LUCK AT FIRST SIGHT is the fourth book in the Kismet Bay series. Though each short story will stand on its own, I think it would better if you read them all and in the order of release.
There is mention of a town legend, but it wasn’t explained – more assumed that that the reader knew the legend from previous books. Other than that, this short story can stand on its own.
Apparently, the legend of the town of Kismet Bay is that the town’s magic will always lead you to your true love. Sage was hard-headed enough to leave town, to try to thwart the magic. Fate and magic have other plans and they always win. Happily…. Ever after.
This is the kind of story that, though short it makes me smile. Love wins, no matter what. Where there is a will – and true love – the people in the relationship will find solutions. Add in some meddling friends and family and it really is the stuff to make me smile (all in the time it takes to put together dinner).
Narration: Christian Drerup did a beautiful job of providing the voices for the characters and making me believe in the magic and the romance.

This was another perfect little book in Kismet Bay. It was a marvelous little lunchtime read. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book in exchange for a free copy.
Sage Strange wished she could enjoy the lovely day, but instead, she was in her car on a long drive back to Kismet Bay. She had vowed to stay away, but her twin sister Holly got engaged and begged Sage to plan her wedding. What can you do when family needs you? Unfortunately, this was the first of many trips that would be needed to finalize the wedding. But the real reason for her unease was the certainty that she would run into Tristan Scott whom she had broken up with and walked out on. It was a well-known legend that the town’s magic always led you to your true love – and yes, she would always love him. But she wanted to start her own event planning business and she had to leave to do that.
Nick Bell, Holly’s fiancé, watched as Tristan wiped down the counter again and again in his agitation at seeing Sage drive into town. He would take her back in a second, but he respected her wishes. Nick finally asked him if he would be his best man. He was two men short and desperate. Nick gave him a hard time but agreed. Just then the coffee shop door opened and Sage walked in! Her interfering twin had told her Tristan would not be working at that hour, and Sage desperately needed coffee! Nick, her future brother-in-law, introduced himself and gave her some very good advice – would she listen?
Tristan’s phone rang and one of his best friends, Gawain, was checking up on him. He had heard Sage was in town. After letting himself be goaded into being in the wedding party, he told Tristan to talk to Sage. Either get her back into his life, or move on. Tristan totally agreed. So many people cared about Sage and Tristan. Would the wedding be the chance to take another look at their feelings? The legend was working its magic on others – would they fall under the spell as well?
This was a short, cute story filled with love and friendship. How will the two main characters decide their future? Was the dilemma really insurmountable? Or like all love stories, was there room for compromise?
This enjoyable quick read takes us back to Kismet Bay. It is a second chance romance. Sage and Tristan are a wonderful couple and I loved the sparks that flew between them. Cute, sweet, fun and heartfelt, this short read was a winner.
Quick, sweet, second chance love read. I love the town of Kismet Bay and all the towns people especially the Strange family. Sage and Tristen are destined to be together, luckily for them both they figured it out the second time around

A super short St. Patrick’s day read. Sage Strange is back in Kismet Bay to help plan her twins wedding.
She left behind Tristan. It’s true love for both of them but Sage needed to leave to have a successful business away from Kismet Bay.
Can they find a way to work it out?
