Taken is book two of Wanda Amard’s, “With the Bad Boy” series. It is a short, fast paced, sexy read that can be read in your lunch break. To follow and understand the story you really need to have read Encounter, the first book of the series.
The most amazing start to a book ever, completely and utterly hot! Taken follows on from Encounter, and readers are met head on with one sexy and steamy scene, that leaves your heart pumping and wanting more, and this will return further on in the book, so make sure your poor heart is ready, and probably have a change of knickers available too. Kimber and Vinn are left reeling from their time together at the party, and Vinn is struggling with his feelings towards Kimber. He wants her, badly, he hasn’t wanted any other woman like he wants Kimber, however, we get snippets of what his past life possibly was like and understandably can see why he wants to keep Kimber at a distance. However, the way he treats Kimber really got to me, and I felt really sorry for her. Just imagine what that treatment did to that poor girl and her self-esteem, he really was an idiot and didn’t deserve the attention this girl was giving him. Kimber is young and in love, she cannot understand why Vinn is acting the way he is. Her age is evident and she is a little immature, but one thing is for sure she knows what she wants, and she wants him and she is going to get him. The chemistry between these two is off the hook, and what a treat you are in for when it completely and utterly explodes. This scene is sexy as hell, absolutely smoking hot, and off the scale erotic, it leaves you wanting MORE!! The book ends on a cliffhanger that leaves you shouting for more. What is next for Kimber and Vinn?
Wanda, you’ve done it again. You are an author that pulls a reader in and tantalizes them right up to the very end. Looking forward to what is coming next.
Taken begins where Encounter ended. Vinn does his best to move forward with his life as a mechanic at his uncle shop and keep Kimber at a distance. Neither Kimber and Vinn are able to forget their night at the party (Encounter Book 1) and the feelings invoked with each other. Kimber challenges Vinn and the result is Wanda Amard creating a scene that takes it up several notches on the erotic scale. However, reality kicks in for both Kimber and Vinn the morning after. Leaving great anticipation for book 3.
Book 2 of Vinn and Kimbers story starts out steamy. Vinn, knowing that he must stay away from Kimber, just can’t seem to. Kimber is young and head over heels where Vinn is concerned but he does nothing for her self esteem. I have a problem with how he treats her after every encounter but I am hooked on their story and want to see how it all plays out especially after that shocking ending. Anxiously awaiting Book 3. I received this as an ARC for my honest review.
Taken by Wanda Amard a five-star read you will be taken with. This is the second novel in the With the bad boy and wow I would want to be taken with that bad boy. This does follow on from the first in the series Encounter so read that one to get the full story. I must say I have total envy of Kimber, she knows what she wants in this aspect of her life at least and she is going for it, good on her I say. Will Vinn be able to keep his promises or not? I really hope not.
