This is a good read with characters that I liked. Skylar and Jessie clicked. He’s not your typical rock star. I’d have liked to have had a bit more connection to pull me in deeper. It’s a sweet, clean read.

Skyler and Jesse’s story was cute, an old love reconnection thru the “Pretendr App”, and…. well, no spoilers. Do read this book, absolutely has and HEA, one thing I love about the Pretendr App series is that each one is a stand-alone book, and if you want to know how this series started, then you should read The Billionaire’s Match: A Sweet Fake Relationship Romance (Pretendr Dating App Series Book 0).

ONE ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE!!!
Man, I have to say this is one interesting tale. A whirlwind of emotions and events that pulls those heartstrings. This is a fast paced, smooth flowing, page turning bombshell that grabs your attention from start to finish. The characters are realistic, well developed and believable with just enough flaws to relate. Their personalities are unique with qualities and traits that balance out perfectly. The scenes are so graphic and descriptive it paints a fantastic backdrop that really makes the storyline pop. The twists and turns, ups and downs, unexpected circumstances that really bring this roaring to life. Throw in all the drama, uncertainty and a little suspense you have an enjoyable experience. Blake did a remarkable job bringing this read together beautifully. Thanks Blake for sharing this awesome read with us.

The storyline was well written and the characters were so well detailed that I was totally engrossed in this story until the turn of the very last page!
A short well written sweet romance. Nice storyline and plot. The characters are likeable and well described. They develop nicely through the short story.
They have a nice chemistry and passion between them. It is a book in the series about the app Pretendr, where you can seek for a fake girl-/boyfriend. Skylar meets his high school sweetheart here and they have a sort of second chance. Sort of because they only want to pretend or do they? Can they tear the walls down that are around their hearts? Do they dare to be hurt again?
I liked the potential of the story very much. It caught me but I have some issues with it. Sometimes it felt like staccato. I felt like the author was just writing a list of things. There was no feelings in the story. Things happened fast and without deeper explanations. Very fast paced and rough at times. It did not flow that well as I had wished.
Enjoyable and entertaining read.
A nice sweet romance for readers of all ages
Jessie, the planner f a music for kids non-profit, and Skylar, a rockstar, sign up for Pretendr to gain a fake special someone to help them. As the story progresses surprises are in store, the past must be forgiven and a bright future is only possible if hard decisions are made. Blake Andrews’ Pretendr series is a nice sweet romance for readers of all ages.

This is a sweet and charming, very quick reading romance story. The main male character certainly did mature a lot once he started spending time again with the main female character. She was a very grounded person and helped him attain some semblance of stability in his life.
Nothing was wrong with this story per se but for my taste I found this tale to be quite bland.

The Rock Star’s Match by Blake Andrews is a short, sweet story about a workaholic woman, Jessie, who is being pressured into finding someone to date. Skylar is a Rock Star who has been told by his manager that he needs to “clean up his act” and find a girlfriend to help his image. They both make use of a new dating app for pretend dates, since neither of them really wants a real relationship.
This is cute story that will have you smiling. I enjoyed reading this book that was a gift. I always review every book that I read. I recommend this short, clean romance.

Take one rock star still sound the old ways and getting banned from hotels and one girl running a CLEF programme about music add in the pretendr app for those that don’t want a true romance and what you get is a twist that even I didn’t see coming. Will the bad boy rock star change his ways and will the woman tame him? I suppose the important question is can they have a HEA? A good story with some great characters.
The Rock Star’s Match is the latest book in the Pretenddr Dating App series. Skylar needs to clean up his act, but he does not want something real. He joins Pretendr and matches to Jessie, not realizing that she is his ex high school sweetheart. Of course sparks fly, but she lives in Cleveland and he lives in New York. Will they be able to resolve the geography? This is a quick, fun read that I read in one sitting.
Devin Sharpe, rock star Skylar Schultz’s manager, was upset at his behavior where he was messing with fireworks and could have been killed. The fans were also getting tired of his antics. The hotel had already banned him for setting off the fireworks in the lobby. It was time to settle down. His manager wanted him to get married and clean up his image.
Skylar didn’t want to marry just to settle – he wanted something real and didn’t have the time to find anyone. So he met with his friend, Dave, to ask some advice. Dave promptly told him to hire someone because no normal woman would want to date him knowing it was just to clean up his image! Skylar had to agree, so decided to use the Pretendr app to find a fake girlfriend. Skylar would need a false name, and Dave would Photoshop a picture from one of their old yearbooks. Skylar created his profile as ‘Bob Gibson’ and Dave sent him 3 pictures to include.
Jessie Monroe, an event coordinator, was in charge of a fundraising benefit for Children’s Learning and Enrichment Forum (CLEF) which specialized in programs for kids in cities all over the country. It was started by musicians and others in the arts who valued the importance of kids learning such skills. The Benefit would be held in the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame since many musicians, record producers, and the like were going to be in town anyway for the latest inductions. This would be a great opportunity.
But Jessie needed a date for the event and had no idea how to get one. Fortunately, the internet helped and she created an account on Pretendr. It matched her up to Bob Gibson. And when she checked out the photos, she recognized the boy she had dated in high school – Seth Schultz, whose nickname had been Skylar! It was obvious, from their chats, that he hadn’t recognized her yet. Would he still go along with the dating? Why did a guy like him need this app, she wondered, unless he was trying to fix his playboy rock star image? Maybe she should back out – pretending to date him after all they had actually been through could open up old wounds! Or maybe their history would make the dating actually more realistic?
This was a cute story and easy to read. The characters were both so likable! The story line was well-paced and comfortable. Grab your copy and enjoy this second chance romance!
