Whenever I’m within ten feet of Eve Cupid, all I can do is grunt and try to hide my erection. It’s not just the effect she has on my body. It’s the effect she’s having on my heart…and my soul. It’s her smile. It’s the way her fingers dance on the piano keys. When she sings, the sound of her voice makes things happen in my chest I didn’t know were possible. It’s Christmas, and all I can think of … all I can think of is how to get her under my tree. As luck would have it, she needs a Christmas tree and my family happens to own a Christmas tree farm.
When my holiday wish finally comes true, it’s gone as quickly as it came, because neither of us knows how to repair the sins of the past.
Author’s Note: Enjoy this holiday wonder with a grunty alpha, a kind-hearted girl trying to rebuild her life, and a whole lot of yummy sexy times under the twinkling Christmas lights. Always safe, no cheating, a little angst, and for sure a happily ever after for all.

Oh wow. This was really good.
I LOVED this story. This one gets a “holy monkey balls” from me. Shy, nervous, bearded H in the beginning but alpha & possessive OTT hotness by the end.
-neither virgins but both celebate. h has been with 1 OM in college and H has only been with a few OW and its been years since last.
-dual POV
-good storyline
-no physical abuse (talk of alcoholism and drunk driving death and dementia)
-epilogue at 2 years out
Grab this up for an enjoyable couple hours
This may be my new favorite christmas book.
Sweet & steamy Christmas goodness with depth!
Eve & Vix have been crushing on each other for quite some time, but they each think the other couldn’t possibly be interested. Until one night changes everything. They give in to their feelings & forge a bond no amount of meddling from outside forces can shake. : )
I should’ve known better. I thought this was going to be a sweet, quick, semi-smutty holiday story, but it turned out to be so much more. The characters were so real and well-rounded; they each had legitimate each issues and the attraction between them felt like something deeper than just instalust. I do wish that Vix’s issue with Eve had a more drawn out explanation – not that I wanted more angst (there is the perfect amount), I just think that something that deep and serious needs more than two lines to be resolved in a truly satisfying way. Other than that – Baby It’s Cold Outside joins the list of not only Dani Wyatt books that are phenomenal, but holiday novellas that I’ve consumed that I plan to read over and over again! 4 out of 5 wine glasses.
This book is a great holiday story where two damaged characters are instantly attracted to one another and end up falling in love just in time for Christmas. It is a cute and steamy love story about Vix and Eve who get past their initial hesitance for taking a risk and end up finding their happily ever after. Grab a nice cup of eggnog and cuddle up with this holiday novella! You’ll be glad you did!
An Amazing read!! Dani delivered a heart melting novella between two hurting souls that needed each other to become complete and happy. Both Eve and Vix had been through so much in the past few years experiencing loss and hurt in their lives, that they never knew what hit them when, with the help of a meddling friend and a crazy mother they were finally forced to interact. My heart melted with their first kiss, and just swooned as their connection grew and the fell in love. I loved this crazy love at first sight novella. A definite must read!!
Cupid during Christmas? Eve Cupid and Chris Vixon are struggling this Christmas. Eve is on the verge of giving up her freedom and Vix is trying to heal from the loss of his father. Turns out they are each others Christmas miracle.
I love the way Dani was able to weave this tale together. As always love conquers all.
What a Christmas love story. Dani Wyatt has put together another beautiful story of life with it’s ups, downs and HEA’s. Yes this book has more than one.
When Vix visits his mother in the assisted living facility where she is cared for he can’t keep his eyes off of Eve, one of the employees and the piano player that entertains all the residents. And when he gets the opportunity to spend some one on one time with her he takes it but it turns out to be so much more than he could have wished for.
When Eve sees Vix coming in the front to visit his mother she gets all giddy. I mean he’s all flannel and testosterone with a beard and muscles.
This is not one of those love at first sight stories because Eve and Vix have been around each other for almost a year and neither can believe the other would give them a second look much less a thought. Only Vix’s mother and Eve’s boss know different.
But Eve is leaving to go home and care for her ailing father since her twin sister is leaving for England to chase a job promotion.
This book is sad, sweet and smoking hot as Vix and Eve uncover their feelings for each other and work out the details for the rest of their lives together. As love blooms for the pair family comes to understand each other and acceptance of things unsaid before bring new life to the forefront where everyone is happy and lives are fulfilled.
Are you looking for the perfect holiday read? You know, the kind that is full of naughty laundry, sweet characters and a good story line? Well that’s exactly what you get with Baby It’s Cold Outside. The only thing “taboo” about this story is the title. So, for those of you who think the song is offensive? Yeah, maybe this book and any book isn’t for you. Go get laid or something. Anywho. Dani Wyatt delivers my favorite Christmas romance to date!
Story Line: Eve works in an assisted living facility. She helps the residents with non-clinical every day tasks, as well as plays the piano. I LOVED this detail. Music brings such joy to so many people. So, for her character to be able to do that for the residents, it would absolutely magical. Anyways, Christopher “Vix” Vixon visits his mama who lives that this facility often. And when these two first notice one another, it’s hidden attraction gallore. But thank the Lord for meddling mothers. Because, thanks to Vix’s mom, he and Eve are picking out a Christmas tree together and then doing more than just picking out a rare tree. Weather, accidents and rude coworkers ensue as well as some of the most naughty laundry I’ve ever read. This book is as hot as it is well written.
Interaction: Once Eve and Vix offically meet one another, it doesn’t take long for their attraction to turn to pure molten lava. Eve is super sweet and due to her rocky past, has become a super strong woman. She is proud of her accomplishments and doesn’t care what anyone thinks. I’m not saying she’s a millionaire or flaunts expensive things. But what she does have, she has earned, and money can’t put a price tag on that type of success. And holy crap, does Vix understand and appreciate her. He is sexy as sin, for starters. But he is so sweet, so encouraging and so uplifting to her. Their dynamic is so swoon-worthy.
Laundry: Oh sweet baby Jesus and all that is Holy. Eve isn’t a virgin, but you know the term, use it or you lose it? Yeah, well she might as well be a born again one. But not to worry, Vix knows EXACTLY what he’s doing. And he delivers. Over and over and over again. This guy hands out the big “o” like they’re candy. Would it be in bad taste if I slid in next to Eve and said me next? Is that weird? Yes? Okay, carry on.
Depth: Eve’s place of employment hits me pretty hard. My grandma has been living in a dementia assisted living home for just over a year now. It’s incredibly hard visiting her. She thinks I’m her late daughter (my aunt) most of the time. Other times she thinks I’m my mom (her daughter in law). But then there are glorious moments where she remembers who I am and asks about my two kids and says she misses them and tries to find her wallet to give money to them. Regardless, these types of environments are hard to read about. But DW did a phenomenal job of painting an uplifting picture of the residents and their struggles. And to weave a beautiful love story in there all the while describing the best possible scenario for Vix’s mom? I could not love this book anymore than I already do. It’s amazing. Pick it up and read it this weekend. I promise you will definitely be in the Christmas spirit once you finish 🙂
4.5 Stars
Wow! What a great story! I fell in love with the characters from page one. This was such a heartwarming story, with real characters with real-life problems, coming together. I loved the chemistry between our main characters, the storyline was great, and the steamy parts were all there! Perfect holiday read.
