level would be mild-moderate with just one scene that talked about intimacy (and even that was done with little detail).
The author does an excellent job in creating a complex world, both the world of the Olympians and modern times. I think the series has the potential to be very interesting, and I’m looking forward to seeing where the author is going to take it from there.
