I read this book in a day! The twists in the plot kept me engaged to the point that I really wanted to finish the book once I started. I then went back and read Path Unchosen and then Truth Unveiled, the other two books in the series. Each book can be read without reading the others in the series; however, you miss some of the more nuanced traits of the characters.
I absolutely love the main character, Meagan Greystone. She is so vulnerable yet so strong in her love for her friends and her commitment to helping mankind with her special gift. She is young with an old soul. Once she learns of her family legacy, she takes it on and continues to learn and grow from it and through it as well as the other special talents she acquires because of it. Trouble does find its way to Meagan’s door and she never backs down from facing it head-on. It is awesome to see a young female who is a strong advocate and protector of her friends, those that are of this world and those that are from elsewhere. There is also a love story intertwined with all the other excitement and intrigue. Although they came together quickly, it feels like a love story that develops over time and does not feel so rushed. She is young so I appreciated this aspect of the story.
Winterhurst is not so otherworldly that it seems unreal. It could exist, even now. The author has successfully blended this fantasy world in with what we know the world to be and what it could be if something catastrophic occurs. I love that a post-apocalyptic world is salvageable as are its people. The prejudices and fears that people have toward those that are not like everyone else remain; however, so does mankind’s capacity for working through them, especially when people like Meagan lead the charge and are steadfast in their resolve that all people deserve to be treated respectfully. Through her characters, as flawed as they might be, Cleary shows us that we have to at least give people a chance at redemption.
The book also has a bit of a scary edge to it, especially as we discover what it means to be a necromancer. The characters make magic seem plausible and real. Through Meagan (and her circle of friends) Cleary treats the dead and death with respect and most definitely, though not easily, puts evil in its place. Although it is becoming quite obvious that her talents have the potential to make her an extremely powerful person, Meagan is wise enough and strong enough to keep that part at bay. The push and pull of power that Meagan feels with her newly acquired talents are intriguing and I am very interested to see where this will take her in future books in the series. Because she is such an innocent, the hope is that she will continue to mature in her abilities and power without allowing them to compromise that innocence, her humility, nor her humanity. This is what makes the character trustworthy, at least to me, and so very likable. I eagerly await the next books in the series!

A thrilling read, and one I’d highly recommend! There is suspense and intrigue that will keep you glued to the pages until the very end. It wove in the post-apocalyptic scenario and had you rooting for the undead. The terrifying situations faced by Meagan and Glynn kept me on the edge of my seat. I hope there will be more books in this series!
I received a free copy of this book but I always give an honest, voluntary review based on my own opinions.
A story that is utterly fantastic. This is my first book by Kim Cleary and I am impressed. This is a book in a series and even though it is a continuation I didn’t feel lost by just reading this one only. This has so much action with suspense, drama, and mystery. There is some sweet romance blended in there as well. The characters are extremely well developed and you can just feel as well as imagine their personalities. The descriptions throughout the story allow you to picture the scenes perfectly. It is definitely worth reading and doesn’t disappoint.

This was my first witch related book and I was skeptical because I’m not a witch fan but the book had me hooked the whole time. I flip flopped many times on trusting different characters and who was on the bad side. And Aidan really had me because my son is like him, so he pulled at my heart strings. I can’t wait to read her other books in the series!!!

I can’t believe I read this book in one day! I couldn’t put it down! Megan has really gotten herself into the middle of things this time, and she can’t say that she wasn’t looking for trouble either! I just noticed that I use the exclamation point a lot…this book is that great!

being a necromancer can really interfere with your love life.
her hunky man may want her far the the fray, but an uprising involving elements related to her specialty is one where she will be right in the middle.
but are stubborn and love enough to triumph, or will more and worse come into play – and at what cost.
warring adventure meets love and romance.

This is my first book by this author, and I was excited to dive in. This book is the third in a series, but I have started in the middle of a series before and haven’t had much trouble. The same could be said of this book. There were a couple things I think I might have missed; however, I was still able to enjoy myself because it didn’t really feel like I had missed much at all. I liked the overall story, the world, and the action. I didn’t feel like I connected to the characters as much as I would have liked, but I did like them. Although, there were times I didn’t like the way Glynn acted about the undead, but I did really like him. Something else that threw me off a tad was the cyberpunk/old fashioned world. I guess I expected a more modern/urban fantasy setting. But, that’s on me and certainly not the book. I did enjoy this one and will read this author again! I recommend this book and was provided the e-book which I voluntarily reviewed.
Another wonderful book by Author Kim Cleary.
The character of Meagan is so wonderful. I couldn’t put it down.

Fate Uncertain is book 3 in the Daughter of Ravenswood series. This is the first book by Kim Cleary I’ve read. The unique storyline and strong and loyal main female character (Meagan Greystone) make this a must read. Meagan is becoming more comfortable with her gifts and is using them for good. It is an action packed adventure that draws you in and keeps you turning pages to the end. I enjoyed this book so much I will be reading the first two books in the series. This is listed as Book 3 of 3, but I hope there will be more books in this series. I highly recommend this book. Received a copy from Booksprout and this is my voluntary and honest review.
Fate Uncertain (Daughter of Ravenswood Book 3 is part of a series, but can be read as a standalone.
There’s lots going on in this book! A necromancer, a lawmaker, and so many twists and turns!

I have been so excited to rejoin Megan at Ravenswood. Now that she is more comfortable with her gift, I thought things would be a bit calmer. Boy, was I wrong. Glynn was a major part of this story, but Evie and Purah are only mentions. I was disappointed that Lyken, Aeyon and Zu didn’t show at all. I didn’t like Del from the get-go. Megan and Glynn have their hands full with drug addicts, dead, undead, spirits and a psychopathic commanding officer. Megan being who she is wants to help everyone. This is a super fantastic series! I recommend this series to anyone that likes zombies, necromancers, magic, and a determined, unconventional, strong woman. I sure hope there will be more for our girl, Megan and Glynn. I requested an advanced reader copy from Booksprout and am under no obligation to leave this review.
This PG13 third installment of Daughter of Ravenswood takes a full LONG day to read and takes place six months after Book One. I know, six months is not really an anniversary, but Meagan is only nineteen so six months SEEMS like a year to her!

Fate Uncertain is the third book in the Daughter of Ravenswood Series and I loved it! The series just keeps getting better with each book. This book is well written, fast paced, action packed and grabs your attention right from the beginning and keeps you in suspense until the very last page. I’d highly recommend this book and look forward to the next book in this series!!
The Mayor wanted Meagan Greystone to sit on the council court hearings, as her dad and every generation of her family had done. But Meagan didn’t want to judge her neighbors as a representative of the witches. Although she protested she was too young at 19, she was more than adequate for the job! Meagan is a strong person who stands up for her friends and is very protective.
Although Meagan is powerful, there may be something else that is more powerful. When she puts herself in the middle of her boyfriend’s situation in Brimbank, she may have taken on more than she can handle. Glynn Buckley wants her safe, and she wants him safe! But she cares too much for others to leave them in danger if she can do something to help. Will she be able to handle this?
This was a very enjoyable book. The characters are very likable, showing loyalty and love for their friends and others. Add some magic to the story line and it’s perfect! Grab your copy and see if she can rise to the occasion!
I found this book fascinating and her to be a talented author. Her characters are great and her storyline is fascinating.
FATE UNCERTAIN by Kim Cleary is an awesome story that I have read. This is book number three in this awesome series that I read.
