Bull’s Creek is becoming quite the place to be. Evie came to Bull Creek broken. She is now stronger, braver and tired of feeling weak. Arlin is sent to Bull Creek after his tiger loses it on an abusive drunk. When trouble comes for Evie she’s determined to handle it herself. Arlin is so sweet when he’s with Evie and she’s trying to be so tough. I love how he keeps trying even with her attitude. Everything cam together when she realized he didn’t think she was weak and actually gave him a chance. When he wondered if he would turn into a human, I started laughing so hard I had to explain. I read this story in one day and was thinking about it all night. It was one of those feel-good books. This is a fully contained story but it is better after reading book 1, Magic’s Mate. I requested an advanced reader copy from Booksprout and am under no obligation to leave this review.
Bull Creek is a town filled with paranormal citizens and a scattering of human. Eve Harlow moved to Bull Creek to escape her abusive bullying ex Kyle. Arlin Landry is a tiger shifter who is a bouncer. He was sent in vacation to cool off after he let his tiger come out during work. So the came to stay at his brothers cabin in Bull Creek. This is Arlin and Eve’s mating story as well as the appearance of Kyle again. This story does refer back to characters and storylines in the first book Mates Magic.

Loving these paranormal books by Robbie Cox! They’re full of fierce, independent females and strong, protective men! This particular book was about Eve and Arlin, a human female running from an abusive relationship and a shifter who can’t keep his tiger under control.

MATE’S APPEAL is the second book in the Destined Mates series. While each book will stand on its own, it is better to read them all and in the order of release.
There is no slow start to the story. Instead, it is a quick dive into some bar action, which explains why Arlin is moving to Bull Creek. It never slows down from there! Put on your running shoes and jump in for the quick action and the quicker heart-stopping sigh-worthy love that is Eve and Landry meeting and marking one another. Who says a human can’t claim her tiger?
My favorite part of this book was Eve getting to put paid to her abusive ex, not with that knife she was carrying but with the claws and fur that came with the love she found with Arlin. Sigh!
I’m starting book three immediately! Deputy Lainie is next!
Note: While I received this book as a gifted ARC via Booksprout, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

Eve had a terrible history of domestic abuse and separated herself from others. Almost all of her friends are shifters making her feel weak and useless. Arlin is a shifter and has been temporarily exiled to Bull Creek just in time to help with Eve’s ex. Good read!

It wasn’t what I thought it was. I was expecting more from it. The hero was good , but the heroine I couldn’t relate to her. She was cold and shut off . Then it seem like she did a complete 180 after sex and fell in love with him. It was hard to stay focused and finish the book because I lost interest. And there were some grammatical errors throughout but not alot to distract from reading it.
This is my third story (I missed the first one) in this series by Robbie Cox and as usual I was hooked right from the start. I had difficulty putting it down once I started reading. It’s fast paced, easy to follow and gets you right in the middle of things. It has great humor, wit and plenty of that hot, sexy stuff for sure! Definitely one of those reading way past my bedtime books! This author is ruining my sleep schedule.
Bull Creek is a town where most everyone has a past, has something they want to escape or leave behind. No one ask why someone is there.
Eve Hartlow escaped a cruel abuser to start a new life. She found Bull Creek and the friendly and accepting people there, even though she is human. But, no matter how good her new life is, she still looks over her shoulder fearing her past will find her. She never goes anywhere without her knife on her belt.
Arlin can’t stand to see women mistreated and eventually finds himself losing control when a customer hits woman. As the bouncer, his job is to escort the guy out of the bar, but then when the guy threatens her, Arlin loses control and hits the guy. His boss strongly suggests a vacation to Bull Creek until he and his tiger cool down and get control again.
Arlin immediately gets caught up in Eve’s problems as her past catches up. Someone thoroughly trashed her cabin and his new neighbor is definitely frightened.
Eve will eventually discover she is a very strong woman and the man at her side only makes her stronger.

Eve moved (escaped to) to Bull Creek from an abusive relationship. Arlin was sent here for not having control over his tiger, especially when someone in the bar at Draven Falls hit a woman. He went thru that with his dad abusing his mother. So when they finally meet, yep she’s his mate. But her past finds her. Is she ready and will she allow her mate to help her? Even though this is a shifter story it may have triggers for some. Great read.
So this was the first time reading for this author and I enjoyed it and look forward to reading more from her.It has a good storyline and great characters to, plus it steamy hot to.So this was a great shifter read and I hope you all enjoy it to, happy reading.
