From Ripped follows Ruined, a relationship that blossoms out of chance, devastation, and loss. Within Ruined, we get to follow Hunter on his continued journey to stardom, his ever-present bevy of babes, and the torment that follows his panic at learning he is going to be a father to a baby he does not want. All his life he had to watch the struggles of growing up with a child with autism. His sister’s severe case has caused him to fear ever being a parent, and the heartbreak that comes along with commitment ensures he will never trust someone with his heart again. But then there’s Kara…
Kara is best friends with Gemma and has a somewhat frenemy relationship with Hunter. Until one night of fun turns into the miracle she thought she would never have. Carrying her own baby is all she has ever wanted, but that baby doesn’t come with any automatic attachments to the father. It brings devastation, hope, love, loss, torment, and realizations that love can be found in the most unlikely places between the most unassuming people.
This book triggered me in so many ways. I have a sister on the autism spectrum and I found myself screaming out Hunter that all children are gifts, no matter the severity of any disability. Watching his feelings develop and change and experiencing their piercing pain also brought on the tears (YOU ARE WARNED…TISSUES ARE NEEDED). Kara’s strength and determination to stand on her own are both awe-inspiring and add to her character’s depth.
Tania Joyce brings another beautiful romance full of growth, dreams, bonding, and faith in love. A page-turner for sure that will leave you smiling, sated, sad, and satisfied.

The title of this book is exactly what the story did to me. Its so emotional and powerful. I was sat in the early hours crying when the story went in a direction I didn’t expect. This isn’t your typical rock star romance but is so much better. This author is talented and I wouldn’t hesitate to pick up any of her other books. I’m so glad I read this book!

This is an amazing addition to the “Everhide Rockstar Romance” series. It is a very interesting, well-written page-turner romance that will hold your interest until the very end. The plot is well-developed, consistent, realistic and very interesting. This story will take you on a roller coaster of heart wrenching emotions, growing up, loss, grief, ups and downs, and other drama. The characters Kara and Hunter balance each other perfectly – though it took them a while to figure it out. The chemistry between them is potent and undeniable. A truly amazing series and I look forward to the next book.

Ruined is truly a gut-wrenching read that will take you on an emotional rollercoaster whilst keeping you turning those pages. The myriad of emotions were huge during this tale of loss and love between rockstar Hunter and Kara. Their story and journey is a not a easy one, and covers some truly harrowing topics. This book was so beautifully written for the topics that it deals with. Tania Joyce nearly ruined me with this one. At one point, I was so overcome with emotion, I actually had to stop reading. This is a such a tear-jerking story but absolutely worth it in the end. The turmoil that both Hunter and Kara suffer tugged at my heart strings, I hurt right along with them. I loved every page of this book.
This is a tremendous story of love, second chances and passion. In a heart wrenching way, the story explores very difficult and real life situations that push these characters to their every limit. Each of them dealt with their own version of hell and whilst each had their own mindsets and reservations, they come to the conclusion that they are better together than apart. An absolutely fantastic story by Tania Joyce. I am looking forward to the next story in this series.

Kara and Hunter’s story is raw, emotional, and heart-wrenching. It’s a story of loss and love, and it takes some serious pain and heartbreak for these two to make it to their HEA. Plenty of tears and smiles in this rock-star romance with heart.

Ruined by Tania Joyce is a rockstar romance with twists and turns that will keep you entertained from start to finish. Gemma, Kyle and Hunter are Everhide, a very talented rock-band with an edge. Kara, Gemma’s best friend, is a stylist and a clothing designer. The company that she works for styles Everhide. Kara used to love her job until her boss, who was also her fiance and owner of the company, found someone else and ended their engagement. The night of Gemma and Kyle’s engagement party brought Hunter and Kara together, and from then on their lives were never the same.
This was truly an emotional read, so you may want to keep some tissues handy. Kara’s reproductive health issues were beyond sad, so when she found out she was pregnant, I was just as elated as she was. Kara and Kyle’s relationship was complicated and raw, but they were able to work through their hardships in order to reach their forever together. Their sexy times were hot. Ms. Joyce tackles endometriosis and autism with grace, and expertly weaves these tangible issues into the story-line. Overall, Ruined is a well-written romance that you definitely want to add to your TBR list.

What a mix of joy and tears! Loved this story! Kara was just trying to cope with the news that she was never going to have a baby of her own, when one night changed that possibility. Hunter never wanted a baby until he saw his baby on ultrasound and then that was all he could think about. Life throws you curves and you learn to heal through the pain. This is a great series, but can be read as stand alone books. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This story is different because it’s not all happiness but there is a happy ending. Hunter is a gorgeous rockstar and he loves the lifestyle and the ladies. When his friend Kara who he’s always joking with looks sad and unhappy he wants to cheer her up with some no strings sex. She’s very upset because her boyfriend dumped her and she’s also upset that she’s going to need surgery. This surgery is going to change her life. So yeah she goes for it and this changes things for both of them, it’s not good. I don’t want to give the story away because it’s really good. Both Hunter and Kara go through a lot, it’s painful, it’s hot, it’s romantic. I loved this story and recommend it highly. Can’t wait to read the rest of this series.

This book is book 2 in the Everhide Rockstar Romance series and in my opinion is better than book 1! Hunter is the charismatic one of the band trio who thrives on attention and who has women falling at his feet. This story is different from the typical “girl meets rockstar and they fall in love,” in fact a mutually agreed upon one night stand leads them down a path of many emotions including regret, remorse, anger, fear, devastation, loss, heartbreak, contentment and finally love. It’s definitely a great read! Keep your tissues handy!

The second story in this series, which can be read as a standalone, was a little hard for me to enjoy. This is why it took me so long to read it. However, I did finish it finally, and maybe I’ll try to go back and re-read it later. It was a good story, and well written, so maybe it’s just me.
Please note that I did receive an ARC of this book, and the opinions expressed in this review are my own.
