When Marrok, the Demon King of Sundari, meets his fated mate in the dreamworld, he ignores the pull of the saatus bond. He has no desire to make a life with the female, not with his past being what it is. Unable to deny the bond for long, Marrok accepts his demon spirit’s need for its mate. He plans to use their connection to prevent him from turning rogue, while keeping his heart safely buried … buried in the past.
Since the age of six, Evelyn has been dreaming of the Demon King. When she starts having visions of his past, old betrayals are brought to light, including an ancient brotherhood who has been working against the pair for decades. Knowing Marrok may never love her in the way she loves him, Evelyn chooses to fight for their future anyway. She’ll protect everyone she loves from the insidious group—or die trying.
***The Demon King’s Destiny is the third book in the Fate of Imperium Series. Each book is the story of a different king and his fated mate. While the three books do not have to be read in order, it is highly recommended.

Such a great ending to an awesome trilogy. I have enjoyed reading all 3 sisters 🙂
This story follows the middle daughter of Edward, Evelyn. She meets her mate in the dream world (King of Demons). Battling memories, current enemies, and their own relationship has made for yet another fabulous read by this author. I am intrigued and hoping the author writes some of the other characters stories ( particularly what the Goddess has planned for Edward) this book ended on a good, solid point, but also left enough room for more if the author chooses. I highly suggest !
In this final installment of the Imperium series, daughter Evelyn meets her mate, the King of the Demons. Interestingly, this book takes place mostly in the dream world. Evelyn first sees her intended mate in her dreams when she’s just a small child. She doesn’t see him often in her dreams after that until she is an adult. The king, Marrok, needs to wait to claim her until things are safer in his land. Groups of demons have gone rogue, becoming more dangerous. Some change in their quest for power while others have it thrust upon them due to old age or infirmity. Will Marrok gain control over his land so he can bring his mate home? What about the cause of other mysterious, ruinous events happening throughout the four kingdoms of Imperium?
This book had the common issues with grammar, punctuation, and usage. In particular, commas seem to be an issue, with the required one missing between independent clauses in a compound sentence. But the story was otherwise well written, so I was not overly distracted.
This world of the four kingdoms of Imperium is very complex and well imagined. The author did a fantastic job of worldbuilding over the course of the three books, and each sister was very much an individual and had a unique mate/story that suited her. I think each story could be read as a standalone, but reading each in sequence enriches understanding because it allows you to comprehend the interweaving elements of the books. If you enjoy steamy paranormal romance with a little bit of humor and danger, you will enjoy this series.
This was by far my favorite in the set. I’m absolutely in love with Evie and Marrok, they are both bad ass, strong characters but also so incredibly sweet and romantic. This was a great conclusion to the mess of bad guys, kidnapings, and murders they have endured. And what a wonderful way things came together. I love C.A. Worley’s writing and very much look forward to looking up her other works to read! This was an amazing adventure, a wild roller coaster ride of emotions and I loved being transported to this beautiful world.
5 stars are not enough for this great gem!
C.A. Worley set the so bar so high with the first in this series, then sailed right over it with the second and flew waaay higher with this book. I was on emotional overload while reading this and immersing myself yet again in the enchanting world she created!
Her style of writing has the words flowing so smoothly across the page creating such fantastic & deep characters as well as interesting story-lines that would hit anyone with all the feels. She then takes it up a notch with the way she brings the book to life despite it being so out of the realm of reality with the magic & supernatural.
Shifters are generally my favorite supernatural being while demons are my least liked but I came to love Marrok… The sizzling chemistry between him and Evelyn was off the charts despite that fact that most of it was in the dreamworld.
C.A. Worley worked her magic once again in this third book of the Imperium series. I cannot recommend this series enough if you haven’t read it yet What are you waiting for!?
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
