Four blood-sucking princes. A beautiful anarchist. One dangerous mistake. To the vampires who dominate each quadrant of the Lydian Dynasty, I’m only known as “Blackbird”–a masked vigilante who, at nineteen, is already public enemy number one.To what’s left of humanity, I’ve been called a superhero, a title I neither welcome nor deserve. My only objective is to offer the enslaved what was stolen … enslaved what was stolen from us …
Freedom.
However, a failed plan lands me in the last place I imagined, at the mercy of all four Dynasty princes–Julian, Levi, Roman, and Silas. They’re monsters, each with a heart rumored to be as cold as his icy skin. And what’s worse, thanks to the slip-up, my fate is suddenly theirs to decide.
It’s up to them whether I’ll swing from the gallows, and I’ve given them every reason to sentence me to such a fate. Yet, I felt something unexplainable when our paths first crossed.
Something that gives me hope.
We should be one another’s worst nightmare. Only, I’m beginning to wonder if, somehow … these four princes might be my saving grace.

“Lost in the story and unable to look away, my heart pounded right alongside Corina’s!” ★★★★★ -Kalli’s Book Nook
This is BOOK ONE in THE VAMPIRE’S MARK series.
Series order is as follows:
The Vampire’s Mark 1: Dark Reign
The Vampire’s Mark 2: Hell Storm
The Vampire’s Mark 3: Cold Heir
The Vampire’s Mark 4: Crimson Mist
Note: This is a slow-burn, upper young adult/New Adult, RH series. You have my word there’s no insta-love between these pages whatsoever. Instead, you’ll be immersed in a rich plot and an imaginative alternate-reality where vampires don’t just exist. They rule. The eventual connection between Corina and these four sexy, vamp princes will be well-deserved and intense. There are certainly sexy times in this series, and the heat level is synonymous with the young adult/new adult genres. Thanks for checking out the series and enjoy!

This book was fantastically original! I was intrigued from the very first chapter and I could not put it down. The writing flowed and seemed almost effortless as the story unfolded. There were twists and turns I did not see coming that kept me turning the page for more. The world building was fabulous! This was a wonderful start to a series that I cannot wait to get my hands on! Absolutely phenomenal!
This story gripped me from the very beginning and never let go. It is exciting, fast paced, and extremely entertaining. I had all the feels for Corina, she is strong, fiercely loyal and independent, but also funny and a bit of a martyr. The author managed to bring out strong feelings for all the characters in just one short book as well as develop the world around them. Each prince has great qualities that make you want to root for them, but mlm others that make you either laugh or want to punch them. Like I said, strong feelings. I can’t wait to see where the author leads our group of unlikely and slightly unwilling heroes. Highly recommend. This does leave on a cliffhanger as this is a series.
I’ve never read a vampire romance quite like this one before. This is book one of four. Its slow burn. The characters are extremely well written and I have flown through the first two books onto book three now. Wonderful book. Go grab the series. On KU.
For fantasy lovers
In a world where Vampires rule a small group of humans hide and fight survival. Each have mislead concepts of the other.
This book leaves you hanging anxious for book 2 which is to be released in March 2019.
Best fantasy book I’ve read in awhile. I gave it a rare rating of 4 stars!
Wow, what an intense ride. The Vampire’s Mark was very intriguing and full of suspense.
The heroine is different from other characters I’ve read and I found myself really liking Corina. I was was pulled into her story and felt as though I was right there beside her. At times holding my breath waiting find out was going to happen next. Corina has created a lot waves in this segment of her story and I foresee a lot of changes coming to the vampire community, whether they are ready to except them or not.
I can’t wait for the sequel. I’m excited to see where Corina and the Princes’ adventure will take them.
I t took me a bit to get into at first. I’m not that fond of dystopian worlds. But the more I read the more I liked it. Now I’m wanting the next book.
Corina grew up on the fringes. Outside what society deems the “norm”. What is the norm? Vampires are on the top of the Hierarchy and humans are little more than blood slaves and breeding cows. They are property. Corina and her team have made it their top priority to put an end to the Ianite terror even if it means their death, and it’s looking more and more like it will when Corina is presented with an opportunity she just can’t pass up. An opportunity to infiltrate the social elite and gain information that could change everything. It could tip things in their favor and they could win for the first time in 500 years. But she comes face to face with the four Dynasty Princes and has to improvise. This is an amazing read. You’re going to want to get your hands on this wicked and sinister romance. Julian has locked onto Corina and he isn’t sure why. He just knows this liar in disguise has him intrigued, and so he goes to great lengths to protect her, even at his own expense.
She’s the poster child for freedom and they’re the enemy. Corina and the Four Princes are locked together in a lie. Inexplicably drawn together by Fate’s Tapestry, Blackbird and the Dynasty Princes will make a pact. Once sworn enemies, they are now each other’s life-lines. You won’t be able to put down this wicked romance as your heart pounds and claws up your throat. Such a thrilling book! You will be drawn into the story, invested, and by the last page you will be begging for the next book!! The Vampire’s Mark is a seductive Reverse Harem that will draw you in. It teases violence and intimacy, the promise of fiery passion and dark entanglements. Corina can’t help but be drawn in by their predatory beauty. I was caught in this web of deceit and intrigue from page one. Lost in the story and unable to look away, my heart pounded right along side Corina’s! You’ll be absorbed into the book until the final page. Julian risks everything for a Liar in disguise. He can’t ignore the pull he feels for her. Corina wants to take them down but instead finds herself drawn to them. By the final page, you will be begging for more! 100% 5 stars and 2 thumbs up!!
Corina, known as the “Blackbird” to her enemies was captured after a failed recon mission. Now with her fate in the hands of her sworn enemies; the four princes of the Lydian Dynasty, she must do what it takes to proceed with the mission or has she been compromised already?
In this slow burn, dark dystopian romance, Ms. Jonas certainly captures my attention. I devoured this book in one sitting and couldn’t wait to have another bite of the story. Told mostly through the male characters POV, I am sucked into the story and intrigued by the twisted, decadent world these royal vampires inhabit. I am getting the Hunger Games/ ACOTAR vibes from this book and I for one would like to read the next installment with the way it ends. Talk about a cliffhanger!
I received an ARC and I am voluntarily leaving a fair, honest review.
Fantastic read, well written with a great plot and characters. I was absorbed from beginning to end. I love this new take on Vampires! This book has twists and turns, it’s action packed and a RH. I loved getting to know Corina, Julian, Levi, Roman, Silas and the Empire they live in. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!
Boy oh BOY is this a nail-biter!!
Ms Rachel Jonas is a new author to me. I was a bit of a skeptic when I saw this series was about a Reverse Harem of Male Vampires bonded to a Human Female. As I started reading and became swept up in this suspenseful, romantic, drama, I was hooked! This is a TOTALLY DIFFERENT take on the Vampire Realm. Like I said, I was a skeptic, now I’m a believer!! I’ve enjoyed getting to know Corina, Julian, Levi, Roman, Silas and the Empire they live in, in this first novel of the series. I can’t wait to get to know them EVEN MORE in the next installments. I’m so glad I’m not a Human living in this world, and even happier I get to ride along with the Heroine, Cori, as she takes this amazing journey. Well done, Ms Jonas, well done!
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
No spoilers of any kind included except this and that is there is a cliffhanger at the end of this story.
This book was a little slow in the beginning and it took me awhile to get into it, but it started getting interesting by the fourth chapter and I could not put the book down.
Other than that I thought this story was amazing once I got into it.
But that cliffhanger pretty much sucked because I actually didn’t want the story to end.
This is my first time reading anything by Rachel Jonas and I must say I look forward to reading more of her work in the future especially the next book in this series.
I received an ARC copy of this book.
This is an awesome series starter and great for people who like a slow burn reverse harem that’s still got a bit of heat.
This one kept me up until 2 am reading one night, and the only thing I was left with was disappointment that book 2 isn’t out yet! Fingers crossed we won’t have long to wait!
Love this new world from author Rachel Jonas. Cori and her princes will keep you guessing, and hoping for more, with every interaction. Hell Storm can’t come soon enough!
Reading this book was a misunderstanding. Only when I had it on my tablet did I realize it was a YA story. Not my usual fare. Well, I had it, so I started reading.
Imagine my surprise when I read on and on and couldn’t stop! Instead of the expected vapid teenage mush, I got a well fleshed out story that grew on me the longer I read.
The character arcs, while only in the beginning stages, are believable and varied.
The world building is interesting and different from any vampire-human society I encountered so far.
The cliffhanger at the end made me clench my teeth, but nevertheless, I cant wait to find out what happens next.
Why 5 stars? When you realise its 5:30 am and you finally put the book down as you reached the end.
You crave the second in the series like it’s your lifeblood…..
I am forever grateful that I clicked a link months ago to review Rachel’s first book. Her stories are vivid and captivating, creating a new world that you are absorbed into. Dark Reign is the beginning of Corina’s journey and what a rollercoaster adventure it is!
You will not be disappointed!
I was given an advanced reader’s copy in order to review this book. But this review is not being sponsored by anyone. I read the entire eBook in a matter of hours. It was enjoyable, fast paced, and my mind engaged with the material. The characters are relatable and the settings, diverse. I am looking forward to the next installment.
