When is the next book? Who is the Princess of Lies and Truth? What is her plan. I need the answers now!!! There are so many little subplots going on that this book just moves really fast and is over before you know it. You just keep reading to figure it all out.
Boy! I need to catch up on the past few books. So much has happened. Sarina Dorie does a great job of letting you know what has happened but not the full details. Makes you want to get caught up.
I highly recommend that you read the others books first if you are just starting the series here. There are things better explained in previous books that can be confusing for first timers. If you have read previous books and have an understanding of the characters then you might be okay.
This is my honest and freely given review. I did receive an ARC book.
Forbidden love, witches, fae, murders, spells & magic wards— just another zany day ay Wombly’s!
There’s mind-blowing sex — with one caveat — between Clarissa and Thatch. They even confess their love to each other, so everything should be rainbows and unicorns, right? Wrong! The new headmaster introduces exceptionally restrictive rules — enforced by invisible security guards — that put a damper on just about everything that would be fun. Politics and magic swirl around the school, and an evil Fae called the Princess of Truth and Lies threatens Clarissa, her lover and her friends. There are murders, a suicide-by-electronics attempt, and more threats to life and limb through the school. A fun series, easy to read. I loved the plot and characters! I found myself … well … cackling at many scenes.
A grown up series for Harry Potter fans, definitely not for children.
I enjoyed reading this series, from book one the author starts creating a magical world. I highly recommend beginning with book one so that you do not miss any nuances.
Framed!
I love this book! This whole series is amazing! I love the characters and the continuing story at Womby’s. The book is full of magic, mayhem and mystery. This book is so interesting I couldn’t put it down.

Review:
12 Cackles and Cauldrons by Sarina Dorie [4s, New-adult, school, PNR and other types of love, Fae Court and other PN politics.]
As we can see, if readers have read this far into this series, it has become somewhat of a PN soap opera. The characters grow and we learn more about them through their interactions with each other. We see other settings within the Womby story-verse and this world becomes more detailed for readers. The author does, I think, an excellent job of showing the action and settings while remaining consise in this character-driven story series.
This episode deals particularly with connections. Whether they be love, friendship, family, magical, political, or as an ethnic group, no one is an island unto themselves. What has gone on before us shapes our future, even if we are unaware of our past. Acquiring knowledge of our personal past and our past as a people is helpful in making better plans for the future.
This has been an honest feedback of a purchased copy.
This series just keeps getting better, join Clarissa, Thatch and everyone at Womby’s in fighting the forces of evil. Will they triumph over the Raven court or will Clarissa lose her soul?
Sarina Dorie grabs you in book 1 and keeps you in her evil clutches, forever wanting more!
New rules and forbidden magic.
I am a little behind on this series but went ahead and read this one anyway. I had no problem picking up on what was going on although this is not a stand-alone, it is part of a series. This episode sees a new principal running the school who is strictly by the rules and creates more rules. Clarissa of course doesn’t let rules stand in her way of trying to help her friends and students. She is still learning how to use her magic but is practicing a lot with her man Felix Thatch. The Princess of Lies and Truth is trying to destroy everything and everyone. I find the characters and locales to be so well developed that is makes for a really good read.
I received an ARC. This is my honest review.
This book started out with Clarissa & Thatch in his dungeon bedroom. Considering that she’s the new art teacher and they didn’t used to like each other; you know you are going on a wild, witchy venture. It does not disappoint! Between her roommate’s attitude, the never break a rule Principal Khaba, Phantoms threatening Clarissa, a new strict Principal (Chuck Dean) replacing Mr. Khaba, students running amok, Clarissa’s magic not working (as far as most people know), and many other enlightening and disturbing occurrences; you better hold on tight to your broomsticks, wands and hats because turbulence has struck! This is an excellent read and you won’t want to stop reading until the end. Then you’ll be asking for more.
Red Robin
Oh my, that was intense! Looks like forces are growing against Clarissa and her powers are growing along just fine to withstand! These are such fun books! I really love them!
I was an ARC proofreader, so got the book free in exchange for reporting typos and errors. What a deal! I’ve read all the Womby’s series, and always look forward to the next.
Part way into her third year at Womby’s, Clarissa and Thatch are together again, actually in bed together, as we start. Of course, a minor fire results, cutting short the enjoyment.
As usual, a comedy of errors and misunderstandings enliven the book. Khaba is replaced as principal by Chuck Dean (the failed Dean of Security from a previous book). School rules WILL be enforced! Of course, Clarissa’s fate in life seems to be to break each and every rule by doing what she thinks is the right thing. Of course, the new principal and many of her colleagues disagree about what “the right thing” is. Derrick re-enters the picture. Prince Elric is still infatuated with Clarissa. Vega remains hateful, but seems to have mellowed towards Clarissa – which may not be such a good thing. With friends like this… Who is the Princess of Lies and Truth, and why is she threatening Clarissa and her friends?
I love this Author and this latest book just leaves me wanting more. I love the whole cast of characters and this school is very realistic.
This book needs a prolog being book 12. You start reading it and you have events thrown at you that you have no idea what they are talking about. I won’t be finishing this book, too confusing. This is one series you can’t start in the middle.
