A fun heartwarming story. Adrianne is such a wonderful character. I just loved her and at times was jealous of her job working with such incredible kids. Henry is a misunderstood prince with a big heart who is still trying to figure out who he is. Their chemistry is great and they work well together.
“Rescuing the Prince” Lucinda Whitney
A delightful contemporary romance!! What a joy to read a sweet clean romance… the road to true love is not an easy one… that is true. I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this story… and I can honestly say… I was hooked from the get-go and I am pretty sure you will be also. Happy Reading!!
Rescuing the Prince is a beautiful story from Lucinda Whitney. I loved the meet cute between the Prince and Adrianne. Henry does not exactly deserve his title of the Playboy Prince. It was fun to see him develop an interest in charitable work and watch him grow into some of his responsibilities. When Henry is a no-show at the fundraiser, Adrianne’s pilot program is closed. I have said enough. Will Henry be able to save the program and get the girl? You will have to read it for yourself. You will enjoy this awesome romance.
I always know I’m in for a treat when I pick up a book by Lucinda Whitney. I also know that I’m probably in for a later night than I expected because I won’t be able to put it down. Well, yes and yes – both were true again.
I loved Prince Henry and Adrianne’s meeting, especially that she didn’t just fall all over him. I enjoyed watching as he found purpose and she slowly began to trust him and his motives. Henry is an amazing, good guy with a big heart. Adrianne is passionate and full of love for the children she wants to help. They have a great story! And I loved every minute of it! Both learn things about themselves and about life, and it all brings them together in the end. Yay!
I received a complimentary copy of the book, which I voluntarily reviewed. I have given my honest opinion.
I love modern day Cinderella stories and this one is filled with so much heart! The characters of Henry and Adrianne were so wonderfully written. I instantly fell in love with them. Once again; Lucinda doesn’t disappoint her readers. She writes with so much heart in her books. I highly recommend this book and voluntarily chose to read it in exchange for an honest review. Bravo Lucinda!
Just finished “Rescuing the Prince” and thoroughly enjoyed it. Very romantic, Adrianne and Henry make a terrific pair. Showed what trust can do to a relationship. Never be afraid to say I’m sorry!!! Thank you so much for a very entertaining few hours. Please keep up the great work. Thank you. Sue D.
So cute! I loved the years ago connection between Prince Henry and Adrianne, and the common ties they develop together in their charity project. Both are fantastic characters who care more about others than themselves and make sacrifices to help the greater good. I enjoy seeing Adrianne relax a little and Prince Henry grow into his responsibilities. Great story!
This modern fairytale has the perfect precocious prince, Henry. He likes a bit of fun and doesn’t care that people judge him for it. On the inside, he is sweet, loving, and endearing; whether the media chooses to portray him that way or not.
Our heroine, is truly heroic and not only saves the day for Henry, but also for children with long-term health problems.
I loved the story of a strong, independent, self-assured woman and a man who knows what he wants, goes after it, and loved sacrificially.
I received an ARC copy of this audiobook and I’m leaving a voluntary review.
This was a sweet royal romance between Prince Henry Somerset and Arianne Blake, a Social Worker.
What engaged me about this story:
• The children’s hospital reading program.
• Prince Henry reading to the children.
• I admired Prince Henry for making changes to his life to become more responsible. He was truly a good guy, which he demonstrated through his kindness and thoughtfulness.
• The romance between Henry and Arianne developed at a reasonable pace.
• The narrator did a satisfactory job in differentiating the various characters’ voices.
• This was a clean story.
I was given a free audiobook by the author. My review was voluntary and my opinions were my own. I will be listening to or reading more books by this author.
(I listened to this as an audiobook)
Story: 3.5 stars
The story is decently well-developed as we follow Prince Henry’s change from ‘Playboy Prince’ to a man with a mission. It’s a sweet story and our heroine is believably reluctant to allow the prince into her heart. (Her character is wonderful, by the way!) The Prince’s character improves as the book goes on. We readers are allowed into his motivations for the changes he makes and that’s very important, otherwise, said changes would have felt feel insincere.
Narrator: 3 stars
The narrator does a good job! There are a few voices that didn’t do it for me: the king’s voice strains her lower range too much and the cousin who like horses (sorry! forgot his name) has a voice that is too high for a grown man (at least in my opinion). That said, most of the voices were fine- it was read very well and with good emotion, cadence and rhythm. I’d happily listen to her again!
*poor, **ok, ***good, ****very good, *****something special
I really enjoyed the story and the character development. I liked how the prince wanted to help with the charity accepted responsibility when things didn’t go quite right. I loved finding him reading to Poppy. So many good things in this book: family responsibility, looking out for elderly neighbors, apologizing when you’re wrong, etc. The narrative was a little slow for my liking, but the story was wonderful. It left me feeling good!
A Perfect Cinderella Story
A perfect Cinderella story, with handsome prince and beautiful commoner each realigning expectations as they strive to cope with their mutual attraction. The story flows and sweeps you happily to its conclusion while throwing in a few tidbits about the royals who inhabit the other novels in this delightful series, each of which, nonetheless, stands entirely on its own.
