Wicked Innocents is the first, free installment in a series of three books that combine a good old-fashioned amateur sleuth (two, in fact), with spine-tilling suspense, just enough horror to keep you on the edge of your seat, and the heart-pumping adrenaline of a fast-paced thriller.
Sleuths and sisters Hyla and Lizeth Frontenac run their own unique private investigator business from a small town in the Adirondacks. But they’re more often in their 1972 Ford Econoline van, driving across rural America to investigate their next case.
They’re not technically professionals, not really. The crimes they investigate are more dark and disturbing than the average. More…bizarre. Criminals are cloaked as supernatural creatures, occult forces threaten them at every turn, and the confused victims demand justice.
Lucky for the victims, when these women sleuths are on the case, no monster is safe.
For Kindle readers who enjoy a strong female lead protagonist, this thrilling series of paranormal private investigator mysteries will have you hooked from the first word. From the twisted imagination of mystery, suspense and thriller writer S.H. Livernois.

This book drew me in and held me delightfully-captive from beginning to end. The plot keeps you guessing, the characters are realistic, likable and identifiable and the scenery is described in such a way as to make you feel that you are an actual bystander in every scene. Once I started reading this story, the desperate need for sleep is the only thing that made me put my Kindle down. I am SO excited to move on to the next book in the series!
*I received a complimentary ARC of this book in order to read and provide a voluntary, unbiased and honest review, should I choose to do so.
Is the child, Nelly, crazy, mean, have a wild imagination, possessed or something else. Is her family crazy and abusing her, or is there something more sinister going on. When Hyla and Lizeth, the two Frontenac sisters, receive an email from a young girl who says her family has disappeared and whoever replaced her mother is trying to kill her, they immediately knew that this was a case they needed to check out. The sister operate an agency that specializes in searching for the supernatural and being monster hunters. Be prepared for an amazing story with more twists and turns than an old country road. Once I started reading, it was almost impossible to put down. I don’t want to give up the guts of the story, but needless to say, all is not as it seems.
I received and ARC of this ebook, and I wanted to post this review to let others know what a thrill ride it is.
This was a very good, but different book. Thr Frontenac sister who are sleuths dealing in the paranormal. A 10 year old little girl callls them asking for their help she believes that the three people who are supposed to be her mother, her father and her brother may look like them but the real people are missing. There are lots of twists and turns and keeps you engaged throughout. Of course I had no clue. I also got a book from the author that goes into more detail on three characters, but it would be a spoiler. I look forward to reading more of the Frontenac sisters books.
This is the first book I’ve read from this author and I really enjoyed it. It is a unique take on solving supernatural crimes. The book was well written and the story and characters were well developed. I liked the sisters individual personalities and their dynamics with each other. The story was action packed and full of twists and turns. It had suspense, intrigue and emotion. I’d highly recommend this book and look forward to future reads from this author!!
I received an arc for a voluntary review.

Meet the Frontenac sisters, Hyla and Lizeth, supernatural sleuths and monster hunters as they tackle their first case in Wicked Innocents. This dark tale focuses on 10-year-old Nelly Huggett and her possessed family. The novel is a good introduction to the sisters; however, I wish there had been more to the story, especially with the interaction between the family members. All in all, an interesting well-written book and I look forward to reading more from this author.
