Holland Kelly isn’t a people person. Well, that’s not entirely true. She isn’t a “one man in particular person.” Her next-door neighbor, Reid Brooks, aka “Dick,” is maddening. The more she avoids him, the better her life is. If she never see his face again, it would be perfect.Unfortunately, life isn’t perfect. With the threat of eminent domain looming, Holland must turn to her self-proclaimed … her self-proclaimed enemy for help.
Unfortunately concentration seems impossible with those smoldering eyes staring at her…and those lips tempting her. When the land deal is settled, will Holland be able to walk away or left wondering how she can get more Dick?

I have been waiting for Holland and Reid’s story for awhile and it was worth it! It was a great addition to the Iron Horse series! I loved it!
Holland and Reid were perfect together! The banter between them was hilarious! They’ve been dancing around each other for years. I’m glad they slowed down and found each other! Take one hot cowboy and a saucy spitfire and you have one fantastic story!
I loved this book. It is well written. A great addition to the series. Holland doesn’t take crap from anyone. Reid has been in love with her for some time even though Holland doesnt realize it. Now their homes and livelihoods are at stake so they have to work together to save it. But can they do that without killing each other.
I love everything about this book!
First off if you haven’t read the Iron Horse series yet you need to stop what you are doing and go do it now and make sure you pick up all 3 books. Steadfast is book three in this series and it is Holland and Reid’s time. So if you are familiar with the series then you know Holland and Reid have had this amazing zinging banter since the first book. You can call it more of a foreplay banter if you like because Holland and Reid are oozing with sexual tension. The way their banter is a more of I love you/I hate banter is just them. Holland can be a little hard around the edges at times. But she will stop at nothing when it comes down to protecting her family land. I love how close Holland is with her sisters London and Paris. Reid and Holland are simply made for each other. It may take a few missteps for them to finally come together but they work so well to save all the land in their town of Geneva. I love Holland and Reid so much. I’m so hoping for more Iron Horse books. I couldn’t put this one down.
I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Holland and Dick’s (aka Reid) book!! Holland and Reid bicker back-and-forth like children but when a land developer comes into town trying to force the residents to sell parcels of their land they band together to stand up to this threat. Being the youngest sister Holland was kind of coddled growing up and she is feisty and sassy with a smart mouth. Reid moved to Geneva, Florida from Kentucky couple years ago and bought the ranch next-door to Holland’s family’s ranch. He just wanted peace and solitude to run his ranch the way he wanted to instead of the expectations of his family. These two has been dancing around each other for a couple years now. The spark that it takes them to get together is the goal of crushing a mutual enemy. Will everyone come out unscathed when these two finally come together? The banter and antics of Holland and Reid are quite hilarious. I can’t wait for this series to continue!! I highly recommend this book!
Holland Kelly likes spending time with her horses more than any person. That counts triple when it comes to her neighbor, Reid Brooks. There’s just something about that man that gets under her skin and causes reactions such as flipping him off, mooning him and even throwing manure at his house.
Reid Brooks is fascinated by Holland and her sassy personality. He finds he’d rather be fighting with her than spending time with any other woman. And, he may just bait her a bit to see that flash of fire in her eyes right before she shoots him the bird.
But, when an outside threat comes to their small town threatening to take pieces of their property to build a highway whether they agree to sell or not, Holland and Reid find themselves as unlikely partners trying to discover why this plot feels even shadier than it should. And, the more time they spend together, the more Holland realizes she may just like her neighbor a bit more than she though after all.
I’ve really enjoyed the entire Iron Horses series so far, but I have to say that Steadfast was definitely my favorite book. I loved just how much spark that Holland has and that she isn’t afraid to let her temper rule her emotions. She was such a genuine character in her reactions, even when she was flipping Reid off, that it made her finally realizing he meant more to her than she thought completely amazing.
I adore that Reid loves Holland for who she is and doesn’t try to change her in any way. They really were adorable together.
And, while I enjoyed Reid and Holland’s romance, I thought the plot of Steadfast was stellar. It was really unique and kept the story moving at a fast pace as Reid and Holland worked to figure just exactly was happening in their small town. 5 stars!
A•R•C ~ I was given Steadfast: Iron Horse Book #3 by Danielle Norman as an Advanced Readers Copy (A•R•C). I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
Thank you Danielle Norman for a great book 3 in the Iron Horse Series.
Once again you have created a perfect read for me, just the perfect blend of sassy characters, entertaining story and plot twists that must be overcome to get to our happy ending.
Holland and Reid’s story has all the parts of a great story. Holland the baby of the sister’s and Reid the neighbor who Holland loves to hate on are perfect together, he loves her spunkiness and how down to earth she is, her horses always come first to Holland and Holland comes first to Reid then his ranch/stables.
“Steadfast” (Iron Horses Book 3) by Danielle Norman is a great read. I loved Holland and Reid’s story! This is a wonderful addition to this series. This story is packed with romance, passion, a hot cowboy, small-town life, humor, entertaining characters, family, twists and turns, and more. I can’t wait to see what happens next. Highly recommend to all fans of romance, humor, and series.
This is the 3rd book in the Iron Horse’s series. Holland has spent a long time disliking Reid. Making sure she pushed him away as hard as she could. Reid has only had eyes for Holland, and loves all of the digs she throws at him. Their slight rivalry is about to take a new turn when its announced at the town meeting that parts of each of their farm will be taken by Imminent Domain in order to build a highway. Now they must work together to figure out what is really going on, because something isn’t quite right.
Such a great read. I loved the angst between Holland and Reid throughout the other books. He has always been amused by her antics and she just gets more upset because she can’t ruffle his feathers. Can’t wait to see if there might be a book 4 for Reid’s sister.
If you rub two matches together ,eventually you will get that little spark. There are nefarious plans abound in Geneva, Florida. Holland and Reid have been dancing around each other for two books (two years) and when they lower their individual defences for a collective goal they quickly find that getting along can feel just as good as antagonizing each other.
It was fun to watch the two tiptoe around each other and their feelings. We have known that Holland is fiesty and hot tempered and Reid may have found the perfect outlet to defuse her wrath. This story was so much fun to read.
I absolutely loved this book. It was amazing and I couldn’t put it down
I simply adored this book. The author has written a very heartfelt storyline with character you can relate to and feel their emotions as events unfold. You can’t help but love Reid. He’s turned his back on his family’s money. All he wants is a simple life working with horses oh and his neighbor Kelly. But Kelly doesn’t want anything to do with him and lives to make his life miserable. I have to admit their relationship is quite funny looking at it from the outside but it’s a wild, romantic ride you don’t want to miss out on.
The story takes place in a small town. When someone wants to buy of portions of their land for a highway expansion, the townspeople are in an uproar. These proceedings force Kelly to work side by side with Reid as they investigate the expansion deal. The more they dig, the more people of the town are intimidated to sell. Can Reid and Kelly work side by side long enough to get to the bottom of things before someone is hurt?
2 Thumbs Up and 5 stars for a great read that I Highly recommend grabbing up. You won’t regret it.
Holland, the youngest of the Kelly sisters love horses, and most people… and she loves to hate their neighbor Dick Books (AKA Reid). He always shows up just in time to piss her off! After watching these two feud in the previous books from the Iron Horse series it’s only fitting that these two frenemies come together to fight the Holbrook clan and their plans to uproot their community.
One things for sure, Holland has no filter and she’s not afraid to get her hands dirty, especially when it comes to giving Reid a piece of her mind. Reid’s not afraid to sit back and watch, waiting for a chance to pounce on the feisty and fierce Holland Kelly. When these two collide the result is hotter than the Fourth of July, but will they be able to put their differences aside, stop busting one another’s balls, and see that together they are a force to be reckoned with?
As a fan of the Iron Horse series I was eager to dive into Holland and Reid’s story after getting glimpses of their tension in earlier books. The wait was well worth it, once again Norman has written a story that pulls you in, makes you cheer for the good guys, want to yell the bad guys, and hope that the leads overcome obstacles to find their HEA!
Worth the wait…
I have been looking forward to this story since I read Stetson, the first in the Iron Horses series by the awesome Danielle Norman and this book did not disappoint.
The build up of chemistry between Holland and Reid has been building over the series and I knew that they would make the most amazing couple with all that sizzling hot tension.
If you haven’t read the first two books in the series – Stetson and Slow Burn then my recommendation is you do so because you will be chomping at the bit to get to Holland and Reid once they begin their dance/battle of wills!
As feuding neighbors its clear from the outset there is a lot of underlying feelings towards each other. Holland the outspoken not so girly girl has caught the eye of her neighbor Reid (Dick) Brooks eye, but since their first meeting in Stetson they got off on the wrong foot. This story tells how the once enemies work together to help the town through some troubles with lots of bumps in the road not to mention some miscommunication.
As I come to expect from Danielle Norman – her trade mark humour and quick wit is in full force which had me laughing and giggling at points. The anticipation when things don’t go to plan and you know bad things are going to happen had me preparing for a book hangover because I knew I would need to keep going to find thew resolutions. But the sweet moments were just perfect.
An enemies to lovers romance full of Love, passion, desire and fun.
Danielle is now a one click author for me and I can’t wait to read what’s next. Thank you for the stories Danielle and for always making me laugh.
I’ll be honest: I didn’t read Stetson (Book 1) but I did read Slow Burn (Book 2) and I didn’t really like it. BUT I really enjoyed this one. I felt there was much more depth to this story and the buildup was enough to keep me up past my bedtime so I could keep reading. I loved Holland’s blunt, smart assed, character and Reid is the ultimate hot cowboy.
I absolutely loved this book! I have been waiting to read Holland’s story since the first book of the series. Danielle really hit the nail on the head with this book. The characters, the story, it was all so original.
Holland has got to be one of my favorite characters. Such a spit-fire and reminds me so much of myself. This story was hot, original, and I couldn’t stop reading it! You will want to read this!!
***4.5 stars (rating subject to change)***
Not going to lie this is the first book in the series that I have read (I KNOW).
As such it is my belief that I wasn’t properly invested in these characters and know them as well had I read the first two books. Therefor once I have read the first two I will probably change my rating.
As it is I enjoyed the book. Reid was a likable and swoon worthy male lead and the banter between him and Holland was enjoyable. Holland, well who doesn’t like a strong female that states her mind? The fact that she acts and speaks before she thinks is both endearing and annoying SOMETIMES! Not gonna lie there was a few times I wanted to smack her because lets face it she was being a brat but she owned up and hey we get a HEA.
I don’t think anyone that is a fan of this series will be disappointed. If you are like me and haven’t read the first two, I would wait until you do. Like I said I enjoyed the book and the story but I think I would have appreciated it more if I had read the first ones. My only complaint is that I wish it was longer (like I do will all my books).
Steadfast is book 3 of the Iron Ladies series and this is Holland and Reid’s book. These two are like oil and vinegar whenever they are near each other. That’s what makes this book so enjoyable. In this book these two must come together to battle a land developer who is determined to get his hands on the Kelly family land and the surrounding areas. I love these two so much. I love the back and forth between Reid and Holland and Danielle is one of my favorite authors and I’m excited to see what she has planned next.
