How had I missed this book by Colette, I do not know, but wow I’ve read it now and loved it.
Great narration by Piers.
Would highly recommend this book.
I Wished for You was the first book that I have picked up by Colette Davison. I was not disappointed and will be reading more from this author. What can go wrong when Seb kisses his best friends and they kiss him back? For as long as they can remember it has been Sebastian, Matt and Conner against the world, but one kiss changes the way that they feel about each other and a love that has always been there. Can they work together to find their happily ever after? This book was a slow burn that was filled with emotions and patience for all three.
When Seb gets dumped by his boyfriend, his two best friends Connor and Matt are there to pick up the pieces. But when something happens on their camping adventure, the three are left with unanswered questions and deeper feelings for each other. Can you really fall in love with your best friends? Or do you hide it away so you do not ruin the friendship? Watching these three navigate through the murky waters of emotions was terrific. The reader can feel the anguish, the guilt and ultimate connection. With a highly emotional journey for all involved this was a great read.
I’ve READ one other of Ms Davison books, and I didn’t much like that book but this was a whole different kettle of fish!
Seb, Connor and Matt grew up together and still, years later, still pend a lot of time together. They know each other, in and out. When Seb is dumped after 5 years, he suggests a camping trip. In November. They get drunk and Seb has a light bulb moment and realises just WHAT he really feels for his two best friends and kisses them both. Seb knows he wants more with Matt and Connor, but they have to decide if it’s something they want.
I really REALLY enjoyed this!
Seb is the only gay guy, Matt is straight and Connor is. . .Connor. Thoses kisses open a whole can of worms for all three of them, but I loved the way Matt and Connor talked to each other, before they decided to go all in, the three of them. LOVED that Connor had lusted after Seb and Matt for so long, and they didn’t really know!
All three guys have a say, so we get it all from them. Seb’s initiating those kisses. Connor’s unwillingness to move things along, although WHY is surprising. Matt dawning realisation that he might not be as straight as he thought.
Piers Ryman narrates.
This is a new to me narrator and I tried to listen to another of his work, and something about THAT book didn’t work for me (NOT by this author!) This one, however, he nails it! He absolutely nails the voices of all three guys, they fit each man perfectly. He gets across all the emotions from the all, from Matt’s mother too, when she throws her hissy fit at everyone, and when it all goes down near the end.
His reading voice is deep and even, a very BRITISH accent, that reading voice, but then again, the book is set in England. There is a slight accent to that reading voice but I couldn’t place it. It didn’t bother me, but I can see that some people might not like it.
Me, though, I LOVED it. So, one for me to keep an eye on, I reckon!
5 stars for the book
5 stars for the narration

An amazing story of three long time friends delving into a romantic… and scorching hot relationship. I loved how the author was able to clearly differentiate between the characters and the multiple point of view approach enables the reader to have an insight into the different emotions and struggles.
A really great book!
Fabulously brilliant story and audiobook performance
I just don’t know what to say about this story. I have not been moved like this in a long time and I sincerely want to convey how clever the writing is.
The MCs are three really different men with different hang ups and issues and they are childhood friends who become lovers. And, they aren’t just three guys, one is gay, one is gay for you and the other is Demi and they are in a poly relationship and lord have mercy is this complicated and hot!
Argh! As if they can’t get any more amazing, they all wish on stars for each other. Gah! I love that this is sweet but not saccharine and can I say the audio performance just makes it even more outstanding? I have been living under a rock and I’m grateful to crawl out and find not just a new fave author, but a new narrator cuz hot damn! This book is perfect.
“I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.”
I loved this super cute MMM, best friends to lover story!
Seb, Matt and Connor have been best friends for most of their lives. One drunken camping night sets in motion a chance and stirs feelings that none of them had ever considered before, what with Matt considering himself straight and Seb being in a long-term relationship. But once the feelings surface, the three friends have to find out a way to accept them and act on them without destroying their friendship.
I loved Matt’s way of being strong in his discovery and in his love for his friends turned to lovers; I loved Connor’s shyness and his innate desire to take care of the other two and Seb’s willingness to wait and guide them through their acceptance and sexual discovery.
This was the first book from Colette Davison I read and I loved it; also the narrator (Piers Ryman) was new to me, but I loved his voice!
The saying when God closes a door he opens a window, was at least for Seb so true. When he was blindsided from being dumped by his boyfriend, he called on his childhood buddies Matt and Connor to help him make it through it and something happend so unexpectly they never saw it coming. So begins an adventure into a relationship that has all the necessary parts to become a love that will late a lifetime. Loved this book it was exciting, entertaining and just such an interesting story you just had to finish it, really enjoyed it.
I Wished For You by Colette Davison. This is Seb, Matt, and Connor’s story.
This is a sweet friendship to lovers read. Seb, Matt, and Connor have been friends for a long time. In trying to cheer Seb up after his breakup these three find themselves in a relationship that they have never thought about. I enjoyed the characters and their journey to find love and happiness with each other.
FYI, contains mature content. This is a MMM romance. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

An amazing love story of friendship, trust, and acceptance! I loved it!!
From the start the characters in this story where totally loveable. Colette’s writing style flowed effortlessly between the three main characters, their varying points of view, thoughts and emotions.
This story follows life-long best friends; Seb, Matt and Connor and their surprising shift from friendship to lovers. I found this story believable and enjoyed each character’s realisation of their true feelings towards each other. I loved Seb’s cheekiness, Matt’s acceptance of his feelings and Connor’s innocence. Together these men make a wonderful throuple and hot as can be! I was enamoured by these three and wish there was more of them! A truly wonderful work by Colette and I look forward to reading many more stories from her!!

Seb, Matt, and Connor were great friends as this story started. They would do anything for each other. When they went camping at Seb’s request to help him get over being dumped by his longtime partner, things got complicated. Seb kissed his friends and brought forth feelings in all of them that were decidedly more than friendly.
I loved this book and these three men. Considering that Matt had always considered himself straight, and Connor had fears about starting a relationship at all, this was a relatively low-angst story. The hopes and fears each of the guys had seemed very realistic to me, and I loved the way they supported each other completely as lovers, just as they had when they were just friends. There were sweet conversations between Matt, Seb, and Connor; and there were very sexy moments as well. I enjoyed this book thoroughly, and I happily recommend it to other fans of friends to lovers romance.
I Wished For You by Colette Davison is a sweet story about three best friends who make wishes one night on a camping trip and discover that sometimes wishes do come true, even if it’s not in the way they imagined. A drunken kiss shared, changes their relationship, but there are secrets that risk the happiness they could have together.
Matt, Seb and Connor are great characters. I fell in love with them and their story gave me the feels. I love throuple and especially when they are that perfect mix of best friend sweet and super hot sexy. Definitely a satisfying read.
I received an advanced reader’s copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.
This book is truly beautifully written. The way Matt, Seb and Connor, don’t let the changes to their friendship truly freak them out, is absolutely breathtaking. Watching their relationship evolve, and grow was a joy. I loved every minute of it.
This might be the best friends-to-lovers story I’ve read. It’s possible that is enhanced by there being three of them instead of two, I am a sucker for a threesome, but I think it’s at least in part because this is a beautifully gentle (for the most part, no spoilers) development of a loving three-way relationship between Seb, Matt and Connor, all of whom I really liked as characters. The beginning hooks you in with Seb’s breakup and a great example of how close these three are as friends and how they are so used to looking after each other and being ‘us against the world’. We gradually uncover more of their personalities and back stories that makes them distinct and 3D characters. We get a little bit of additional characters – not much, it kinda genuinely is them and then the world. They’re kind to each other and their relationship development is sweet. The amazing ability they have (especially Matt) to pull up their big-boy pants and have the tough but important proper-adult conversations is borderline unrealistic, but actually could happen. Loved it. Recommended but not if you want angst. Or don’t like really well-written good sex. It’s good sex. Like, really good.
Received as an ARC. This is my honest review.
