The price of a lie will be paid in blood.Nightland’s attack shattered the safety of the domes, leaving dead to be burned and debts to be settled. Megan is a masterful story teller with descriptions so realistic I was sure I was there witnessing the events unfolding!
Nola finds herself conflicted with an attack on the dome and feels betrayed by Kieran when she sees him pillaging the domes of supplies. She was saved from a lethal attack, however, by one she knew and forms a bond with three outsiders brought into the domes to help those inside save and harvest the plants to replenish what was taken. Things again spin out of control and feeling once again betrayed she makes a life changing decision.
This series has everything you would want in a story with memorable characters and a fast pulse pounding adrenaline fueled story that had me riveted to the pages! I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to find out what was going to happen next and the cliffhanger at the end will have me reading the third book in this series as fast as I can to see what happens!
I recommend this series to young adult and adult readers alike who enjoy a book that not only will keep you entertained but will make you wonder just how you would react if what is depicted in this series was in fact reality! To what lengths would you go to survive?
Megan’s series do not disappoint and if you haven’t read a book by Megan let me tell you you are really short-changing yourself because she is one of the best!! If you ask any of her legions of fans (and I am proud to be one of the more vocal ones) who enjoy everything she writes they will be happy to second what I have said!
Her books are worth 50 stars if it were possible because they are that good! Pick up any series but I would suggest this series Girl of Glass and its first book in the series by the same name and see if you don’t agree that you are holding in your hands a book and series you will want to reread again when you finish the series!
I am off to start book three now because I can’t wait to see what is going to happen next!!
Once again, fantastic read. Nola is back in the dome but not for long. There are hundreds of lights on the bridge to the city, and Nola is asked by Jeremy’s father to go and talk to the people on the other side. They have actually asked for her. While talking to them, the bridge blows up. The Domers had used Nola to keep the others occupied and of course a lot were killed. And some Domers also. This is all too much for Nola. Death. Lots of death. Love with a guard. Betrayal. The city. More death. Another ripper of a story in this brilliant series. Now on to Book 3.
The pace in this story has been uninterrupted from Book 1 into Book 2.
You ** do ** need to read Book 1 first ( Girl of Glass )because if you don’t, you won’t be able to understand what’s going on.
I read it in one sitting, being unable and unwilling to put it down.
Enjoy !!
