HEARTS DIVINE is the second book in bestselling author Catherine Wiltcher’s dark and thrilling Santiago Trilogy.“I’m totally blown away… An intense, dark and twisted story that will send you on a wild and crazy ride of emotions” – Beyond The Covers BlogEveThe FBI is forcing me apart from the man who haunts my dreams. The man who stole me, broke me and made me his forever. Dante Santiago. My … and made me his forever.
Dante Santiago.
My deepest, darkest secret.
I may be ignorant to the worst of his savagery, to the tortured history that has driven the heartless criminal to such extremes, but I know exactly how his body feels as it sinks slowly into mine – stretching, conquering, completing. I know every hard angle, every dark trail of hair; every smooth, olive-hued plane as he molds himself to me like second skin.
The man I will never ever betray.
Dante
Six months apart.
An eternity.
I swore an oath to stay away and keep her safe.
Together we wiped my past from the face of this earth but another rose up in his place. An enemy more deadly, more determined. One who will stop at nothing to destroy me.
Damn this half-life that I’m forced to endure without her.
I run the risk of exposing her if I return.
I will lose myself to this darkness if I refuse.

I love this one because it is so much more involved and there’s so much more happening then book one. I mean you need book one to let you know the situation and everything but this one….WOW. That is my first thought after listening to this. Oh sure I ran through a gambit of emotions from devastation to thrilled but WOW really encompasses the whole story.
If I had a complaint it would be Dante’s thinking how she would leave him if she knew the whole story. This is reiterated over and over but I think it comes down to trust of Eve. Can he trust her? Not to leave him? Not to stop loving him? With his secrets.
What a treat to listen to. The narration is wonderful.
Book 2 of the Santiago Trilogy
I listened to the audiobook version with TF Harding and Sarah Puckett.
This is only my third book by Catherine Wiltcher and I love her twisted books. Mafia action and romance that is stark yet beautiful in its execution and writing that is riveting.
This series has grasped me and I can’t let go! I want more now! There’s a major cliffhanger in here again. So much revealed yet so much more to unravel. Dante shouldn’t be someone that is a hero yet the more we hear of him I really think he’s changing, and I really believe it’s his love for Eve that is bringing him around.
TF Harding was brilliant with all of the masculine characters voices. He changes them and really brings them to life. I want more of Dante and Joseph. I really loved how emotional both of these big alpha men are with Eve. And Sarah Puckett is the ultimate professional. I really enjoyed her as Eve when she soft hearted and trying to change Dante for the better and really loved when she showed how brave and intelligent she was too! I also love Sarah’s accents. I could listen to her Russian all day long.
If you want a Mafia, suspenseful action filled series this is definitely the one for you.
Now please bring on the finale book soon!

Dark, haunting, compellingly, and perfect!
Dante Santiago, a man so haunted by his past that he can’t see the possibility of a future… Eve Miller, strong, smart, and beautiful, she’s the perfect future for Dante…. Getting him to see it? Well, that’s a work in progress. Hearts Divine is a very dark, deliciously hot, haunting, twisted romantic thriller that really packs a punch! I couldn’t wait to start it, and once I did, I could not stop listening until I finished it! I really could not have asked for more. The narration was fantastic. I love the characters. So well drawn with complete backstories! The dialogue is smooth, believable, and I love how Eve does not back down, does not shrink away from confrontation and stands so strong. I love seeing how the characters are changing, evolving and growing. I feel like I am getting to know them on a deeper level. I am absolutely loving this trilogy, I am so invested and I can’t wait for book three!
The thrills, mysteries, lies, betrayal continue in this story. It is dark, steamy, dangerous that kept me on the edge. Who to trust? A common enemy has the same objective. This is Dante and Eve love story. Its exciting, and thrilling
Sarah Puckett and T F Harding are excellent performers in this exciting mafia story.

**4.5 Stars**
Hearts Divine is book two in The Santiago Trilogy. It picks up where books one leaves off with Eve and Dante being separated and the FBI watching Eve constantly and questioning her regularly trying to get information regarding Dante. Book two is chock full of action, drama, manipulation and darkness. Eve sees the good in Dante and settles him on some level, but Dante contains to remain entrenched in the life he has always known, though some of his focus shifts in this book to more noble causes. Though Eve continues to remain loyal to him, his past catches up with him causing conflict and his need to push her away from him. This ultimately just leads to them both being apart, but utterly miserably.
I love dark and twisted reads….totally my thing! I listened to the audiobook version of this story, which was absolutely fantastic. The narrators did an amazing job bringing this story to life. Their voices truly brought out all the feels and emotions throughout the course of this story. Despite the dark feel of the story and Dante’s twisted past, I couldn’t help but truly like him and really root for him and Eve. They have some serious chemistry… I mean scorching, off the charts, burning the place down chemistry. I liked that although Dante was extremely alpha and domineering and possessive, I equally liked that Eve was strong and fierce. I think together they are perfection and I cannot wait to dive into the third part of the trilogy, but I know I will be so sad when it is over.
Hearts Divine by Catherine Wiltcher is a dark mafia romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Sarah Puckett and JF Harding. This is the second book in The Santiago Trilogy.
This is the third book of Catherine’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. I was pulled in from the first chapter and couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next. The chemistry between Eve and Dante was off the charts. Their relationship is messy but you can’t help but root for them. I really enjoyed getting Dante, Eve, and Joseph’s points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
The book ends on a cliffhanger but that wasn’t a surprise since it is part of a trilogy. I can’t wait for the next book in the series Hearts On Fire to be released on audio so I can get more of their story.
Sarah and JF did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you like dark romances, mafia romances, or romantic suspense.

This is the second book in The Santiago Trilogy, a dark Mafia Romance. Eve and Dante’s story continues where the first book left off. The storyline is breathtakingly captivating, suspenseful, and twisted. Dante, a criminal, is the perfect antihero, dark and enigmatic. Eve, a criminal investigative reporter, is smart, strong, and determined. Sarah Puckett and JF Harding did an amazing job with the narration. I can’t wait to listen to Hearts on Fire, the third book in this amazing trilogy! #AudiobookObsession #PinkFlamingoProductions
Brilliantly Plotted & Twisted! Awesome Story & Audible Listen
Hearts Divine
The Santiago Trilogy, Book 2
By: Catherine Wiltcher
Narrated by: JF Harding, Sarah Puckett
Catherine Wiltcher continues to blow me away with another exciting novel, the second in “The Santiago Trilogy”. This story picks up where the first book, “Hearts of Darkness” left off and I highly recommend starting the series from the beginning because it is beneficial to know their history and what brought to where they are at the start of this book. Eve Miller is back home dealing with a persistent FBI who just does not want to give it up. He wants information on Dante Santiago, but she has no intention to give in or betray him. Dante is dealing with the fallout and loss of his compound and is rebuilding and planning his revenge. He can not get Eve out of his head and Dante being Dante risks his mission just to get what he wants, Eve. He can not get Eve out of his head and Dante, being Dante, risks his mission just to get what he wants, Eve. Wow, this book takes you on one insane ride, both thrilling and emotional. The complexity of Dante’s character is amazing, and it is great to learn more about him as the layers peel away. Is there a heart under all those layers. The question is, is there a heart under all those layers? We learn more about Eve’s strength in this book; we see how brave she is too. She goes above and beyond for what she believes is the right thing to do. But in the end, it may wind up costing her someone who is very important to her. Wow, just wow, like the first book I found the story to be captivating from start to end. Once I started it, I did not want to put it down because I needed to know what was going to happen next. The story is brilliantly plotted with plenty of drama, angst, action, mystery, twists and turns, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and some hot romance. Catherine Wiltcher, thank you for another awesome story, I loved every minute of it and after that mind-blowing ending I am looking forward to what happens next.
And for the fabulous narration, Sarah Puckett and JF Harding continue to deliver an outstanding performance as they bring these characters and story to life. They have a complete understanding of the characters they are portraying, giving each a voice that is a perfect fit for that character’s persona, sounding believable in that role and just as I picture the character to sound. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they capture the character’s emotions and project them into their performance. These mega talented narrators are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another exceptional listen.

Hearts Divine is the second book in The Santiago Trilogy. This is the continuation of the saga of Dante Santiago and Eve Miller. It is full of excitement and passion. I can’t wait to read the next book.
Wow, is all I can say.. it was hot and sexy, then it had me in tears where I kinda hates Dante a bit then I forgave him, lol.. This book was so good
Book two of Dante Santiago in a Dark mafia trilogy. This is an off the charts action packed, unpredictable twisted book. I just couldn’t out it down from start to finish. the chemistry is of the scale hot leaving you needing a cold shower.
Dante Santiago has no limits he wouldn’t go to get his mi alma. He take what he wants when he wants but Eve is all for giving when it comes to Dante shes his light in his darkness.
By the end of book two i was jumping straight in to book three! Honestly this trilogy will not let you down i recommend it and its worth way more than the five stars i could only leave
Ugh, the suspense is going to give me heart attack!!! Hearts Divine is everything. It’s not an easy story to read. But Eve and Dante make it worth reading. Diving into Hearts on Fire now.
You’ll want to read these books in order. You don’t want to miss a single thing.
‘Rage, rage against the dying of the light.’ That’s what all of our recent arguments have been about. They’ve been my rage against the dying of my light. My sense of right and wrong, and all that is black and white in this world.
Book two takes us on a journey into a whole new underground world of sex trafficking and debauchery. So many powerful men just waiting to put a bullet in your forehead. Enemies become allies in the name of vengeance, the lines between good and evil become blurred. Those people who are supposedly working in the right side of the law come under scrutiny. The fat cats get fatter while lining their pockets with blood money.
Eve is under investigation by the FBI, agent Peters want blood, Dante’s blood to be specific. However Eve has her lips sealed tightly and hasn’t let anything slip in months. Since returning she has kept herself busy writing, but now she has exposed the person responsible for creating a Ponzi Scheme. The FBI have her constantly tailed even at a journalism awards night. Her senses have never let her down and she can feel he’s close, but she can’t see him. Once again she finds herself taken and kept at his home, but he’s changed. Eve can see his darkness is consuming him now.
Dante has been focused on locating and terminating the men responsible for his daughters death. He shows no mercy, he is brutal and makes no apology for ridding the world of men who steal, sell and use children and women. It has taken him a long time but he is getting closer to locating Sevastian the Russian ringleader. Eve is the only light in his life, she loves him, but he can’t return her feelings. Coming across intelligence that destroys him, whilst he questions the loyalty of those who are closest to him. Who can be trusted and how much will his actions cost him?
The continuation of Eve and Dante’s journey just keeps getting more fascinating. The supporting characters have more crucial roles and the storyline goes deeper. I’m utterly transfixed by this impressive series! I devoured this second book in the series and am now off to read the conclusion.
A-MAZ-ING!!!
I can’t get enough of Dante and Eve. Their story continues in this second book of the Santiago trilogy. And what a riveting story it is. Theirs is a dark, exhilarating tale that’s written beautifully. Catherine Wiltcher is going to captivate you from beginning to end, and leave you begging for more. I highly recommend this one.
Holy cow! This second book in this series takes you on an even wilder ride than the first! This takes up from where we left off with Eve on her own and the FBI constantly on her to give up Dante. But she will never betray the man she loves. So much has changed since she came back to Miami. Many things come to light that change the way she feels. Dante is lost without her, but knows he needs to stay away to keep her safe. But for how long? This story has so many twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout the entire book! I’m so in love with these characters! And the way this author describes the scenes, you can envision in your head exactly what the places and people look like. And the ending will keep you riveted! Looking forward to reading the third book to find out more about these incredible characters. This series is a definite must read!
Ditto to what all the other five starts have said but I want to add: the trilogy is all action; no filler. A lot of the time a second book in a trilogy feels like it could be removed to create a perfect duet, but in this case the trilogy is necessary to tell the story.
This series – just keeps getting better and better. The author makes this story come to life right in front of you and leaves you breathless and begging for more. She is a master at writing this dark, suspense and twisted tale. It is amazing how she can have all these different storylines going, and keep you engaged at the same time. Her work is a piece of art.
This leaves off where the last book ended. They have been separated for 6 months. They reunite and it sure is rocky. Dante isn’t the easiest person to get along with. Their story unfolds as you turn the pages, and you need to read it as it unfolds with its twists and turns that leave you breathless!!!
I received an ARC in return for an honest review. I have mixed feelings about Book 2. I’m kind of over the “I’m going to be mad at you then let you have sex with me anyway” storyline. It’s just the same things over and over. I’m all down for the sex scenes but it’s starting to get annoying. I need more plot and less sex. Halfway through and I was bored. Obviously, there was more storyline as you read but I got bored just reading about Dante and Eve banging. We had a lot of that in Book 1. I was hoping Book 2 would be more storyline. I mean I think they have sex every single time they are together. Can’t we just skip over those and move on? Of course we left on another cliffhanger and I need to know what happens in Book 3!! I just hope we get more out of Dante or I will be disappointed.
Book two of the Santiago series is just as good, if not better than the first. Eve and Dante are separated and it’s unbearable!! Their reunion even more intense but not without problems. How can they make it through without losing them self’s to the darkness forever. There were so many other elements in book two that brought in new characters and more depth to the story. Loved it!!
