All Spencer Grayson wants is to have the baby that he and his late wife planned. Finding a surrogate to carry the frozen embryo will grant his wish. But the wrong woman is inseminated. Now, his world is collapsing. Artist Winter Alexander has painted a perfect picture of her life. When a routine procedure results in an accidental pregnancy, the portrait she created blurs into something surreal. … something surreal. It’s a detail she can’t brush over—especially when Grayson expects her to carry his child to term.
Grayson’s heart is drawn to Winter’s warmth and colorful perspective. She challenges and excites him. Beneath his mask of cold calculation and indifference, Winter finds a torch of desire and vulnerability that touches her own soul. What shocks her most are the flourishing feelings for the man who threw her life off-kilter.
Together, they embark on a 40-week journey, navigating through a sea of self-doubt, conflicting emotions, and rising passions. Grayson must persuade Winter to make him and the baby part of her picture-perfect portrait. But when Winter is faced with the shocking truth, will the distorted landscape of their past ruin their chance at forever?

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!
I received an arc of this book and I’m leaving this review voluntarily. I fell in love with Cam, Adrianna, Bron, Lauren, Ayla, Ollie, and Winter in book 1 The Summer I Loved You. Now we get to know Winter’s character better. She’s strong but also vulnerable and her beauty is understated. She had a heartbreaking childhood and still struggles with it. The friendship between Adri, Lauren and Winter is so relatable. This book is fun, exciting, heartbreaking and heartwarming. I loved ever minute of it. At times Winter’s inner monologue has me cracking up. When she says she’s so wet she almost slips off the chair I literally spit water all over myself. It was hilarious. Grayson is the gorgeous millionaire and he’s trying to fulfill his dead wife last request but things gets so mixed up I feel so sorry for poor Grayson. Winter is at the clinic the day everything gets crazy but has no idea that anything has even happened. Then a few weeks pass and she starts getting really sick. As things start to unravel I was so engrossed before I knew it was 9am the next morning. LOl! There are surprises around every corner and at times I was crying. The love that begins to grow between Grayson and Winter pulled at my heartstrings. The sex scenes are set your crotch on fire smokin hot. Winter deals with a true life condition that is stressful to even read about. I highly recommend this series to everyone!
Consider me wowed!! This is my first book written by J. L. Lora and I loved it!! The writing, plot, twists and turns are superb and will keep you on a roller coaster of emotions. Bravo J. L. Lora for showcasing diverse characters with real issues!!
I received an advanced copy of this book and am enthusiastically leaving an honest review.
Winter and Spencer wrapped themselves around my heart. The Winter of My Love is a complicated story of love that blossoms at the worst possible time. Strangers caught in a web of deception, find their heart’s desire. Spencer is a man who seems to have it all. Haunted by a deathbed promise, he lands himself in the middle of a conspiracy that has lasting consequences for himself and the beautiful innocent that could be the key to his long- standing dream. Lora delves deep into the heartache of lost, the danger of greed and the healing balm of love. The Winter of My Love adds mystery to a stunningly, beautiful romance. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I’m a sucker for a secret baby romance–when they are done right. And hot damn, does JL do it right! I adored Grayson and Winter’s story so much. With a “Jane the Virgin”-esque plot twist, this story could’ve gone wrong in a few ways… but instead, it went RIGHT. Right to the heart, right to the soul, right to the feels!!! It’s book 2 in the A Love for All Season series and after reading the first one and this one, all I can say is I will need to brace myself for the third!
His life is spilling downwards and when the woman he wanted to carry his baby has gone. She is pregnant after a routine operation leads her to being pregnant. Now they need to work together but will it become more. Follow them as they go through the all the problems that could arise

For my first J.L. Lora, I have to say I am highly surprised. I was a little hesitant on the blurb, but I am a sucker for pregnancy stories so I had to give it a try. I am so happy I did. This story gives you a mystery, love, intrigue, suspense, and finally a baby. These characters Spencer and Winter are very thought out and the story is something that is welcomed after a couple of bad stories. This story has a depth that you don’t read very often and I found that to be a change of pace.
I could not put this story down and am looking forward to whatever J.L. brings our way.
This one pulled me in from the beginning with the intriguing storyline and interesting characters. When Winter goes in for what should be a routine procedure she ends up with the last thing she wants, a stranger’s embryo in her body. When that stranger turns out to be self-made billionaire and hottie Spencer Grayson things get interesting especially his reason for wanting this baby. Cue tears! Lots of emotion and drama in the story with Winter’s history and Gray’s feelings about romantic love. It took me awhile to feel the connection between Winter and Gray, other than their mutual concern for the baby. That was really sweet. I wish the author had given us a reason for Grayson not using his first name. Other than money and good looks he was kind of flat until he showed his love for the baby and then his concern for Winter as more than just an incubator. I liked Winter from the beginning. She overcame her fears and forfeited her lifestyle, wishes, and possibly her future to give Gray what he wanted. She was exceptional. And her girlfriends were the bomb. Loved the big ones and the little ones. Fierce love! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.
Okay, so wow. I’m not sure exactly what I was expecting but I’m absolutely sure I got more. This is my first read by this author and stunned stupid doesn’t even begin to describe my feelings …..
I jumped on this book because of the premise. It’s just not a story-line you see every day. I was captivated by the thought of this happening in real life and the cover was the cherry that sold the sundae! It’s beyond hot, amirite?! I expected the story-line to have an aura of anticipation and I expected to be captivated based on the blurb. What I felt when I read this story was more like excitement. I was mesmerized by both Grayson and Winter and by their journey. They were incredibly well developed characters with depth and substance. The story-line was never dull and it too was layered with a few surprises. This isn’t a short read by any means, but I read it in one sitting. I couldn’t get enough of this story.
I cannot recommend this book enough! I can’t wait to dig into this author’s backlist of books. She has serious talent people! #TRUST
Excitement from start to finish! When a mix-up occurs at a clinic, the wrong woman ends up pregnant and there’s a whole slew of mystery surrounding the low-down of who was up to no good and why. Overall I enjoyed the story and felt connected to the characters and their outcome. They were well developed and intriguing. The story seemed a tad long and I felt could have been tightened up a bit to not be drawn out so much, and I admit to being irritated that there was no mention of Grayson or Gray being his nickname, yet that was all he was ever called after the introduction and I kept wondering if I was mistaken and it was his first name.
When teacher Winter Alexander goes in to the doctor for a routine procedure, she never expects her life to be irrevocably changed. Now a high-powered man is turning her world upside down with the information he tells her. A sliver of her worst nightmare is coming to life!
Spencer Grayson can’t believe what is happening. His planned surrogate has disappeared, and a stranger has been implanted with his and his late wife’s baby. Heads are going to roll, but first he has to plead his case with this head-strong woman as to why she should agree to carry his baby to term. Before they know it, they are knee deep in attraction for each other, and the mystery of who knew what and why.
The Winter of My Love is the 2nd book in A Love for All Seasons. This is my first book that I have read by this author. I can say that you can read this book as a standalone.
I thought that this was an interesting idea for a book. Winter went in for a procedure and was inseminated with Grayson’s sperm. Was this an accident? How could something like that happen? Grayson finds out that his sperm was inseminated into the wrong woman. He also thought that his dead wife’s eggs were used. He wants the baby and wants Winter to his surrogate for his baby. She says she doesn’t want to be a mother, ever.
Of course, you will have to read the story to find out what happens. I loved reading this mystery about the missing eggs and his sperm. Hopefully this never happens in real life but, it could happen, then what?
I also really enjoyed reading about some of the other characters in this book. I am really hoping that Elias will get his own book.
This story covers a very serious condition, postpartum depression. It is a very real thing that does & can happen to any woman after having a baby. There is a discussion with important phone numbers at the end of this book.
I give The Winter of My Love 5 stars. A very interesting concept for a book. I loved it!
The title of the book might be The Winter Of My Love but J. L. Lora’s book is anything but cold. Mix together the suspense as well as the chemistry between Winter and Grayson and you get a steamy, hot book! Get out your coffee or mulled wine and some cozy socks. Let’s talk about J. L. Lora’s newest book in the A Love For All Seasons Series…The Winter Of My Love.
Imagine these scenarios if you will. 1. A woman goes to the gynecologist for to get an IUD and ends with with getting inseminated with some stranger’s sperm. 2. A widower hires a surrogate to carry his and his late wife’s embryo only to find the surrogate missing along with the embryo. Let’s add in a doctor committing suicide, money-hungry relatives, and slimy attorneys and what you get is the storyline of a Lifetime movie.
Spencer Grayson has met his match with Winter Alexander. His baby might be making her violently sick but she is anything but weak. After Winter’s childhood, she will not condemn a child to the life of coldness that she sees in Grayson. In order for Grayson to convince Winter to carry his baby to term, he is going to have to show Winter a different side of himself.
Ladies, you are going to fall in love, maybe a little lust too, for Spencer Grayson. No only is he a self-made billionaire, he’s a good man. A man who follows through with promises. A man who is naturally dominant but also gentle and loving. Winter, Winter, Winter. She could easily be a victim to her upbringing and in one particular way, she is. Winter is a fighter. She’s determined to stand on her own two feet. She’s loyal but she’s also scared. Scared that she will turn out like her mother.
I highly recommend J. L. Lora’s The Winter Of My Love and give it 5 out of 5 propellers.
5 Stars for a Beautiful Love Story….
To be a love story, this book has several twists to it, which I loved. It definitely kept my interest. Winter, a beautiful artist and wealthy, good-looking Grayson meet due to an extremely unusual circumstance. The book is full of intense emotions and drew me in from the first page. It was well-written with passion, love, happiness, sadness and more. I am sure you will love this book!
The Winter of My Love by J.L. Lora is book Two in the A Love for All Seasons Series. This is the story of Winter Alexander and Spencer Grayson. I haven’t yet read the previous version, so for me this was a standalone book.
Spencer wife has died and he has went forward to have the baby that was wanted but finds out the surrogate who was to carry his and his past wife has gone. But he does soon learn there was someone else that was inseminated with his child. Winter is taken by surprise for sure when she finds out that she hasn’t just been sick but pregnant after a routine procedure. So now Winter has a unexpected pregnancy along with a very unexpected baby daddy in her life. At first she find Spencer cold and harsh but she slowly starts to realize that he is just protecting himself from future hurts.
I really enjoyed their story and a different take on a romance story. Its one that you won’t be able to put down…loved it.
Book two in the A Love for All season this story deals with (PPD), it is handled in a caring way. Artist Winter Alexander and Spencer Grayson’s story held my interest throughout. A mix-up will bring these two together. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
A great contemporary romance with characters you feel like you know and a story so well written I felt like I was right in the middle of all that was happening from the beginning and I didn’t want the book to end when I got to the last page. I loved the attraction and undeniable chemistry between Spencer Grayson and Winter Alexander and shared their ups and downs, the whole gamut of emotions and their heartwarming romance. If you enjoy smartly written romance, you will love “The Winter of My Love” by gifted author J.L. Lora. I received an advance reader copy of this book from Book Sirens and am voluntarily leaving my review.
The winter of my love By J.L. Lora
he claimed her before he even had her
Grayson has set his mind to grand his late wife’s last wish and never expected to find love. Winter is determined never to become a mother. Faith has different plans.
I absolutely adored the characters, both Grayson and Winter are strong and kind. The writing is fluent and pulled me right in. The plot is original and suspenseful.
Disclaimer: I received a free copy through BookSirens. I’m leaving a voluntary review and this is my honest opinion. I’m in no way, shape, or form coerced, influenced, or paid to leave this review.
I’m not related nor friends with this author and I do not have a personal interest in this book.
I received an advanced review Copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Wow! Talk about creating the perfect storm. I don’t know how she came up with this story but I am very happy to be blessed with it. It has every element you could want in a romance/mystery novel. Blended together perfectly. J.L. creates a world that readers will want to be in and characters that readers want to know. If you have read the first book in this series, you know Winter Alexander, artist and friend of Adri. She’s part of the family. We love her. She has been through a lot and been in the foster care system. For that reason, she has decided not to have children. This decision leads her to a clinic for an IUD. How did she end up instead getting an embryo implanted and now pregnant? It’s beyond me. Pregnant with millionaire, Spencer Grayson’s child. Grayson (Gray) has spent years trying to make his deceased wife’s dream come true. Everything is in place with the perfect surrogate and in an instant everything goes wrong. Now he has the job of convincing a woman who never wanted to be pregnant to carry his child. Can both keep their distance from each other and their feelings to get through this tough situation?
Please read to find out. This book holds you until the last page. I cannot wait to read more of this series. I want to hear about Lauren. I need her to find love as well.
A beautiful story. On the outside Grayson seems to have it all and exudes an extreme coldness to the outside world. He is desperately trying to fulfill a wish for his wife who died when his life implodes. Winter is a dedicated teacher, artist and friend. What was to be a routine visit to the doctor will change her life forever.
The author does an excellent job of stirring all of the reader’s emotions. The characters are wonderful. There is beautiful dialogue between the characters which adequately provides an insight into their personalities and character. Their is steam and suspense as they fall in love and try to prevent outside forces from destroying them.
It truly is a beautiful story that will keep you turning the pages and make you want to read it again.
