Quick Start is the second book in the Quick Family Ranch series. Sam and Marynne’s story is a romance that starts off slow, with a touch of wit, a splash of drama and a heaping of good old fashioned chemistry. A girl that has been broken by the person who should have nurtured and encouraged her and a country boy that just wants to see her laugh and be happy. This series is one that gives you a bit of everything you want in a country romance including enough heat and passion to warm you on a cold winters night.
4 1/2 Stars!
Marynne is a spoiled and pampered princess when Sam literally bumps into her in a fender bender. Irritated with her high maintenance helpless and entitled behavior, Sam takes pleasure in teasing her and getting her riled up. When he finds out her sad history with her rich, controlling, and emotionally abusive grandmother, he and his dad rallied behind her and supported her efforts for some autonomy.
With her grandmother enraged, Marynne had a chance to work and earn her own keep, all the while falling for Sam and his gentle honesty.
I liked the way Sam falls for Marynne as he spends more time with her. He recognized the damage her grandmother inflicted on Marynne in order to manipulate and control her and takes the time to encourage and raise her self confidence.
I really enjoyed this sweet and sexy romantic story where Sam’s family end up filling all of Marynne’s needs.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I am loving this new series! This is Sam’s book and he is the fun loving flirty brother. That is until Marynne crashes into his life literally. At the beginning she is a spoilt, rich brat but as the story progresses she grows and develops learning that everything her grandmother said is total BS that was to keep her under her thumb and dependent on her. The Quick family takes her in and out of her comfort zone and she flourishes. She even stands up to her grandmother. This is a fun and fast read and I can’t wait for Nate’s book!!
Oh Dear the Quick family is at it again. Once again Aden Lowe has given us a fun, flirty and romantic storyline that will have you laughing, smiling and maybe even swooning a time or two. This is Sam Quick’s story and oh what a story.
Sam meets Maryanne when her car runs into the back of his old truck. When she gets out of her car Sam is wowed, right up until she opens her mouth. You see Maryanne is from the big city and comes across as the spoiled princess type, which I suppose on one hand she really is. But Maryanne is sent to the small town by her grandmother to work for the local preacher so she can learn to become of some use to society. But she’s a week late and the job she was sent for is filled. But worse than that her car is a mess and she has no place to go while it’s being repaired. In steps the Quick family and takes her in. But Maryanne has no clue how to do anything around the house or the ranch. But you can bet your life the Quick boys will figure out something. Especially after they get to meet Maryanne’s stubborn, stuck up grandmother who’s britches are just a little too uptight.
This is a great story that you don’t want to miss. It will have you in it’s charming spell throughout. While it’s not a have to, I strongly recommend reading book 1 of the series, Quick N’ Dirty, first to meet the family and know little the details that help make book 2 great. 2 Thumbs up for a great series and 5 stars for a great read.
A wonderful second edition to this series. The rich heiress crashes into the country boy. She has been damaged but he is patient and earns her trust. Their story is so sweet and gets very passionate. The future looks bright for them both. Looking forward to seeing Nate come out of his shell.
Well done, Aden. I loved the slow burn and adore this entire family. There’s a brother and daddy left to pair up, so get writin’, Mister Man. Quick Start is recommended if you want a sweet romance that satisfies.
