I’ve fallen in love with the Collins family and Fergus and Aubrey are great additions. Aubrey was a child star, who was betrayed by everyone who should have protected her. Now as an adult, she is living on the edge with a stalker being part of her troubles. Fergus is hired by her record company to be her bodyguard. Recognizing her pain, he doesn’t let her close herself off to him or push him away. I loved the suspenseful build-up trying to guess who the stalker is until he is finally revealed when Aubrey’s life is in danger. It was also great to see the Collins clan rally around Aubrey to show her what it really means to be a family. Another great read in the series.

I look forward to reading each new book in the Wilder Irish series and July Flames is another wonderful addition to the series. This book is about Fergus Collins. He is the son of Killian/Justin/Lily from the original Wild Irish series. Fergus is a very hot former military man who is now a bodyguard for singer Aubrey Summers. I love the relationship between the two of them. Fergus is the ultimate man; hot, sweet, and protective of the woman he loves. Their relationship grows throughout the book as Fergus works to save Aubrey from a stalker. July Flames is a very hot book – pun intended!!!!!
July Flames is book seven of the Wilder Irish series. Basically, the book can be enjoyed as a standalone read, but there are many recurring characters (which I enjoy very much). As this is such a great series, I recommend start reading from the beginning. There is a lot of suspense and heart melting romance.
July Flames is about Aubrey and Fergus. Fergus is hired to protect Aubrey, but Aubrey turns out to be real brat. There is a lot of tension between these two and when they finally succumb to each other’s desire, it is combustive. Frankly, I did not like Aubrey that much, she was too abrasive for my tastes at times. But I did love Fergus to pieces so this was a book I loved to read.
July Flames is exactly what I needed. The sassy, stubborn closed off diva and her hotter than flames bodyguard really light up these pages. Mari Carr has given us a larger than life family in the Collins Clan. I feel like this newbie needs the flowchart blown up and put on her wall.
July Flames is actually the second book of this series that I’ve had the pleasure of reading. And though he gets older, Pop Pop is still my favorite. The patriarch of an incredible clan, Pop Pop, is both myth/legend and cornerstone of these novels. He’s also a flirt. (Winks in Pop Pop’s direction) As the rock for the expanding family, he is always present in some form or another. In this case, he is a guide force for Fergus.
Fergus, sigh…
Fergus is gorgeous. He is sweet, caring, and as former military you know he’s in incredible shape. He’s a bad ass but he’s quiet and soul searching. He can look through a person’s shields.
Thank God for that skill or he’d be dead fresh off the start of this new job! The “diva” in question, Aubrey, is everything he never knew he needed. She is everything he never wanted. But she is everything to him…and apparently, not him alone.
With her crazy life causing stress and “accidents”, Fergus will have his hands full. Not to mention his mind swirling with everything he can’t have…
July Flames is part suspense and a whole lotta love.
After tiring of his career in the army, Fergus Collins returns home to Baltimore to set up a security company with his cousin. When he’s approached by another cousin with an opportunity to earn an obscene amount of money for a six week bodyguarding job, he can’t turn it down. But when he meets the woman he’s protecting, a pop star diva, he wonders just how hard earned the money will actually be.
Aubrey Sommers has been taken advantage of her entire life and betrayed by those she thought she could trust so now she plays the part of the spoiled pop star to keep people away. Even so, she’s drawn to her new bodyguard and when it becomes apparent that she has a stalker, Fergus may finally be able to prove to her that some people are trustworthy.
This one was short, sweet, and steamy. I figured out who the stalker was fairly early on but that didn’t keep me from enjoying the story.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
July Flames is the next book in a series by Mari Carr.
Fergus has returned from war and ended his military service. He has started a private security firm with a few of his cousins. Their first case comes quickly and it is providing protection to a pop-star.
Aubrey is closed up and doesn’t let anyone get close. She trusts no one after her momager betrayed her. Now she is getting flowers with threatening notes attached and people around her are getting hurt. When Fergus comes along, she can’t get rid of him, like she has with everyone else but she isn’t going to make it easy for him.
Fergus had no clue who Aubrey was before he met her. She doesn’t make protecting her easy but he knows that she had been hurt before.
What will happen when the two of them are forced together by circumstances?
Mari Carr is a great writer. Her books mix the love of a close Irish family with a side of steamy. She’s an automatic buy for me.

Fergus Collins is a recently returned Vet beginning a new career in private security. He takes a job as bodyguard to a child star turned pop star. He expects a diva and he gets one. Aubrey has been in showbiz all her life, been betrayed by those she should be able to trust and now keeps everyone at a distance. She has no interest in being guarded and resents Fergus but Fergus is strong, steady and true. As Fergus stands guard he slowly wins Aubrey’s trust and together they create some flames.
I enjoyed this addition to the Wild Irish series. These characters were complex, multifaceted and engaging. I recommend this book and the others in this series. Mari Carr is a talented and delightful storyteller. I can’t wait for the next addition.

A phenomenal pop star/ex-military/bodyguard romance story filled with drama, betrayal, suspense, mystery, off-the-charts chemistry, light BDSM, plenty of feels, family, love, and an amazing epilogue.
I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.
Mari Carr has done it again! She has given us another wonderful, sexy, suspenseful story about the Collins family. This Wilder Irish book is about Fergus, next generation Collins, out of the military , and starting a security firm with his cousin Finn. Their first client, before they really open, is rock princess Aubrey Summers, former young teen actress. Fergus is to act as bodyguard, she has gone through so many! Aubrey has a stalker who seems to hurt those around her if they seem to hurt her. But Aubrey is a real witch to her bodyguards, firing them as quickly as possible. But the record label hired Fergus AND she doesn’t intimidate him as she will soon find out! Watch sparks fly and fires ignite! Captivating, sensual story as only Mari Carr can write!I

Fergus is not worried in any shape or format about the Collins curse. He isn’t anticipating it, he isn’t running from it, he just doesn’t give it any thought. Maybe it is because he was away so long? Maybe it was because he missed his family so much? Maybe because as the only child with three loving parents, he knew love was not to be feared? Who knows, but when it struck him, he didn’t even think about it, he knew Aubrey was his, and that was that!
Now Aubrey, she needed love, she needed trust, and she absolutely need the Collins clan to make her part of their family. But with a target on her, from everyone it seems, and a stalker hurting everyone who even is a little nice to her, she has a bit to go to get her happiness
An excellent romantic suspense, with some sweet Collins shenanigans, and a dominant bodyguard falling for his charge, a former child star turned grown up star, this book had me engrossed in it from the first page!
I cannot get enough of Mari Carr and the Collins family. Fergus and Aubrey are so great together. The patients Fergus has with Aubrey is what we have come to expect from the Collins men, but Fergus has kicked the bar up a notch or two. I can’t wait for August.

Mari Carr never misses a beat. I love her work so much.
Whoa. Talk about flames!
July Flames by Mari Carr is the seventh in the Wilder Irish series, the next generation of Collinses (the original family’s stories are told in the Wild Irish series) to flourish under the loving attention of Pop Pop aka Pat Collins, owner of Pat’s Pub in Baltimore.
July Flames is about Fergus Collins, son of Lily, Killian, and Justin. He’s an ex-military man who’s started his own security company when his cousin asks a favor. Act as bodyguard to Aubrey Summers, former child TV star who’s having a breakout season as a pop singer. Fergus reluctantly agrees, and as he gets to know the prickly Aubrey, realizes she’s at all the diva she pretends to be.
Aubrey’s had too many losses and betrayals in her life to be open to making herself vulnerable to anyone again, much less this irritating, overbearing man who insists on protecting her, even when she’s not sure there’s much to worry over.
Mari Carr writes an emotionally charged, deliciously satisfying story of these two strong people coming to realize the value of letting someone else in. Because when someone else truly has your back, you can actually feel safe. Ms Carr’s tale reinforces the strength in love and family, and July Flames is a beautiful read for the keeper shelf.
This book was absolutely phenomenal! Mystery and intrigue, love and family lead to a book that had me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end! I can’t get enough of the Collins clan, and this book just proves why!
Fergus is home from the military, beginning a new life (and business) with his cousin. His first assignment as a bodyguard leads to him going on the road with a pop princess! Cold, rude, and unapproachable, she does her best to run him off. But Fergus is determined enough to stick it out, keeping her safe from a crazy stalker!
Aubrey has had an amazing career, but a less than stellar home life. Despite her advantageous upbringing as a TV star, she has no trust in anyone, after being let down, again and again, by those that she should have been able to trust.
I wasn’t sure that Aubrey was going to be able to set aside her mistrust long enough to be able to open up to Fergus. I wasn’t sure Fergus was going to be able to look past the spoiled pop princess persona that Aubrey was using to protect herself. But this is a book about the Collins family. Of course there has to be a HEA! This book was everything that I love about this author, and so much more. And the ending! Well, you will just have to read the book, but I will say I had a happy tear in my eye!
OMG!! I Loved this Book!!
Aubrey has fired several bodyguards and does not want another, but now she has no choice. Her record label hires Fergus Collins, and boy does she make it known that the “Rottweiler” is not wanted. So Fergus, while trying to protect this former pop star, not only needs to protect her, but must find out who the stalker is fast because the threat now includes him.
This book is Fantastic!! I could picture them while reading and I just could not put it down. Praise for Mari Carr on this new addition to her “Wilder Book” series.
HOW DOES SHE DO IT EACH AND EVERY TIME! (but I love it) Every story is better than the next. I freaking love this entire family! It’s so steamy hot with the BDSM but emotional. Ughh when he calls her Butterfly just gets me and is it weird to say my favorite parts of these “Wilder” books are Pop Pops pictures at the end….yes bring on some tears (happy) again. I love that everyone has each others backs, that she gets the family she deserves and that Fergus also finds some peace after being in the military for so long. I love his Mom, Dad and Daddy and that his mom takes Aubrey under her wing! I really can’t wait for what I think is coming soon (Miguel and Finn??) yes this is a standalone and amazing on its own but the entire “world” is sweeter if you go back and start with the parents and continue with the “Wilder” stories! Love you Mari! Plus I also love how she works the title into the book somehow!
Fergus amd Aubrey are absolutely wonderful together. Fergus is a tough, in charge alpha male who has been hired to protect a former teen pop star. Aubrey has been taken advantage of her entire life and doesn’t make it easy when Fergus when the two are introduced. Fergus has found away to break down Aubrey’s tough girl exterior to the softer, vulnerable girl hiding away. Fergus takes his job seriously but he is not strong enough for the Collins curse. Fergus show Aubrey that it is ok to give her trust to him and his family. The way her protects her has you swooning. Their chemistry is off of the chart. I loved how Fergus showed Aubrey what having a family is all about. I never tire of the Collins Clan.
Seventh book in the Wilder Irish series, this series is a spin-off of the Wild Irish series. Can be read and enjoyed as stand-alone, told in dual POV with HEA. The Collins curse strikes again! This big awesome family owns and operates a pub, so the secondary characters are throughout the series. Fergus is newly out of the service and just opened a security company with his cousin. His first job is acting as a bodyguard to former child star and now solo artist Aubrey on her concert tour. Aubrey has a stalker and does not trust anyone after her upbringing. Fergus’s dominate personality has Aubrey desiring to give up control to him. I love how the Collins clan is so loving and accepting and quick to include Aubrey into their family! Light BDSM fun!!
Fergus learned a lot from his Pop-pops. Now, after a nine year stint in the Army, he’s setting up shop as a bodyguard.
His first client is a tv / pop star.
Aubrey Summers.
Drama follows her around and now she has an unwanted admirer. Her mother is like the stepmother in Snow White.
Will she find a true family with Fergus?
