When a woman is referred to as a “old maid” in her society circle in Boston, and her suitor she has been waiting on to ask her to marry him for a long time suddenly starts seeing a very young girl, what else should she do but become a mail order bride and go out West to start her own life away from Boston. But she is met with a murder mystery, tales of blackmail, and 3 men all determined that she is going to be their wife. She finds out the scheme behind her suitor from Boston showing up wanting to take her back to Boston and didn’t fall for it. The suspense that lies around every corner and her being told to stay put for her own safety doesn’t sit well with her, and her not listening gets her kidnapped. She is then met with the realization that she is definitely in trouble and needing the help of the U. S. Marshal service.
I love this book and this series. They have endearing characters and great storylines. I would definitely recommend this book and this series.

this is a good story, mail order bride meets a marshal, her intended does not show up at the train station. Tom helps her, can they find romance , I was given a copy of the book but this is an honest reveiw.
I always enjoy the stories by this author and this is no exception. Historical romance in the old west and a mail order bride that goes awry is such a great story line! Filled with suspense, drama, a murder and of course romance. We find our heroine, Samantha, a debutante from Boston, who answers an ad for a mail order bride and Tom, a US Marshall come to town to help on a case. What could be better than that? Of course Samantha finds her intended is murdered and things take off from there! Another great addition for the amazing series!

This is a fast paced, entertaining and romantic story. Tom is kind, chivalrous and unsure. Samantha is brave, determined and caring. When Samantha finally has enough of waiting on Charles to propose, and enough of her controlling father, she becomes a mail order bride and goes west. Tom happens to be there at the train when she gets to town. Tom is instantly intrigued by her, and she’s drawn to him. Soon they have a mystery on their hands, and they team up to solve it. Suddenly Charles shows up claiming to be her fiancé, and then the woman who has been chasing Tom shows up. The suspenseful picks up and it gets entertaining. It’s short, but sweet and romantic.

Falling for the Marshal is another great romance with suspense from Natalie Dean. I have enjoyed all the stories Mr. Dean has in this series. This book has a spunky 28 year old lady from Boston, a dead bridegroom (murdered, no less), a US Marshall on loan to Cypress Creek, and an overbearing rancher who has way too much influence over way too many townspeople. I got so engrossed that I finished the book much too quickly!
I found this book to be a really enjoyable read with the great character and storyline development! I was so engrossed in this story that I ended up reading it in one sitting!
What a great story! Fun characters, I really like Samantha. Samantha is a lady but has a little bit of spitfire to her. The story was filled with romance and mystery. The story captivated me from the first page until the last. A definite must read!
Loved this book. Samantha and Tom are quite a pair in solving the mystery of Samantha’s groom being murdered before she could become his mail order bride. I recommend this book.
