When Jessica flees the vicious werewolves for what she hopes will be the safety of House Ursa, she never expects anything more than a cold welcome. After all, she’s spent years listening to her sister’s mate preaching about the evil bear shifters. Now, one of those same bear shifters has been assigned as her guardian. Handsome, kind and utterly protective, she can’t help but think it’s an act.… act.
Klaue has never been sure quite how he will meet his mate but watching her crash into a tree while she’s running from the wolves of House Canis is definitely not it. Now she’s here, in his quarters, and he has no idea what to do. She’s gorgeous and perfect in every way, but she also might be a spy sent to infiltrate their House. She can’t be both that and his mate, but which one is it?
The longer Jessica stays silent, the more the suspicion about her grows. Klaue is forced to fight for her safety from both within and without House Ursa, even as he tries to win the respect of his fellows. It’s a fine line to walk, made all the worse because the secret Jessica is keeping could have terrible repercussions for wolf and bear shifter alike. Can he prove to her that he’s not what she’s been taught, and somehow earn her trust before it’s too late?

Until next time… Happy Reading!
There was a lot going on in this. It is intriguing, suspenseful, emotional, funny, has danger suspense and so much more. He is to protect her but she is also his mate. There is so much more to it. Lots of twists and turns. they are good for each other but problems are there. I received a review copy from booksprout and voluntarily review it.
I LOVED IT. I like the plot. All the stories in this series has such good plots. I don’t know how the author thinks them up but she is good. The excitement of a Mage in this one was way different and made it more exciting. The different kinds of energy and what they can do was fun also. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a honest review.
Wow! This next book in the series does not disappoint! The intrigue in the House of Ursa continues as they try to flush out the traitor. Jessica flees the Canis house when she overhears something while visiting her sister. They are human, but she has come to terms with her sister’s mate so she isn’t’ totally shocked when a giant bear comes to her rescue after she runs from Canis. Klaue has just been told his mate has been found, but she is in danger and heading to their house. Their attraction is instant, but they don’t trust each other. It will take plenty of danger, guilt, suspense and lust to show these two how much they love each other! It’s so good!
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Klaue and Jessica are mates – she doesn’t know and he only got to rescue her, because the Hunter of House Ursea told him so… It is a little out of the ordinary thats definitely for sure, but the intensity of everything within House Ursea is remarkable to read through. I liked it quite a lot. The names of all the members starting with a “K” while the wolfs start with an “L” is just hilariously funny.
ONE THRILLING TREAT!!!
Oh my! Man, talk about splitting the difference. Riley really brought it with this page turning dynamo. A rollercoaster ride of emotions and events that pull you in and hold you captive. The characters are complex and believable with such depth and individuality it’s easy to relate. All the drama, heartache, fear, uncertainty, danger and suspense bring this read roaring to life brilliantly. Riley weaves a world around you until nothing else exists. An intense storyline and strong plot bring it all together and keeps you riveted on every word while on a razors edge. Major trust issues are put to the test as tension spirals. Twists and turns abound with unexpected circumstances that make for one thrilling experience. The scenes are written with such realism it really pulls this bad boy together perfectly. Remarkable job Riley, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.
Such as high energy series.
Mated to the Enemy: High House Ursa #3, is by author Riley Storm. This series just stays deliciously entertaining as the shifting world continue to do battle.
In this book it’s the Canis and Ursa who battle over sisters Jessica and Zoe, each involved with with one of them. Who will come out on top? Jessica starts out with her sister at Canis but escapes to Ursa and is protected by Klaue who, has been told by Kincaid that his mate is arriving post haste at the gates. Turns out to be Jessica. Are they suited?
So much is packed into this storyline that it’s easy to remain engaged. I like that Queen of Ursa is the constant thru all the books. She is an enigma and I’m looking forward to see what may happen to her.
Definitely recommending this book for your reading pleasure and enjoyment. The next book in this series is Shifting Alliances (Feb 2019). I am unassumingly leaving a review of this book for your consideration.
I don’t think the title did the story justice. There story was nice and slow and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
** spoiler alert ** Years ago, Jessica was thrown into the deep end when it came to shifters. Klaue has longed for his mate, but was willing to wait. She needs his help. Will Jessica learn to trust Klaue to tell him the truth? Will Klaue be able to prove not all shifters are alike?
Fine line between love and hate. I loved how despite knowing she was hiding stuff, Klaue was still determined to do what he could to protect her. I didn’t blame Jessica for her actions, but loved when she finally opened up and started trusting the bears. Great read!
arc review I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is story of Jessica visiting her sister at moonshadow manor of house canim and over hearing somethings she should not of .while running from them she meets klava of high house ursa. This story has a lot going on with both clans. Awesome story
I’m really enjoying this series…I hate for it to end. The plot of book 3 is interesting. The storyline flowed smoothly throughout. The characters were developed and easily relatable. While the love story kind of takes a back seat to the treason storyline, it’s still a really good read. Once I started I couldn’t put it down. What was a little disappointing to me, is that Kincaid had a small part in this story. I can’t wait to read the final book in this series…
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book….
Wow! It just keeps getting better…
The continuing story of High House of Ursa is one heart pounding adventure. Jessica is accidentally thrust into the intrigue and meets Klaue, her mate, while running for her life from House of Canis. Wonderful new and returning characters. Great well written storyline filled with plenty of suspense, drama, action, magic, a wedding and romance. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series. Enjoy!
I received an arc copy and am happy to leave my honest review.
This is Klaue and Jessica’s story. Jess is visiting her sister, Zoe, who is mated to a Canis, the sworn enemy of the House of Ursidae. She overhears something that puts her life in danger. Escaping, but having to leave Zoe behind, she ends up at the House of Ursidae. Klaue defends her to everyone who think she is a spy . Apparently, Jess is his mate. A great continuation to this wonderful series. Bring on the next book please.
