Day Two-Hundred-Something on the Prison Planet… …And things are finally settling down. Life is slowly getting back to normal. Babies that won’t sleep through the night? Check.Pregnancy cravings? We’ve got those, too.Fresh starts? Check. A new chapter in our lives? Check again. And people are leaving.Wait, what?If this is our last chance to be together, it’s time to celebrate. It’s time for a … leaving.
Wait, what?
If this is our last chance to be together, it’s time to celebrate. It’s time for a Draekon Holiday.
Draekon Holiday is a short story set in the Dragons in Exile series. It does not stand alone, and should be read after Draekon Rogue.more
Yay more slice of life SFR!!! This is part of the Dragons in Exile, Prison Planet, series and has all the feels and insight and adorable half alien babies you could ask for for Christmas
Just like Rogue, while very short, this book acts as a closing to this phase in the series. Everyone gets to say their goodbyes and move in different directions. Scary baby antics abound.
While I read this via kindle unlimited I still feel this well worth your time and $$

This book is a holiday story of some of the Draekon characters you would have met in the other books in the series. All of the books in the series are good. This book ties up the ends of the stories with the Draekons and their human mates with Christmas.
I am simply amazed that all the books came together for this book. You get to catch up with all the earth women, and all the Draekons. Plus add a human Christmas celebration, a big surprise for everyone about a little girl, and the birth of a new baby girl. I just loved this series. I was so excited catching up with all of the characters from all the books so far, and I say so far because I am hoping this is not the end. The women are just starting to have half Draekon children, the author cannot stop there. Not that there wasn’t enough excitement for an entire series, but there is yet so much uncharted territory, literally. So many lives to keep track of, and new adventures to be had. If you want to read a great science-fiction series that includes dragons, this would be the one.
I love this series.
Thanks to the incredible world building in this series, it pulls you in an makes you feel like you are a part of it . The amazing, endearing characters have you laughing and crying as they take you on their emotional journeys. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
Following all the revelations of the last book many changes are happening on the prison planet.
Since it is “that season”, but the Dreakons do not celebrate Christmas, the earth women make up their own, all inclusive, Holiday.
The travel ban has been lifted and some of them will be leaving with their families. So this might be the last time they are all together.
Although there are tears because they are splitting up, there is also excitement, a sense of new beginnings, of reminiscing, of joy.
And there are enough unsolved problems for the ones staying, and enthusiasm in the ones taking to the stars and other worlds.
Merry Christmas! This book is just a quick way to check in on our favorite human/Draekon matings. I loved being able to check in on everyone and seeing what they are up to now that things are settled down a little bit. It seems like there are some really big changes on the way for some people and nothing is going to be quite the same for anyone.
It also seems like it could maybe be the end of the series, but I hope not. I think that there are so many more stories that could go on.
No longer Trapped – a New Wrinkle in this Amazing Series!!
New events have created a situation where each mated trio must decide what their future holds. Stay on the planet which has been a prison to them, or resume life in other worlds.
Some have small children, some are expecting. One has two mates who after a fever cannot remember their earlier relationship. Each trio gets a chapter (or more) and they gather for one more celebration before possibly moving on to a new life.
This time when the author suggests reading in “order” – if you do not already know these trios, and their prior struggles you will not gain quite the enjoyment that you might otherwise. If you have read earlier stories you MUST read this one!! Love it!!
*** I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book ***
At first, I didn’t know if I could read this story – I mean the blurb said “people are leaving”. But, but I love ALL of them! The last book, mentioned that but I hoped it wasn’t true – I didn’t want verification LOL But, these wonderful authors, Lee Savino and Lili Zander handle this subject so well. Life is ever changing, there are tears, passion, friendships formed, love and we know they will meet again, the friendship bond doesn’t break because of physical distance.
It is helpful if, you have read all the stories because this one gives a short update on all the characters who have become our friends. It is filled with mixed emotions for both the reader and the characters, plenty of action, suspense, intrigue, romance, lust and passion. Decisions are made and this is also a time of new beginnings….Oh, wait! New beginnings? Yes! Now we know there is more to come and I can’t wait for the next book!
Received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review…
What a great way to catch up on all our thruples!! What’s up with their pregnancy, where are they headed now that they can?? This is my one of my favorite SciFi series and I’m not really a huge SciFi fan. Thanks Lili and Lee
Dragons in Exile, Book 8. Can Santa even find the Draekons in time for the holidays?
SPOILER ALERT. THIS SERIES SHOULD DEFINITELY BE READ IN ORDER SO YOU WON’T MISS IMPORTANT CHARACTERS OR BACKSTORY. IF YOU HAVEN’T READ THE PREVIOUS BOOKS, THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS.
Wow! Has it really been…? Wait! How long has it been? Has anyone kept track? As peace settles over Ashara, humans and Draekons alike now have choices for the first time since the humans crashed onto the Prison Planet. But with choice comes change. Emotions swirl, and the ladies decide it’s time for the first Draekon Thanksgiving/Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa celebration. (What exactly do you call that—ThaChHaKwa?) But how do you explain Santa to a Draekon? What’s a turkey? Why would you have a chimney? What presents can they give? And, really, a Secret Santa? What would the holiday season be without chaos, joy, chocolate and, of course, presents. But Santa’s not the only one who can pull totally out-of-the-blue surprises out of his sack! When the celebration winds down, reality intrudes. Are they really now free to do what they want? Is it possible to leave? But where would they go? What if they want to stay? There are so many questions. But one thing is certain. No matter what the future holds, regardless of any circumstances, nothing will ever keep these friends apart!
This story simultaneously made me laugh out loud, believe in the joy of the holidays, drained my emotions, and broke my heart. It’s a quick read and perfect for the holidays. Yet the focus isn’t just on the holidays. Every person we’ve met so far in this series is here. The trials of the past, sweetness of the present, and uncertainty of the future are intertwined as only Lili Zander and Lee Savino can do. I literally fell over laughing so hard at the antics in this book. Seriously, try explaining the concept of a fat, jolly man coming into your home to a Draekon whose first instinct is to protect his family! There’s unease in the present and uncertainty of the future that provide moments of angst that literally brought me to tears. That’s always where Lili Zander and Lee Savino shine. Every book in this series has combined laughter, tears, reality, love, joy, and pain that showcase the talent of these two ladies. As much as I love sci-fi and paranormal books, this series isn’t just special. It’s extraordinary because these two authors put their hearts and souls into every story. Congratulations, Ms. Zander and Ms. Savino. Draekon Holiday is the perfect holiday gift for every reader!
A final note. This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and sexual scenes. If you don’t enjoy this genre, this may not be the book for you. There are book synopses and reviews available on Goodreads and Amazon. Please use these resources. I urge you to leave a review, but with a proviso. Please don’t leave a negative review when you know you won’t enjoy the book. It’s not fair to the author. She works hard to provide a quality work product. If you know you’ll object to a book’s subject matter before you buy it, you’re doing yourself and the author an extreme disservice.
Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!
This delightful quick read brings all the feels as Readers of the Dragons in Exile series get to check-in with their favorite couples. As when real friends and family get together for the holidays there is fun, joy, drama, exciting news, both planned for and unexpected changes, happy reunions and sad partings. This is not a standalone read. However, if you are a reader of this series you should find this to be a very enjoyable read.
It’s been six months since the women from Earth crashed onto the Prison Planet. In those six months, they’ve all found not one but two mates. One already has had a Draekon hybrid baby, and two more women are ready to deliver soon. They’d found a lost city, found a way to rescue to free a political prisoner and brokered peace. So many things have changed in the past six months and to top it off, they were free to travel now. That meant they would be separated after becoming a large family of sorts. The women have tried to explain to their Draekon mates the concept of Santa bringing gifts, but it only brought about their protective instincts when someone broke into their homes. LOL This is just a good time read where, like New Year’s Eve, it will bring an end to some things and a new beginning for others. Don’t miss it!
