I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.

Rory is the personal assistance to Michael a professional hockey player. Tom is Michael’s brother who is also a hockey player. Rory falls for Tom and is torn between staying with Tom or working with Michael. The characters are believable, the chemistry between Tom and Rory is hot and the storyline is good.
This is interesting, dramatic and romantic. Tom is a party boy who has lived in his brothers shadow his whole career. He’s a nice guy who has been repeatedly told that he’s a screw-up by his brother, Michael. Rory is Michael’s PA, who he treats like crap. She’s efficient, responsible and cheeky. Tom and Michael are looking at teams to see who they want to sign with, Rory is responsible for the logistics, and anything else Michael decides she’ll do. Tom decides that the Gulls are the team he wants to play for, but he can’t get Michael’s opinion on it. Michael is all gung ho to go to Arizona, and while he’s busy doing that behind Tom’s back, Tom and Rory are getting better acquainted, and realizing just how much of an arrogant jerk Michael is. Change is on the horizon for everyone.

another just ok. So we meet Aurora or Rory as she is called and she works for Michael but seems to always be bickering with his brother Tom. Tom honestly did need to grow up but he let his obnoxious brother bully him into doing what he wanted them to do. Tom also needed to grown and stop doing idiotic things if he wanted to be taken seriously. Luckily for him that he had Rory to help him out and as they were spending some time together gave in to their mutual attraction that they had been fighting. He woke up and stop being dumb and she got to get away from Michael and his ruthless ways..

This is another amazing and steamy book in the series. It is well written, consistent, and emotionally deep; the depth of feeling this book will invoke in you will make you tear up at times from the pain and love pouring out of the pages. The characters are strong and wholesome; the chemistry is off the charts. This series is a must read!

Another great read in the Slap Shot series. This book is focused on Tom and Aurora although you do get some of Michael in here as he is Tom’s twin brother and Aurora is his personal assistant. Aurora has been Michael’s personal assistant for three years now so she has gotten to know the both twins. Now with them both trying out for the Seagull’s she starts to self reflect on what she wants out of life. Tom is your typical hockey player on the outside but has some self doubt issues on the inside. On night Tom is at a party and loses his wallet and phone, he calls Aurora for help. A night out at the fireworks Tom and Aurora share a kiss, the fireworks in the sky isn’t the only thing lighting up.

Tom & Rory – who’d a thunk? I started reading, and figured she’d end up with Michael (who turned out to be a colossal idiot!). I loved their story. He realized what he wanted long before he was ready to go after it. She was in denial about her feelings. It was terrific to see characters from the previous books – they’re all so real and likable. I’ve missed some of the books in this series, and am looking forward to catching up with all of them.

Heather C. Myers melts the ice with SUMMERTIMES & TRADE DEADLINES, the ninth book in the Slapshot series. Aurora (Rory) Day is the personal assistant to professional hockey player Michael Tucker. The last person she should be attracted to his younger brother, Tom. She assists the two free agents as they team shop the Newport Beach Seagulls. This contemporary sports romance is suitable for adult readers.
SUMMERTIMES & TRADE DEADLINES is a heartfelt book. I like Tom. He underestimates his value. He thinks he is where he is at because of his older brother, Michael. Amy is an impressive heroine. She is organized and thoughtful. Michael is a selfish jerk. I didn’t like how he treats Tom and Amy. I like that Tom and Amy did some soul searching and grew as a result. There were interesting chemistry and obstacles between the characters.
I appreciated the plot. I like Seraphina’s role in this novel. She is a good GM/Team Owner. She is smart and observant. SUMMERTIMES & TRADE DEADLINES is an entertaining and well-written story. It is a great addition to the Slapshot series. I recommend it to lovers of sports romances. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
Clever banter and plenty of sparks light up this romance. Rory and Tom’s story was fun, sweet and very enjoyable. Another very good read in this series.
A well written story with nice storyline and plot. Some things are off but I liked the suspence and twists. Likeable characters who develops well through the story. I like the banter between the main characters. It is fun and made the connection better.
It is a captivating read and kept me want to read more. The 9th book in this series but still as good as the first one. As story where both the heroin and the Hero has to find themselves to get their HEA. They have to develop and luckily they do.
Entertaining and enjoyable read.

Tom tucker is self-centered and arrogant, to the outside world.
Aurora sees the outside first and makes her own assumption of him
Then it happened she sees the real him the soft hearted sweet man.
Once they start a relationship it’s hot but the problem stays with his brother Michael who happens to be her boss.
Now they have a decision to make.
Enjoyable, sweet read
That was no drama, no angst read. I had some hard time with the plot and inconsistencies in it, mismatch with the age of characters, sometimes I was lost with the transportation and there were some gaps in the story line but it was nice and easy read. I still don’t know how the connection between main characters were established and developed toward more serious feelings but they both together were funny, their interaction with each other were never boring. They both were a little bit timid and insecure but maybe it was caused by Michael who was controlling and domineering. All in all I enjoyed story of Aurora and Tom.
This book had a great storyline. The characters were well-developed and believable. I love the book, as well as all the others from this author.
