A sweet story about old friends reconnecting and becoming more than friends. Jon and Kate knew each other in high school. He was really geeky and she was popular. They were sort of friends back then but now Kate can’t believe how much Jon has changed. Kate has focused her life on her career and her new assistant is none other than Jon. She has a plan and it doesn’t include any time for falling in love. Sometimes plans change
This is a book is in a group of series, but you can read it as a standalone. it really is a good book you have to read it.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book because it came me a look at an area of work that I’d not read about before. The Glass Ceiling that is often talked about for women in business fields.
Interesting how preconceived ideas can actually give a person a warped sense in later life. I was glad that the author developed the storyline about the Grandfather with his trials in later life. I liked the farm background, because it’s important in our world today.
Kate is focused in her career. Her goal is to achieve the promotion at her financial firm. Jon has had a crush on Kate since high school. But back then he was overweight and a nerd. Now Kate is going to be her boos for the summer and Jon has changed into a gorgeous man. Can they work as friends o will they find what make them really happy? Sweet love story.
Kate loved her life on the farm but as soon as she moved to New York to pursue her dream Finance job, she knew she belonged there. Jon is having to work in New York in finance to save his families cattle ranch. Jon has always wanted to have Kate by his side but she swore she would put love in the past and devote all of her time to her career. Now they both are going after the same promotion but will fate step in and bring their love back around. Grab your copy today and enjoy their story.
Wonderful story that hits you in the heart. Yep another one. However, this one is a little bit different though family wise. Best way for me to explain this is to say read it. Lol I’m not very good when brain spluttered. Sorry. Loved the book. Characters were awesome,( some shady that needed punching), cats got thrown into the mix and smart ones too!!! Love it!!!
“No need for apologies. “I’m Jon Smith. Kate and I went to high school together.” Ever wonder what happened to that special friend from high school? Kate gets the unexpected opportunity to find out. Not what she anticipated. Read this wonderful story to find out what she discovers. I received an ARC copy and it is well worth the read. Enjoy!
This book took me back to high school with the division between the cool kids and the not so cool kids (too old to have had nerds). Kate had been a cool kid even though she was smart enough to be a nerd. Jon was an over weight nerd in high school. When he shows up years later, Kate is embarrassed but also drawn to the now buff Jon. Jean C. Gordon brings a good story line with all the angst of those high school memories and current job worries with strong characters. A totally enjoyable book.
No Time for Apologies is a fun sweet romance I’m sure you’ll enjoy!
Enjoyed the story of childhood acquaintances reconnecting as adults. Good story, and I liked the characters. I received an ARC of this book.
I love every single book in this series! Wonderful introduction to characters and entertaining interactions between them. The author’s description of locations and scenery lets the reader “see” the whole picture and allows them to stay involved throughout the entire book. I can hardly wait to read the next book in this series!
Love how these books are clean, romance books with realistic characters and situations. Highly recommend reading this series.
I received and ebook and I am voluntarily giving my review.
No Time For Apologies the 5th book in the series of the No Brides Club by Jean C. Gordon begins to answer the question is the love of your life work or a life and love. Kate Lewis has been married to her job and hoping for a promotion that she rightly deserves with her company in NYC. Jon Smith grew up with Kate in rural NY and takes a job as her assistant well below his abilities but he wants to earn money to help his grandfather cattle ranch get out of debt. Love how the relationship between Kate and Jon grew and how Kate struggles with her job and a relationship with Jon. I highly recommend reading the book No Time For Apologies and all the books in the No Brides Club Series. I received an ARC copy of this book for an honest review of it.
Another story in the No Brides Club series. I enjoyed the main characters in this story and the storyline. Kate Lewis is a very smart character trying to prove herself in a man’s world. All she wants is to be promoted to fund manager In dong so her life revolves around work and more work until she becomes reacquainted with Jon Smith. Jon had a crush on her in high school and finds out he still does. Unfortunately Kate was not very nice to him then and she has no time for dating now. It was interesting to watch Kate’s character change as she wanted to find her happily ever after too. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
Well, the no brides club members are falling like flies. They really need to rename their group.
Book 5 in the series is a great book. An awesome, well written love story with lots of steam and drama.
Can’t wait to check out the next book.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book from Sweet Promise Press
Kate Lewis found more in New York City than her dream job in finance when an old admirer from high school walked into her office. He’s now a known entity in the finance world and in competition with her for a job she’s been working toward for some time.
The author brings growing attraction between Kate and Jon as well as many twists to the story that keep the reader unable to put it down.

A novel with promise and a poignant story of neglect and the real meaning of family. One year after book 5, Kate’s little sister Ava Lewis finds herself no longer engaged, back in college for pre-law and coincidently in the same New York apartment building as visiting Philadelphia financial consultant Nick Jansen who receives a sudden visit from his energetic five year old twin “niece and nephew”.

I purchased a copy of the clean novel No Time for Regrets (The No Brides Club Book 12) by Karen McCullough and this review was given freely.
A finding love and healing when not looking romance. This novel includes a slice of New York life involving unsafe low rent housing,Julie’s former paralegal cousin, college student and Beckley’s Cafe waitress Samantha “Sam” Dennis and widowed attorney Matthew R. Sentori.
No Time for Apologies by Jean C. Gordon is the fifth book in the No Brides Club series. Women with careers first have joined together to further their careers before marriage. It does not always work out that way. Love is a powerful force especially when the right one comes along. Kate Lewis always had a head for figures. She was a Mathlete along with Jon Smith. They were not great friends in high school, but ten years later, when they meet again in a supervisor-employee relationship, sparks begin to fly. Will Kate keep her promise to herself and choose her career over Jon?
This is wonderfully written story with great characters. I really liked Jon’s grandfather in addition to Jon and Kate! I highly recommend this book. it is full of emotions and is also a sweet story.
