This was a good read. Poor Scarlett, I felt for her. Her mother was a monster and it was a good thing she found her family in Ash, Drake and Benjamin.
Her mother is not the nicest of people and so she is treated really badly. She gets dragged around until she ends up with a new father and two brothers. Finally the brothers see what is really going on. Can they keep her safe? Will her mother allow her to leave? See what will happen

A good story about a young woman who has a selfish mother. Rarely allowed to live in any one place for a very long time, she feels very alone. Once again her mother forces her to move but this move has more than she bargained for in the few years she’s lived. While I enjoyed the story, there seemed a few gaps in the storyline. What happened with Troy? School just seemed to fade away after being a big part of the story. I think the story would have been better if there had been more depth – maybe a few flashbacks of short scenes depicting some of the times her mother treated her poorly. Some of the trauma she dealt with seemed unrealistic. In addition, a few things came out of the blue – a bit convenient in order to provide closure or more drama.
What a ride…. Wow. I mean seriously, wow. That was one hell of a read. I am not sure that I even know where to begin writing a review for this because it is truly an awesome experience. It was like these were real people and this situation could be real. I really thought this book was an awesome addition to the genre.
Great character development, steamy sex scenes and twists and turns to be able to sink into the book. This book is Amazing so get to it!

This was such a emotionally charged book. The characters were so wonderfully written. I could not imagine having to go through all the pain and tragedy that Scarlett went through and most of it at the hands of her own mother. This book shows you that sometimes your own blood is not to be in your life. That your own blood can make you miserable.

I’ve read a lot of books written by Raven Asher; she has done a great job at writing a fantastic book; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of books her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

I’ve read several of Raven K. Asher’s book and thoroughly enjoyed them, including this one even though it’s more of a teen-age/young adult book in my opinion. Her storyline flows as you picture it in your mind and her characters are so relatable you feel like you know them. With all the ups and downs, be forewarned, you may need tissues.
Since her father died, Scarlett has known nothing but hurt. Her mother was nothing more than a gold digger a woman who was as selfish as she was cold on the inside and she treated Scarlet horribly. When her mother had movers coming to their home, Scarlett knew her mother had found her next victim. But little did Scarlett know that this time would be truly different for her. When she met Ash and Drake that had nothing but animosity towards each other but with each passing day, they began to bond with her and Ash getting really close. Will this be her chance to finally get the family that she wanted or will her mother ruin things again?

First time reading this author. Very impressed I had so many scenarios going until I had to put it down to regroup and start again. I would actually like to see more about this family including the mom. Good book!
Love Unexpected was an unexpected surprize. I’ve read a few other books by this author but this is my favorite. Her books are mainly for the young adults but it’s just very refreshing to read a good, clean story that has a lot of substance. The characters are written in such a great way that you know you could be friends with each of them. They balance each other out and the story itself is very believable.
The story is about a teenage young woman, Scarlett, who has a horrible mother that leaves her for days to months at a time. Her father apparently ran off with another woman when Scarlett was very you. When mom finds a man, she spends time with him and leaves Scarlett. Scarlett has moved way too many times. When Vivian (mom) finds a rich man and moves in with him taking Scarlett who Vivian never told Benjamin about. That didn’t start off good and then there are two brothers that Scarlett didn’t know about. The story moves along with Scarlett going to school, dealing with the two brothers and becomes comfortant with one of their friends Trevor. You learn a lot about Scarlett and the brothers and the story brings out what it’s like to have a real family. The only thing I would have liked to have seen was more of Vivian and Benjamin and their relationship. Especially, when Vivian had to move on again.
This is a beautiful story that anyone who has a soft spot for a real family should read. I look forward to more of this author’s books. She does write other genres such as sci-fic and vampires but I’ll stick with her sweet contemporary romance
From start to finish I was hooked!!! Connection to the readers, connection between not just Scarlett and Ash but his brother Drake, their older half brother Trevor, their buddy Troy and The boy’s father Benjamin, and later on Sally the family services lady that rescues Scar from the abuse of her deranged mother. This book was a great book to read and laughed along, cried in areas and even got mad what the mother did to her daughter all the years since Scarlett’s father ‘disappeared’ and the abuse Scarlett suffered from not just her mother but he mothers boyfriends and Scarlett’s only ex boyfriend. Be prepared for anything.
