The story was pretty entertaining. I liked all of the characters good and bad because each of them added to the plot. I though Iris’s six tear daughter Bess was adorable and precocious but’s tad unrealistic how she was written. She was six and the dialogue was way to unbelievable. No six year old has the philosophical discussion that Iris and Bess had. It was to much but other than that I liked the story. Until next time y’all happy reading.
3.5 star review:
Nice chemistry. Well described and defined characters who develops nicely through the story. Nice storyline and plot.
Some action, drama and twists that makes it a nice read.
This was a fantastic new read from Suzanne Hart. Silas comes from a powerful, well to do family who wants to change the way people view the Denton family. Iris has started a foundation to help drug addicts overcome their addictions. These two are life fire and ice with an undercurrent of attraction. Rescuing Single Mom is full of twists, ups and downs, passion, and love. A great must read readers won’t want to put down.

Iris is a feisty, stubborn single Mom, who is fiercely independent. Silas is struggling to leave his past behind. From the moment these two meet there is intense chemistry despite them not getting off to the best of starts. This is a well written story which is emotional, steamy, and with secrets. I was totally enthralled throughout and look forward to reading more from this talented author, whose work I highly recommend for all.

(Review with spoilers)
Great romance. I enjoyed it.
I loved Iris. She’s used to doing everything by herself, not depending on anyone. She has a hard time asking for help. But she has managed to get ahead. She has a charming daughter, a job she likes, and another that fills her completely. She wants to help people, so that no one who needs help doesn’t have it. She is generous, honest.
I loved Silas. He has been struggling for a long time to put the past behind h, although it is not easy. His father doesn’t make it easy. He wants to be honest, to act honestly. He can’t get close to anyone. And, like Iris, he believes in second chances, although he still doesn’t know why he gave it to his father.
Neither Silas nor Iris expected to meet someone they would connect with from the first moment. They didn’t get off to a good start, but they gave each other another chance to talk, to get to know each other, to fix things. They wanted to see if they could be anything else, friends, or more thank friends. But life didn’t make it easy for them.
I loved them together. They talk, they argue, they tell each other the truth, even if it’s painful. And, when they can’t do it, they hurt the other without pretending it.
I loved Bess. She’s adorable. Silas was won over right away. Not just him.
I loved Naomi. She’s loyal to Iris, but she doesn’t hide and she tell s her what she needs to hear, even though she knows it’s painful.
I loved Sadie. She makes Silas smile, and acts like Naomi.
I loved that Ian apologized. He didn’t want to hurt either of them. He’s really changed.
I recommend it.
A single mother wanting to make a better life for her daughter, an anti drug non profit organization and so much more. This is a different take on a single mother romance. Iris and Silas have sizzling chemistry and find out they have more in common than they thought. This has wonderful characters and the storyline is well written.

Kept me completely enthralled
Rescuing Single Mom by Suzanne Hart is a fast paced crazy ride. There’s so much going on in this book from beginning to end. A real page turner, I certainly didn’t want to put it down!
Well written, wonderful characters, exciting storylines and plot with a few twists in addition to steamy chemistry.
Overall a great story with a HEA for Silas and Iris (and Bess!) and maybe we’ll read more about the Denton Family soon?

Great romance with realistic issues
I really enjoy reading books written by this author. I think this one is best of all I’ve read so far. Story about two beautiful but broken souls bound not only by instant and strong sexual chemistry but also but their past. Iris and Silas haven’t been able to establish any serious relationships in their lives. When they met the connection is instant but there is so many factors and issues that they need to overcome to be together that it almost seems impossible for them to even give it a try. The story line is twisted, there are a lot of unpredictable events but it is well thought through and it was a pleasure to read. I was immersed with the story and I instantly fell in love with main characters. And adorable little girl just stole my heart completely.
It is 4* heartwarming must read.
This is the story of Iris, a single, working mom who has established a non-profit organization to assist women needing help from either personal drug addiction or breaking ties from addicted family or spouses. She attends a fundraiser where she meets Silas and this meeting changes both their lives. There are many obstacles driving them apart but their chemistry is pulling them together. This steamy romance is well-written with wonderful characters. Both Iris and Silas have issues from their pasts that threaten their happiness. However, I loved how this author resolved the problems and gave them their HEA. This is an adult read with graphic language and sexual content.

Single Mom – Loving & Protective
An amazing story to read. Iris is a single mom who has had a tough life & she’s still able to raise Bess for the past 6 yrs by herself. Silas meets her at a fundraiser & the attraction is intense until she finds out his last name & doesn’t want his tainted money or him. Her daughter is her world & there is no room for a man in their lives unless he’s willing to be a father & husband. When trouble arrives at her doorstep, Iris is determined to fight this battle until her last breath by protecting her daughter. Silas is her knight in shining armor & rescues Iris from the uphill battle she faces. A proud young woman & a man who will protect the two he has grown to love. I would recommend this novel as your next read.

Pretty good read…not sure if I agree with the title though…more like they rescued each other. And it was nice to see a mature child not be obnoxious.
Left open for at least 1 more book, but probably more.

I enjoyed the story but there were too many obstacles to overcome. The drama was the emphasis of the story and the solutions were improbable.I found parts hard to believe and there was too much angst and not enough romance. I normally enjoy Suzanne Hart’s books, but I did not think this story compared to her other romances. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving this review.
Iris a single mom works a manager at a café and is making her dreams come true by having a fundraiser at a club for the rich. Naomi her best friend set it up and invited all of her parents rich friends and the club members. Iris cant keep her eyes off a man at the fundraiser and he cant keep his eyes off her. So Silas does what any red blooded man does and asks to have her attention for the rest of night. As one thing leads to another and almost kissing Naomi swoops in to have Iris give her speech and puts a check in her purse that Silas gave. After a successful night Iris lets Naomi know how much the check is 200,000.00.Estatic for the amount and all the others donations a goal that seemed so far away is finally making a head way. As Silas and Iris start to get to know each other she finally realizes the check he gave is from the family that had a hand in the drugs that the Southside was plagued with and torn it up after humiliating Silas in front of the volunteers.
Enjoy the journey with Silas and Iris and the twisting story of the journey to there HEA.

Iris is a single mother trying her best to make a better life for her little girl. Living in her old neighborhood lends the perfect opportunity to give people the chance to make a new start after getting clean. She organizes a fundraiser to benefit the rehab center she started and meets Silas. Silas comes from the family that started all the drug problems in the neighborhood.
Silas and Iris fall fast and hard for each other, even Silas surprises himself by having a genuine interest in Bess, Iris’ daughter. When Bess’ father tries to take custody of her after getting clean, Silas does everything possible to make sure Bess stays in Iris’ custody.
Silas and Iris though at first glance have very little similarities, after getting to know their characters, you find they are very much alike. They bring out the best in each other, and also the worst, which makes most relationships, thrive. I received and advance copy of this solid 4 star read, any and all opinions expressed are my own.
Liam doesn’t have time for a relationship. Trying to keep the family together and slowly but surely getting the family business legit he doesn’t have time for anything else. Iris works as a manager at a restaurant but her real goal in life is her anti-drugs nonprofit agency to help women get off drugs. She sees what they do in her neighborhood. She meets Liam at a fund raiser for her agency. They’re attracted to each other but both have secrets. Can they overcome all that’s between them or will it be too much. I loved the story and the character. I couldn’t stop reading it.
Thoroughly enjoyed this book, which will have you hooked from page one. The characters of Silas and Iris were well written and it was easy to fall in love with Iris and with Silas my heart went out to him and his struggle to leave his fathers past behind him. As for Bess how adorable is she? When Iris and Silas meet for the first time, the chemistry between them is off the scale. Despite very different backgrounds, difficult pasts, and so many reasons for Iris not to get involved with Silas what follows is a beautiful story of irresistible love. Of course it’s not all plain sailing, the path to true love never is, and when Bess’s father (Iris’s ex) returns into the picture, trouble ensues. My only criticism was just when I decided that this story was not going to end and would possibly finish this book with a cliffhanger, so the whole book was rounded off and finished very very fast.
Silas and Iris have a lot in common more than they can possibly imagine. When Silas father ask him to attend a fundraiser for him, he had no way of knowing the impact it was going to have on him or the transformation that it will have on his life. Iris comes from a family heavily rooted in drug addiction. When she met Ian she thought he was going to be the change agent for her life too bad it turned out differently. Now he is back and adding chaos to her life. Can Silas be the wind of change to calm her fears?
