She’ll risk anything for the role of her dreams—anything but her heart.Veronica Pantoni is a rising star in Hollywood, but her last movie came with unexpected consequences. When the movie’s A-list stars and real-life couple, Chris Sanderson and Kim Donnelly broke up, rumors that it was her fault went viral. It wasn’t fair. Despite her growing attraction to him, they’d been nothing but friends and … nothing but friends and professionals. No one will believe them, however, so the only thing she can do is wait for the scandal to be forgotten. When she’s offered a chance at her dream role, she can’t believe her good fortune—until she learns that Chris Sanderson will be her costar and love interest. Not only will it continue to fuel the rumors that haunt her life, she’s not sure her heart can handle being so close to him again. Still, she just can’t turn it down.
Chris Sanderson knew the fallout from his break up with Kim would be rough, but he had no idea Veronica’s name would get tangled up in the inevitable rumors. Maybe if they hadn’t become such good friends and had such great chemistry, the rumors never would have started. But as bad as he feels, he’s determined to make another movie with her because she brings out the best in him as an actor. He’s tired of being seen as nothing but screen-candy and knows that she is his best chance at earning real respect as an actor. The only hard part will be remembering his oath to never get involved with a costar again. Especially when their chemistry begins to flame into something more.
But it isn’t long before they discover that love isn’t the biggest danger they’ll have to face.

A Hollywood movie set becomes the real life drama setting for this story. It is a behind the scenes look at making of a movie with the addition of real life suspense and romance not in the script. Once you start reading, your hooked! Definitely a 5 star book!

Nice quick sweet story.
This is a fun romance with some good kissing and a bit of suspense! It’s well written and the storyline moves at a good pace. Veronica is an aspiring actress and Chris is an A-lister. They recently did a movie together during which time he broke up with his girlfriend and the tabloids blame her. She doesn’t like the bad publicity, but her agent tries to keep her optimistic. Now she’s in a new movie with Chris playing his love interest. Will she be able to keep her feelings under wrap? What about Chris when he kisses her on camera like that? Then there are threats and later sabotage by an unknown person to try and get Veronica out of the move. Read the story to find out what happens!
I received an eARC and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Thoroughly enjoyed this well-written romance. Loved the characters and the plot twists. Did find the ending a little bit abrupt and not as satisfying as it could have been, but that’s a minor complaint. For a fairly over-done trope, I thought this book was fresh and enjoyable.
I loved this book. I couldn’t put it down. The plot was engaging and the mystery that brought Veronica and Chris together added to the story. I loved the chemistry that sparked off the pages. I liked that Veronica was an actress that had integrity and she was excellent at her job. Chris saw the value in Veronica and pursued her. I loved how the two interacted with one another. The way they tried to ignore their draw to each other was part of the charm of this book. I recommend this book to anyone that enjoys sweet clean romance and a little intrigue.
There is definitely chemistry between Veronica and Chris – even though Veronica tries to fight it as she doesn’t want to get up in a relationship with a fellow actor in the movie she is starring in. But then accidents start happening on the set and it takes awhile to determine who is behind them.
This was a fun, sweet, clean read. When I was younger, I really wanted to become an actress so this was especially fun for me to read. It’s a light, quick, clean read. Recommended.
I immediately bought this book when I saw it was released!!!! I absolutely loved it. It was very swoon worthy and just fun to read.
Michelle Pennington is one of my very, very favorite authors. I own nine of her books.
