The last she-wolf in his life and ambushed with the intent to kill, so when wolf shifter and former Navy SEAL, Brock Greystoke is tasked with helping cousin’s friend get to a wedding, he has no intention of getting involved with her. After inadvertently crossing a group of dangerous criminals, she-wolf Natalie Silverton is in dire need of a bodyguard. Good thing Brock is there to protect with her but every turn – and play – is bringing them closer together and Natalie isn’t looking to giveaway her heart.
This shifter romance is sweet and sizzling with heat but also thrillingly suspenseful and exciting. Both the hero and heroine are strong and compelling, easily drawing readers in but neither wants a relationship so this romance not only sizzles with lots of heat and sparks but has the added bonus of watching Natalie and Brock trying to deny that they want to commit to each other throughout the story which keeps the relationship quite energetic and charming.
The suspense builds throughout the story regarding the budding relationship but also due to the dangerous situation that Natalie accidentally stumble into which adds lots of danger and intrigue to the story. The plot includes some twists and turns and quite a few heart pounding, edge of seat events that has readers eagerly awaiting each and every turn of the pages of this riveting romance.
Brock has no intention of dating, never mind mating, anyone. So he is happy to volunteer to shepherd the bride’s lost friend to the packlands. Natalie too has sword off men. Her track record is just about as abysmal as Brock’s. Her parents are packless, their little family pack is happy that way after disasters with packs in the past. Their gardening business is flourishing but Natalie does miss her friend.
But after a snafu at the airport Natalie realises that she and the obnoxious wolf have managed to swap cases. He has her wedding gift! And now she has wads and wads of counterfeit money. Brock and the Greystone pack are ow surrounding Natalie, attempting to crack the counterfeit ring and keep Natalie safe.
Great read and a well thought out storyline. Really well researched and I cannot wait to see what happens next!
I enjoy reading Terry Spear, some more than others, but I particular love them when we see old friends here and there. This one had that. The mention of the Jaguar, the Greystone pack again, loved it. I thought the relationship between Natalie and Brock was an even one, I like the fact that Natalie takes things into her own hands at times and connects the dots well enough for even Brock to second think. Of course Brock is our hunky shifter seal and there is some steamy loving going on. There is action, and a few twists along the way to liven it up. Thank you Net Galley , Sourcebook Casablanca and Terry Spear for this arc. All thoughts and opinions are my own and were unsolicited.
Very entertaining, emotionally exciting and action packed adventure filled with heart pounding danger, intriguing mystery and undeniable passion… Really enjoyed getting to know these interesting charters as they struggle to decide what they really are to each other. Great reading experience.
SEAL Wolf Surrender is the 6th book in Terry Spears SEAL Wolf series. Haven’t read the others yet? Jump right in and you’ll be fine. (I always put this information first in my reviews. It’s the first thing I need to know when I read reviews; will I be lost and wasting my time?) This is one of those series you can enter at any time and still enjoy a fun story.
Natalie Silverton is a packless wolf who, with her parents, runs a successful nursery. That would be plants, not babies, by the way. Natalie’s best friend is getting married, so she travels to the Greystoke pack territory in Colorado to attend. She gets lost on the way, so her friend asks hunky Brock Greystoke, a retired SEAL, to guide her the rest of the way. Brock was burned before by a woman and vows never to get involved again. That was before he meets Natalie, who calls to his wolfy soul. Natalie discovers that she picked up the wrong suitcase at the airport when she opens it and there are bunches of counterfeit bills in it. Uh-oh. No doubt the owner will come looking for it, so she needs a bodyguard. Hmmmmm…… Who could help her with that?
I really enjoy books with lots of angst and tortured heroes. However, sometimes I just want a fun story where the leads know they belong together and there’s no angst between them. That’s not to say there’s no excitement here, because there is plenty dealing with deadly counterfeiters. Brock’s sexy pack relatives come to help our leads fight the villains, and I particularly liked his cousin Shawn. It was fun watching Natalie discover that not only was she a master gardener, but she was a pretty good PI, too! Just a fun, entertaining story.
I received an ARC of this book courtesy of the publisher and NetGalley. I received no compensation for my review, and all thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.
I enjoyed this book. Natalie really ended up.surprising me. This story has excellent dialog and it’s not evident what happens next. Great ending! I received an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley and freely leave this honest review.
This is book 6 in the SEAL Wolf series and I would read the other books in the series before reading this one, otherwise some things may be confusing. This one is about Brock Greystoke and Natalie Silverton. Brock has sworn off relationships after his last one ended badly. Concentrating on work and helping his friends is how he fills his time now, with no intentions of changing that. Natalie has sworn off men and in specific male wolves after being used. But when Natalie gets the wrong luggage at the airport and Brock has to protect her and figure out exactly what is going on, it not only throws them together, but it makes them realize how wrong they are to close themselves off.
I really enjoyed this story. Natalie and Brock have both been through a lot in their lives. Not only with just living in general but with the relationships that they have had. And because of this, they have closed themselves off to ever finding the one person that could complete them. This book was action packed from almost the start and definitely kept me reading and wanting more. My only drawback was that parts of the story almost felt like they were forced together. I don’t know how else to put it. On a whole it was a good read but it definitely wasn’t my favorite of this series. That being said, I will probably still re-read it, and I know I will be impatiently waiting for the next in this series because I do love this series!
3.5 stars–SEAL Wolf Surrender is the sixth instalment in Terry Spear’s contemporary, adult SEAL Wolf paranormal, romance series. This is former Navy SEAL, PI and wolf shifter Brock Greystoke, and master gardener/ wolf shifter Natalie Silverton’s story line. SEAL Wolf Surrender can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.
Told from several third person perspectives including Natalie and Brock SEAL Wolf Surrender follows wolf shifter Natalie Silverton as she ventures to her best friend’s wedding only to discover when she opens her luggage she has accidentally stumbled upon three million dollars in counterfeit money, someone else’s counterfeit money and definitely not her luggage. Meeting former Navy SEAL Brock Greystoke finds our heroine on a cross-country journey to ferret out the people involved in the illegal scam, a scam that will bring Brock and Natalie closer together. What ensues is the quick building relationship between two reluctant wolves, and the potential fall-out as our couple are targeted for attempting to take down the people in charge.
Natalie and her parents live in Texas but her trip to Colorado comes with a surprise. Not only will she take on an investigative role with Brock Greystoke as they uncover the who, how and why of the counterfeit money, but she will also find herself, and her family slowly giving into the possibility of joining the wolves of the Greystoke Pack. Brock Greystoke has been burned in the past, and was never intending to find a mate but meeting Natalie Silverton meant the possibility of his own happily ever after, a happily ever after Brock intends to pursue and claim. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
SEAL Wolf Surrender is a story of family, friendship, betrayal and vengeance; a story of illegal activities that threaten the territory and wolves of the Greystoke Pack. The premise is engaging and entertaining but there is a little too much telling and not enough showing; the quick building romance is sexy and fun; the characters are lively and energetic. SEAL Wolf Surrender is a welcome addition to Terry Spear’s SEAL Wolf series of paranormal romances.
I’ve been a fan of Terry Spear’s books for a while now, but I haven’t picked up one of her books in a while. I’ve missed her world of shifters though and I’m hoping to catch up on her books soon. I was excited to read Seal Wolf Surrender before I began reading it. Here it is I could fall in love with Terry’s wolf shifter books again, especially since this one involved a retired Navy SEAL and a beautiful gardener. Neither characters are looking for mates, but they end up falling for each other when Brock Greystoke ends up being Natalie Silverton’s bodyguard. This is of course, after Natalie ends up dealing with some dangerous criminals who only want their suitcase back that she accidentally took from the airport. She was traveling to her best friend’s Wedding in Colorado and ended up in dealing with trouble and fears it will go back to her family.
The suspense of tracking down the criminals and also keeping everyone safe will keep the reader engaged in the story. Unfortunately, this book didn’t grab me like other stories have done in the series. The relationship with the characters was not very emotional and seemed instant attraction due to how family, friends, and specific circumstances brought them together. Especially since both characters initially were not looking for love and it was more of a business relationship at first with the characters. I would love getting to know them even more in the story. I did enjoy the storyline and how the hero/heroine are investigating the bad guys/gals in the story. There are some intense moments between the villains and good guys in the story.
There is one thing I loved about this book, and that is how Terry brings forward previous characters in earlier stories into her current story. Bella and Devlyn happened to be from her first book in the Heart of the Wolf series, and I recognized them right away. Their story is one of the reasons why I fell in love with Terry’s books. There was also Brock’s brother and his mate, but I need to go back and read their story since I never got a chance to read their book.
Unfortunately, this may not have been my favorite book in the series, but it doesn’t mean I wouldn’t recommend it to other readers, especially if you enjoy PNR and wolf shifters. I always recommend Terry Spear’s books.
Don’t get nervous about how many books are in the Heart of the Wolf series and SEAL Wolf series because each book can be read as a standalone due to them following a new couple. Although you may end up missing out on some previous couples stories together, you can always go back and read them and not get confused.
Story Rating: 3 stars

Standalone or part of series: Part of series, but each follows a new couple. Previous couples in the series will appear in the books. Each book can be read as a standalone with no issues.
