What’s it like to be a monster in a town full of monsters, who don’t know you’re a monster?Complicated and a little scary, but doable. What’s it like to be the girl who can’t die…that everyone seems to always want to kill?Frustrating as hell. What’s it like to accidentally raise psychotic alpha vampire everyone fears, who drops a lot of bodies on his first day out as a ‘gift’ for your troubles?… ‘gift’ for your troubles?
Terrifying, if I’m being honest.
What’s it like when that crazed vampire tells you he wants you to be the happy little intermission, during an ongoing ancient story, and expects you to use your vagina to draw in a werewolf alpha, a Van Helsing alpha, and a sexual deviant alpha, so he can have his old friends back?
That’s when a girl has to stop, look around, and question her life choices.
I really don’t know how this stuff keeps happening to me. Life was simpler when it was just me accidentally blowing myself up while trying to create potions and shampoo.
I’ve lived my life in such secrecy that I’ve spent most of it lonely. So lonely, in fact, that my best friend is a delusional ghost. I’d rather focus on her than all the crazy things happening in my life at current. Ever since coming to this town, I’ve had my throat slit by vampires, attracted way too much attention from some powerful alphas, and did a lot of regrettably stupid things because…I’m too gullible for shady monsters.
To them, I’m the fool.
To them, I’m the naive girl in over my head.
To them, I’m the pawn on a worn chessboard, while the seasoned players knock me around.
Meanwhile, I’m still left to figure it all out on my own, because, just like me, no one wants to share their secrets.

You gotta get hooked on this series!?! Seriously!! Worth every moment with Violet and her #MonStarQuad %-D
I’m addicted to this series and I’m waiting (im)patiently for the last book to come out. Amazing read.
This is my second round of reading All The Pretty Monsters series and I still can’t get enough. The story building is fantastic, there are pages where your heart hurts and the next you are laughing so hard your belly hurts. Kristy Cunning is a wonderful author and I have read most of her books and will continue
*** No Spoilers ***
Amazing read for book 2 of this series. Kristy keeps us hooked with the changing of character emotions and storyline. There is so many twists, ups and downs, hot then cold events going on in this book. Violet attracts so much craziness that it’s an addictive series.
I recommend this book!
*** I have Kindle Unlimited, and I used that service to read this book. ***
Book 2 of the All The Pretty Monsters series picks up at the ending of Gypsy Blood. You don’t want to read these books out of order as it is a continuation of the story. If you’re a lover of all things paranormal, reverse harem, then you don’t want to miss out on reading this series!
This poor gypsy woman has been used and tricked all while monsters are trying to kill her, but this girl has a view secrets hidden up her sleeve. Secrets that lead to magic that you wouldn’t want to be on the receiving end of.
Anna (Violet’s ghost friend) brings so much life to this book. She is hilarious and always seems to say the funniest things, especially around the super hot alpha monsters. I cannot get enough her!!!
The character building is amazing! The reading flows so easily, there’s no frustration with how it reads. The build up and pace is perfect! I want to know the main character and then I love her. She’s not perfect but she tries and that makes her amazing! It’s a RH series that I couldn’t put down!
A freaky read!
What’s it like to be a monster in a town full of monsters, who don’t know you’re a monster?
Complicated and a little scary, but doable…
And the amazingness continues…Gosh, this is such a slow burn romance. I don’t know whether to cry or scream. I honestly can’t wait for them to be together.
This series is flippin’ awesome and keeps getting better and better.
Full of monsters, gypsies, secrets, death, ghosts, humour and a hint of romance.
Perfect for readers of paranormal romances.
3.5 STARS!!!!
The characters in this series are so intriguing and there is so much suspense that it makes you want to read the rest of the books. Violet, Vance, Damien, Emit and Arion will have you hooked on their characters and it’s funny because I’m still trying to figure out why. Why can’t I get enough of them? The men are possessive, charming, protective, funny and so much more. The sex scenes are also steamy as hell and Violet is not holding back. I have to say, the author’s writing style is fantastic because there isn’t much that’s really happening and yet, I can’t get enough of the story while wishing at the same time more would happen. I look forward to reading the next book in the series. There’s still so much that needs to be revealed and I’m ready for it.
This was an excellent next installment to this series. I really enjoyed seeing further in to the lives of the alphas and watching things heat up as well. We are getting so close to what Violet really is that I can almost taste it. I need to know!
Information overload!!! Oh wow! I had to read several pages more than once to make sure I understood what the hell was going on! So much craziness! So much chaos! Love! Love! Love! All the action, tension, confusion, hotness and so much more questions! This series is so addictive!
Ok, this series is confusing me (and not just because of the constant questions within the story) but because I feel like there’s various things I don’t like, and yet I can’t stop reading and wanting more!
There were moments where my interest starting waning, too much secrecy and mystery and not enough answers, but, as with book one, the pace and action picked up towards the end and pulled me right back in.
I’m still not too keen on Violet. And as for the guys? Emit and Vance don’t really do enough for me. I like Damien, but his big scene with Violet was a bit of a let down. I do still love Arion though. He got me good in the first book and has continued to hold my interest. Since we lost a favourite character, he’s really the one keeping me here!
I’m hoping book three gives me answers and a closer connection to these characters!
Technically not my first 5-star read this year but holy shit, it might as well be. I just don’t know where to start because everything about it, everyone in it, is just so fucking amazing. And without meaning to, I keep feeling myself being lulled to this eerie calmness when it comes to Violet, which leads to me underestimating her, when all along she’s the baddest, biggest and freakiest of them all. And I mean that in every awesome way!
GDI I’m so blown away I can’t help but remind myself not to be afraid of the four alphas but to look for that woman who’s got herself the very same four alphas wrapped in her seemingly fragile but is actually totally powerful finger. (Now that’s a mouthful of metaphor.) Uhhh, yes, totally talking about Violet. It’s never going to be not funny reading the alphas scamper as if they’re going to trip themselves trying to reach Violet first before any other does.
But anyway, there is something so dark and poetic and mysterious with the way this series is written and I am so thrilled to the bone to explore more what is to come.
Also, I miss Anna. I guess we’ll have to amuse ourselves on our own this time around?
Twisted Romances – In A Good Way!!
Gypsy Freak (All The Pretty Monsters)
I enjoyed book #2 even more than the first one!
Arion is a conniving sh*t of a Sexy Vampire. Some of the things he says to or about Violet are hurtful, but I’m not sure he actually realises it? I think Damian’s cold shoulder hurt Violet more than Vance’s did, especially as they’d become friends!! You just know Vance is itching for a second chance And Emitt, well be was burying his head in the sand but after what he now knows, that’s bound to changd??
I love the omega girls, I hope they’re true friends Shera I died reading Vance describing Violets dancing!!

Sexy and humorous!
Gypsy Freak (All the Pretty Monsters) by Kristy Cunning is book two in the series. This is a very humorous book with sexy monsters and lots of secrets! The mysteries are some of the fun parts! Love how all of this is unraveling. Great fun!
Like with Gypsy Blood, this book is fast-paced. It’s action-packed. It’s also a full-length novel. There’s a sort-of cliffhanger/not a cliffhanger that makes you want to go straight into book 3. It’s hard with cliffhangers, because I feel like, on the technical side (build-up, climax, resolution, etc), it’s not a cliffhanger, but on the emotional side, what is the author doing to me??
A lot goes on in this book. We find out more about histories and dark secrets – the monsters’, Violet’s, gypsies’ (as they are written in the book, not true gypsy history). Of course, the guys are still keeping some things from Violet, while still trying to figure her out. She’s trying to use what she can and what people will tell her to figure out her own history. The pieces are starting to get there, but there’s important bits that are still just outside of reach. That’s part of what makes you want to keep reading this series, what makes this story so enthralling – the way in which the back story is built. With a story like this, the back story and history could drown the book. It could have been done in a way that would have slowed the pace and made it boring. That’s not the case here. As infuriating as it it may be to not have all the history, we don’t need all the complex, centuries-long history straight away for this story to work. As much as it pains me to admit, the author has made it better to get it in dribs and drabs. It feels like the truth is so tantalisingly close that you NEED to keep going until you know. And while the book is fast-paced and full of action, that doesn’t mean that the relationships go by the wayside, especially in light of what Violet hears about the past relationships of her monsters. The relationships keep developing and keep Violet, and the reader, on her toes. Thankfully, book 3 was out not long after I read this, so I wasn’t driven mad, and the books are on a fairly quick release schedule, anyway.
Gypsy Freak (All The Pretty Monsters Book 2)Kindle Edition
by Kristy Cunning
First – I read this book via Kindle Unlimited
Second – I binged the first three books (all that were available at the time) in a single all night binge and so, there may be a bleed over.
Third – these books are not standalone. There are cliffhangers and very little to no information front load. I highly suggest either reading them all at once or re-reading before you start the next book because you will be confused. But it is really, really worth it!.
We rejoin Violet and her four men in this book. Arion is trying the manipulate everything in order to get his friends back. He tries to force Violet to do this. All does not go well, particularly as we discover so much more about Violet’s own ‘curses’.
I refuse to give out spoilers, so suffice it to say, this is one of the funniest, sexiest, most enjoyable book I have read in a very, very long time! Ms. Cunning has a delicate touch with the insertion of mythology and humor. Both feel natural, as if we were really living in this Gypsy Curse Haunted World.
Her use of dialogue to move things along is awesome in the original sense of the word – worthy of awe. This can best be seen in the Omega wolves. Hysterically, femmie wolves who, when faced with fight or flight, they bolt. They are nothing like Violet appears to be, yet they are what she needs.
Characters move the story along as much as plot. And for once, the heroine has an idea of what is going on and is not a complete idiot who has to be handheld through the whole process.
We also get some smexy scenes that make you reach for a fan (to cool yourself) among other things.
Our male leads, our heroes, start to become more than just the origin of their type of monster. We can feel their frustration, confusing and passion in their every move.
A great, if annoying read – the cliffhanger at the end makes a muscle in my jaw tic. For people who love monsters and for people who love a RH/Why Choose story!
5 out of 5 stars.

Oh man this continuation of Gypsy Blood is fantastic. The story just keeps getting better and better and the characters are more captivating then ever too. The more things are revealed the more I want to know. This series has definitely captured my attention so far and I can’t wait to read book 3.
This series is so much fun! Violet is great – she is a mix of naïveté and smarts. I like how the guys are so tough, but still don’t know what to make of her. I am so intrigued by what her history could be and what the gypsy song is foretelling. I can’t wait for book 3 🙂
Only a little Freaky…
I finished Gypsy Freak in one day and I can thank the Energy company for helping me out with that. Yes, it sucked me in and had me rushing to find out what would happen next, but, when you have no power for a couple of hours, what else to do, but read. Ok, I probably SHOULD have taken the kids on an adventure, but I was also using it as a bit of a test. I wanted to prove to my kids that they COULD(!!!) survive without WiFi, Xbox and the TV. All around, it was a very successful day and they did SURVIVE!!
Holy Shamoly!! Gypsy Freak sure did pack a punch. We’re definitely getting a bit of that reverse harem action in this one. No, it’s not a big orgy like I originally pictured but Violet is getting up close and personal with each of the monsters. It’s a funny one because I’m not at all uncomfortable with the way it’s all playing out. I’m normally the first one running for the hills at the first sign of cheating, but it’s not at all like that. I guess you would have to read it to get what I mean.
I was pretty surprised how this one played out, to be honest. Violet is such a complicated character and with each revelation, I found myself wondering what more could she handle. There’s this innocence she carries around because of her lack of knowledge and understanding of the monsters and this place she now calls home. The secret that Violet tries to hide from the monsters is one step closer to being exposed and I’m not confident their reactions will be positive. Violet has lost a lot of her loved ones and each additional one seems to leave her further damaged. Her absent father seems to be a bit of a waste of space when it comes to parenting.
I’m pretty stoked that Kristy Cunning is not making us wait long between instalments. 3 weeks isn’t a long wait and I’m fairly confident this storyline will be fresh in my mind when I get to #3.
I don’t know how to explain Gypsy Freak and do it justice. It’s humorous, a little weird and decidedly different from other books I’ve read in this genre. I was entertained from start to finish and my emotions took a somewhat bumpy ride. These monsters definitely do go bump in the night.
I’m definitely going back for more.
