Do you know the muffin bears?Curvy baker Jennifer Drury moved to Port Jameson, Oregon because she was unlucky in love, so the last thing she expected to find was two hot, handsome lumberbear suitors on her first day on the job. Jennifer wants them — after all, her muffin needs stuffin’. The only problem is, Jevon and Rufus are rivals. Will these werebears learn to share their mate’s muffin top? … muffin top? And will Jennifer come up with a unique recipe worthy of taking first at the Port Jameson Bakeoff?
Jevon Cain is an all-American werebear and member of the Grizzlyfir Crew . He keeps as much distance from the stuck-up boys from the Hemlock Crew as he can. When he finds one of their lumberjacks blocking the way between him and his fated mate’s curvy cupcakes, he’s going to take his rival down. Rufus might be built like a redwood, but that’s no match for Jevon’s bear claws.
Rufus Steel never thought that his summer punishment working with the Hemlock Crew would lead him to his true love. That’s why he knows the connection he feels with Jennifer must be fated. The only problem is, some townie wants to take what’s rightfully his. Rufus hasn’t moved across the country to lose his fated mate to another man or another shifter, and he’s not about to go back home without her.

** spoiler alert ** Jennifer Drury knew in order to find love she needed a change. Jevon and Rufus are from different backgrounds and enemies. Fate has other plans. Will Jennifer accept both of the men? Will the men be able to put aside differences for their mate?
This was a mix of cute and steamy. I loved how Jennifer was determined to not give in till they figured themselves out despite what she was feeling. I liked that both men were different and were able to offer different sides to the relationship. Good read!
A really good bear shifter romance.
Oh! I know I’ve said how much I love bear shifter romances before and this is just more proof of why.
Jennifer has just transferred from the Texas branch of Bear Claw Bakery to the home office in Port Jameson, Oregon because she needed a change in her life. And boy, does she ever find it with Jevon and Rufus. These two bear shifter not only belong to different clans but are rivals too. But that doesn’t stop their attraction to Jennifer.
This is the first book in the new series called Freshly Baked Furry Tails and I can’t wait to read the rest.
I received a free copy of this book via the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I really like the different bear series. This one is starting with some especially sassy women and belligerent (towards each other) men. The author shows a quirky sense of humor. The characters were well written and engaging. The plot was quicky and the action fit the storyline. I look forward to the rest of the series.
Bear claw bakery – port Jameson
Jennifer Drury was unlucky at love in her home town of fallowedirt Texas so she moved to port Jameson as found a place to on Drury lane while she made muffins at the bear claw bakery. So that made her the muffin lady on from Drury lane lol.
The two guys on the story are Rufus he is a rich bear shifter that is working for the hemlock crew. The other one is Jevon he is a bear shifter too and works for Grizzly fir . Hemlock and Grizzly fir don’t get along so both guys don’t get along . That’s were the fun starts. Your going to have to read for yourself to see what happens. But its a fun light hearted story great for siting back and relaxing with. Don’t miss it.
Voluntarily reviewed a copy and I will enjoyed it.
3.5 Stars
This was a good fast read. I love books with baking so this one was right up my alley. Plus you can’t go wrong with bear shifters. I liked the rivalry between Jevon and Rufus trying to win the attention of Jennifer. It made for some funny moments. Though they’re all in for a surprise for what fate has in store for them. There is a romantic moment with a picnic under the stars that is just perfect. Can’t wait for more from this series.
The first book in the Freshly Baked Furry Tails series is a well written story that had me smiling a lot a book I enjoyed reading. I will be looking for the next book. I received a copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
I loved this book and could not put it down when I started. You will laugh at the antics of the characters and wonder what will happen next to them. I cannot wait to see where these stories are going to go.
Jevon and Rufus are lumberjack bear shifters who are both interested in the new woman in town, Jennifer. This is the story of bear rivals .
While I found Jennifer’s character well fleshed out, the shifters were not. Most of the time they are fighting , so I didn’t get much of their characters.
I really enjoy Ms. Sylvan’s books so was a little disappointed.
However if you don’t know any of her books, this is one that will give you a sense of her writing.
Please remember that this is just my thinking, you may find a wonderful author.
I am a real fan of the Bear Claw Bakery and Fallowdirt, Texas stories. That being said, this was not one of my favorites. I could not connect with Jennifer at all. Moving from Fallowdirt and having mated friends there, she should have been aware of shifters and not clueless about how things work. After a minor disagreement between her two suitors, she goes off the rails and throws a temper tantrum. I did appreciate her kindness and open mindedness with her main competitor. I still look forward to other stories by Ms. Sylvan. I requested an advanced reader copy and am under no obligation to leave this review.
Jennifer Drury was hired at at the Near Claw Bakery in Port Jameson and instructed by the manager Patricia to come up with a recipe for the muffin cone acct in a couple of weeks she needed berries but not regular berries but Port Jameson marionberries which were juicer than blackberries but the berries from the store were entirety to juicy which turned the muffins mushy she meets Rufus from the Hemlock lumber jack crew and Jevon from the Grizzlyfir crew decided they both wanted to spend time with Jennifer not realizing the all had something in common but found out soon enough and helped Jennifer get the berries for the pies it seemed that the berries that were growing while on Rufus’s crew’s land were perfect and worked out perfect in the muffins. Seems that they all seem to get along after the big bakery fiasco. The guys realized that Jennifer meant something special to them both and then everything betweem Bevin and Rufus changed for the better. But when time came for the contest there weren’t any berries but Jennifer was Smart enough to have a trick or two under her sleeve. Lots of laughs. Good characters, romance and fun. Adult content. I was given a copy as a gift from author without obligation. I provided an honest review
Bear Claw bakery is always fun. Full of shifters and steam as she now is working the Muffin Man into a unique story. Jennifer is working at the bakery and must find a good muffin recipe for a contest. Throw in two bear shifters makes things even more interesting. Lots of humor as Jevon and Rufus both pursue Jennifer. Loved it!
Very solid 4 stars. This little nugget is cute and entertaining with a health dose of adult content. The story of Jennifer and the bears is laugh out loud funny at times and makes me itch for a walk through the woods on the hunt for Marionberries. A sweet little escape from life, this read will lighten your mood and brighten your day. I can’t wait for more bear tales.
My Thoughts – 5 out of 5 Unicorns – I loved it!!!
***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! Yes, I got a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!! And I have bought my own copy as I do most of Sable’s books!
This is the 1st book in this new series, but it is still in the same awesome bear-tastic world, and we are back in Port Jameson! This is for adults only due to the steamy content involving this trio of mates!
This story involves another baker at Bear Claw Bakery which is to be expected because the way to a bear’s heart is through his stomach. Jennifer comes for Fallowedirt which should be familiar if you love Sable’s work. She wasn’t having any luck with love, so she decided a change of scenery was needed. She is now the muffin woman at the bakery! She has a contest to win for the bakery. She meets two werebears who are from different lumber camps that have beefs with each other. This was a fun story of her adventure in werebears, and it starts very humorously! It also has some familiar bears make an appearance too! I can’t wait to see what happens next!
I highly recommend to any bear shifter fans who love Port Jameson bears and lumberjacks in plaid!!
Great story line and characters, Awesome !! Loved this book. The storyline was so interesting that it had me turning pages in anticipation of where it would lead . I was very intrigued with the characters in the story. Simply awesome . Definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a great read. I would recommend to others. Worth the read and the money!
“I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.”
Very enjoyable and entertaining read. Not much in the drama department but that didn’t take away from the story. It had plenty of laughable moment and steamy romance to keep me hooked from beginning to end. So looking forward to seeing what else is in store for this series. Overall a good read and a great start for a new series. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.
Jennifer Drury had her hands full. Two bear shifters who don’t get along and a bake-off to win. Could they work together and win more than a prize? Ready to judge by the appearances, I liked the teaching Jennifer, Rufus and Jevon received. Good how Jevon and Rufus helped Jennifer with her self-confidence and self-esteem. A funny, hot and entertaining story where the muffin men and the curvy and sassy baker worked around the marionberries.
A sweet story. I received an ARC copy of this book and I chose to review it. This is a quick easy read. I enjoyed the book but it isn’t my favorite Sable Sylvan book. I do encourage you to give this one a chance. I am looking forward to seeing how this series progresses. I do enjoy Sable Sylvan books!!!!
Jennifer Drury needed a new beginning and moved to Port Jameson, Oregon to be a baker at the Bear Claw Bakery. Having been known for her amazing muffins, she is given the task of coming up with the best muffin she had ever made to enter into the town bake off.
Jevon Cain and Rufus Steel are from rival Lumberjack camps and couldn’t be more opposite if they tried but are forced to work together after they fought and destroyed the bakery trying to get Jennifer’s attention.
This is a great story with a sassy heroine who doesn’t take shizz from anyone, especially from lumberjacks.
You want to know this muffin woman
Jennifer, the muffin woman of Bearclaw Bakery, encounters Jevon and Rufus, werebear lumberjacks, when they visit the bakery in her first day of work. As the story progresses shenanigans ensue, bake-off recipes are changed under fire and to stud muffins must learn to get along. Sable Sylvan has adapted the muffin man nursery rhyme into a nice addition to her Bear Claw Bakery world. I am looking forward to what she has planned next.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
