A psychotic kidnapper with a gun. A blindfolded ride to a ruthless drug dealer’s compound. Torture. A slow death. These were the things that were waiting for me in the parking lot while I worked the evening shift of what was sure to be my last day on earth. Then, he came in for dinner. He had a loud Harley-Davidson, a dry sense of humor, a contagious laugh, and seven friends. All he wanted was an … friends.
All he wanted was an enchilada dinner.
But. He was my only hope.
So, I handed him his meal, gestured to the parking lot, and told him my story.
As he sauntered toward the parking lot no differently than he would have walked into a bar, I wondered just who this man could be.
Finding the answer to that question wasn’t as easy as a person might think.
But it was the best ride of my life.

Reno gets more than he bargains for when he and some of his brothers stop at the restaurant that Carma works at. But he can’t walk away when he discovers she is in danger. And so he enlists the help of his brothers to help her.
Once started, I could not put this down, a great read!
Scott has done it again, Reno is a great mix of everything MC with love, humor and action all packed into one amazing story. I love that everyone had their own roll in this book, I missed Bama so much and was in love with seeing him again. Reno is a great continuation of the Devils Disciples and makes me want to go back and re read all of them and the Filthy Fuckers. I hope this is not the last we see of these two clubs and their lovely ladies.
Reno (Devil’s Disciples MC #5) by Scott Hildreth is a good old-fashioned back to the basics of a MC club story. In this one we get to meet more of the members of different clubs and their women. Scott is the master when it comes to MC stories and they are easily imagined through his words. Ghost is my favourite of the series, but Reno is right up there. This story had your heart pumping and lots of laughing as we deal with drug cartels, crooked cops, deportation and disposing of bodies. But let’s not forget the bike runs, hot alpha men and the women who make them better.
Camo is hiding from the one man who destroyed her life and has the power to do whatever he wants. She is smart and fun and won’t take sh*t from anyone, except for the men who want to kidnap her and take her back to a life of horror.
When unsuspecting MC members come into her place of work, she proves Reno is faced with walking away or helping the beauty out of a bad situation. Never one to walk away from helping someone he has now painted a mark on his back and those around him with one of the deadliest men in the world.
The question is can they both overcome their past and find a future together.
OMG this one had me in fits of laughter, especially the shower scene. Brilliant writing Scott brilliant.
Gripping read with intense moments and some lighter ones, a couple who initially come together in mutual need but become so much more. Two groups of men help with what needs to be done and others as well join in to keep a family safe from evil, and to stand as brothers for one of their own. I really enjoyed it
The Devil’s Disciple series is one of my favorite MC book series. FFMC is my all time favorite. Reno has the connection to both clubs and combining his story with both made it spectacular. Mr. Hildreth once again has provided his readers with a quirky, gutsy and very believable heroine with Carma. I loved her quick responses to not only Reno, but Cash & Bama.
Reno and Carma provide some instant heat in the first chapters. Both characters open up about their PTSD with each other and as the relationship grows, you can see them both enjoying life more. OMG — the shower. Never have I ever laughed so hard reading a sex scene. And the ending – Good fences make good neighbors, LOL.
Walking down memory lane and chatting again with characters from the FFMC was so welcome – I have missed them so much.
I know finishing Reno means there is only Tito’s story left for the DDMC – but maybe Scott will surprise his fans with another club that crosses over and we get to keep dropping in on these old friends.
Reno has been the character that I had trouble connecting with from the start and I thought I would struggle to like his book but his story changed that. Carma has been running for years from a man that had destroyed her but all it takes is for a biker with a protective streak to make her feel safe to start the healing. Their story is action packed, gritty, steamy and captivating. This fifth book in the Devil’s Disciples MC series is about showing actions speak louder than words when it comes to love.
I devoured this book, almost feel like I have a hangover, a little bit of a loss when it was over. Scott Hildreth’s writing style is unique, there is no one out there like him, he is simply amazing! His stories draw you in from the beginning, keep you captivated, & on your toes, while entertaining you and making you fall in love, by the end you are wishing it did not end. When reading one of his stories I always feel like I’m riding along with the characters. I felt every emotion and all of the anxiety. This story was like a family reunion. It was nice getting to see past characters. Hol-ee-sh#t this book was fantastic! Can’t wait to read what comes next from Mr. Hildreth.
