Book 3 of the ONE WEEK Series — standalone readOne week… can change your life.Kayla Wilson has her life together. For the most part. She has work she loves, great friends, and a friends-with-benefits arrangement which suits her just fine — she’s not interested in anything more. Although Oscar is sexy, fun and sweet, he’s way too immature to be taken seriously. The amazing sex is all she needs.… is all she needs.
And her mother is getting married. In Paris!
Everything is roses until Kayla realizes that her mother’s fiancé is her old high school nemesis’ father. Looks like the boy who made her teenage life hell is about to become her stepbrother.
Matt Moore is as beautiful, rich and cocky as ever. And so is his father, Mark. Can she trust either of them? Will Matt bring out all her insecurities again? Will Mark hurt her mother? Is her mother making the biggest mistake of her life?
With Oscar’s and her friend Corrie’s help, Kayla is determined to break up the wedding.
Will she succeed or fail gloriously? Who will she hurt along the way? And who will she come to truly know and love in the end?
The third novel in the One Week series, One Week in Paris explores the bonds of friendship and family, painful pasts, and the beautiful city of Paris.
Author’s note: One Week in Paris contains explicit scenes and some coarse language — for adult audiences. The book can be read as a standalone, but if you plan to read the whole series, it is best to do so in chronological order to avoid spoilers.

The thing that made me want to read this book was the blurb. It spiked my curiosity and the need to know what would happen overcome my ability to sleep.
The fact that this new book was written by a new author was a huge bonus but it can be tricky as well. Tricky because I didn’t knew if I was going to like her writing but let me just say that my fears were unfounded.
Roya Carmen is a new author to me and I adored her writing. It sweet, special addictive and intense at the same time.
One Week In Paris is her latest release and it’s the third book from the One Week series.
This book explores the lifes of Kayla and Oscar.
Kayla has the perfect life. A great job, she’s surrounded by true and caring friends and has some special friends who attend to her needs. She’s not interested in a steady relationship so this arrangement works out for her. On a trip to Paris to attend to her mother’s marriage she has only one goal, and it’s to stop that nonsense but…
Oscar has been a constant in Kayla’s life but despite the fact that he wants more from her he won’t jeopardize it. He looks like his life has always been perfect but…
Let’s just say that this was one great start to a series that I want to keep reading.
Great plot, very interesting, intense and strong.
The chemistry between the characters is strong despite all the drama that surrounds them.
There were parts of this book that I wanted to slap someone but there were others that I wanted to promise better days.
I’ve laughter, cried, curse and screamed but I wouldn’t change a thing.
I’m super curious about the previous books from this series and I can’t wait to read the one that’s about to come.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
Wow a lot can go down in a week! This book had sweet and sexy moments. I thought kayla was flaky at first but she grew on me. Her and Oscar have intense chemistry! These two just have sex anywhere and everywhere. I’m glad she gave him a chance and realized he’s a great guy. I don’t want to ruin all the fun this group has breaking up a wedding, so read the book. Also Matt may br charming but he is a Grade A Jerk..hasn’t changed much since high school. I’m glad she realized that before losing the best thing to happen to her. Really good book with great characters!
This is the third book in this awesome series, and each of these novel’s can be read as standalone. This is massage therapist and bartender Oscar’s story. These two are both broken souls but the chemistry between this is intense, and they have had a friends’ with benefits relationship for year. Kayla is too scared to commit to a relationship, and Oscar is happy to accept her any way he can. This is a beautifully written story which is heartbreaking, steamy, and heart-warming, all which had me intrigued and hooked throughout. I cannot wait to read more from this talented author whose work I recommend for all.
I have an obsession with Paris so when I saw this book I knew I had to read it!
Having read Rita’s books before I knew I was in for a treat. I love her spin on romance and this one was no exception. The twist in the story was great and kept me wanting more.
One Week in Paris by Roya Carmen is Kayla and Oscar’s story. Kayla Nilson is the last single one of the 3 friends in her group.
Kayla is a massage therapist and she loves her friends and her job yet she is also the only single friend left. Oscar is a bartender. Together these two people have sizzling chemistry and beautiful connection together. Kayla is not out looking for a relationship and Oscar will take whatever she will give, if all he can get is her. He wants more but doesn’t want to rock the boat. Kayla’s past was so painful and heartbreaking that it affects her present. My heart ached for her yet she became this success. Then there’s Oscar…Mister Perfect- but he’s not. Oh trust me, he was not as put together as he seemed. Kayla and Oscar truly made a perfect pair. Only thing is they needed to open up and talk about their pasts in order to get to the present in order for them to have a future.
Add in the beautiful background of Paris and the feels, romance and angst and there’s One Week in Paris.
My Rating: 4.4 stars *****
This story can be read as a standalone, but the entire series is amazing so I highly recommend starting at book one.
Kayla’s story may be my favorite one of the three so far. Kayla and Oscar have been friends with benefits for years. Kayla is afraid being in a committed relationship after her father walked out on her and her mom. She doesn’t want to experience any of the pain and hurt. Oscar will take whatever he can get from Kayla. These two have formed a bond with each other, they have shared things with each other that they haven’t even told their friends. When they go to Paris to celebrate the wedding of Kayla’s mother will that one week change everything in their relationship?
Kayla’s past was so heartbreaking to read about it. The struggles she experienced and how much pain and suffering she dealt with due to bully. I loved who incredibly strong she is for being the person she is today. Oscar seems like he had the perfect life, but that is only what he wants people to think. Oscar’s past broke my heart. These two could not be any more perfect for each other. They need each other to heal and to embrace the future together. Add in a beautiful setting of Paris and you have one fantastic, emotionally beautiful romance story.
