From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Shayla Black comes a new story in her More Than Words series… us with a temporary getaway to Maui. My rental’s sexy caretaker, Skye Ingram, is a beautiful distraction. Yeah, it’s a terrible time to start a fling, but I can’t help wanting to give her every bit of pleasure she’s willing to take.
When Skye needs a date to her ex-boyfriend’s wedding, I’m game to play her pretend fiancé. The jerk should see what he passed up…and that I’m holding her now. But our pretend engagement begins to feel real. Our passion certainly is. So are the consequences. When I’m confronted with the reality that our lives are now irrevocably entwined, I have to choose between leaving Skye to return to the life—and wealth—I’ve always known or abandoning everything familiar to start over with the woman who awakened my heart.
Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series. We hope you’ll enjoy each one as much as we do.

This was perfect short love story between More Than Words and 1001 Dark Nights worlds. Shayla Black couldn’t come up with better and perfect couple than Stephen and Skye. And my favorite part was that this book was from Stephen’s POV mainly, but there was also some of Skye’s POV. Definitely worth reading and listening it and worth 5*****
A beautiful quick read that will leave you wanting so much more. when a fake engagement is arranged between Stephen and Skye in order for her to go to her ex’s wedding and not have everyone wondering why she’s there, what could go wrong? Feelings happen, truths come out and and a steam love story happens
Loved it!
Absolutely loved Stephen and Skye’s book! A terrific addition to one of my all time favorite series. Can’t wait for more.
We loved this read from beginning to end !
This story had great characters that were fun and engaging and flirty and easy to love.
The chemistry between Stephen and Skye was amazing they just matched each other perfectly but, it was Skye’s innocence and caring and wholesomeness that drew Stephen to her in the first place.”Skye was like a breathe of fresh air!”
I thought this story was a lot of fun and found myself laughing out loud and smiling throughout the entire story but, for me that best part of the story was the fake proposal spiel that had me laughing out loud yet again and smiling and I new right then and there that again Skye would never be able to resist a man like Stephen Lund .
“This is the kind of story that just warms the heart.”

More Than Pleasure You is a light, (almost) instalove story big on heart and light on drama.
Written in the male POV, it centers around a New York mover and shaker at a crossroads in his life who retreats to Hawaii for some R&R and a little light recon for future business deals. What, or rather who, he finds there will change his life forever.
I’m used to a little bit more from Black’s books (especially in the heat department *wink wink*) but this is short but sweet with some heat. Great read.

I’m a huge fan of Shayla Black’s More Than Words series, so any chance I get to dive back into this world is, for sure, one I can’t pass up. More Than Pleasure You is a fitting title for Stephen Lund and Skye Ingram’s story because, at first, that’s exactly what these two coming together is for – pleasure – both the giving and receiving of it. And while it might not be the best time for them to act on their crazy chemistry and mutual attraction, but the body wants what the body wants, so they embark on a vacation fling that turns into something so much more than they ever expected, which is both a blessing and a curse because not only do they live in very different worlds, but both may ultimately be giving up a huge part of their respective worlds, and what that means for this fake engaged couple who are starting to have real feelings for each other is nothing good.
Even though Stephen and Skye’s story was only a novella, there is a large amount of conflict and issues that have to be worked through, and while it’s necessary for the hero and heroine to endure some complications along the way, I feel like these two were up against too much, both individually and then as they pretended to be engaged and started developing real feelings for each other. There is only so much a new couple can take, and with the outside interferences as well as personal points of contention, I felt like the focus was a bit too much on the issues instead of what’s happening between the two of them.
Overall, I enjoyed More Than Pleasure You; I liked the multiple meanings at play with the title for the hero and the heroine and finding out just what they’re willing to do to keep things ‘pleasurable’ between them when things go from simply reveling in the pleasure that they give each other to figuring out if more pleasure comes with continuing their relationship on their terms and no one else’s.
4 Poison Apples
There aren’t many authors that can guarantee a great read but for me Shayla Black is one that can, she has a way of pulling readers into her stories no matter if they are hundreds of pages long or a novella and it’s truly a gift of hers. More Than Pleasure you is a novella in the More Than Words Series it is also part of the 1,001 Dark Nights Series which means it can be read as a complete standalone because it was meant to give readers a glimpse into the series. For readers of the series this is a bonus book because Stephen Lund is a secondary character that probably wouldn’t have a book otherwise.
Stephen Lund found out about his half-sister Nia not to long ago and now they are trying to establish a relationship, what better place to do it than in Maui which is where she lives, it doesn’t hurt that business has taken him there either…LOL What Stephen didn’t expect was Skye.
Skye is the caretaker of the home where Stephen is spending the month, she is in need of a date to her ex-boyfriends wedding which Stephen hears her complaining about on the phone and steps up to the plate and agrees to be her “fake fiancé” for the wedding.
The chemistry is so strong between Skye and Stephen that you can feel it ooze off the pages. They were HOT together and it was just a matter of time before their fake relationship turned real.
This along with EVERY BOOK I have ever read by Shayla Black is highly recommend but to readers 17 and over due to content. I hope you enjoy Skye and Stephen’s story as much as I did.
Happy Reading!!!
This will put a smile on your face and brighten up your day. Stephen is down in Hawaii for a brief vacation with a little hint of work as he is scouting the property he is staying at for a client. Arriving a day early due to a concussion, he overhears Skye as she is on the phone and in the process of getting things set for her new tenant’s arrival. When she realizes that he overheard her conversation, a bargain is struck and Stephen agrees to play the fake fiancé at her best friend’s wedding in the hopes of getting the groom’s mother over her misconceptions. However, the more they are together, their feelings change and what began as pretend is beginning to feel real. The chemistry between them is incendiary, which leads to some steamy scenes and some unexpected twists. Can these two find their way to a happily ever after or are there too many flies in the ointment? Once again Shayla Black demonstrates her artistry when it comes to penning her books. This is one short story that is packed full with drama, fun and a whole lot of heat that will keep any reader in his/her seat. Written as a novella for 1,001 Dark Nights, she includes many beloved characters from her More Than Words Series that I recommend reading first although this work can be read as a standalone. I volunteered to read a copy of this book.
Thank you Inkslinger and the author for a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed. All opinions expressed are my own.
More Than Pleasure You
More Than Words Novella
By: Shayla Black
*REVIEW*
Lately, I’m reading novellas a lot more than I used to. They’re the perfect length for a good story without tons of time, especially when you have no time! More Than Pleasure You is a 1001 Dark Nights novella and can be read as a standalone with no problem. This is the story of Stephen and Skye. While the super rich Stephen is on vacation in Hawaii, he meets Skye. The attraction is instantly obvious, and they end up in an interesting situation. Stephen agrees to pose as Skye’s fiancee for her ex’s wedding. What begins as a farce, soon begins to feel like something real. Will Stephen stay in Hawaii or go back to a life of wealth and privilege? I loved reading about these characters. Stephen and Skye are an adorable couple with so much potential. They are easy to like, relatable and entertaining with excellent witty banter between them. This story was fun to read, and I definitely want to read more of Shayla Black’s work. If you are a fan of 1001 Dark Nights or are interested in the collection, this is a great place to start!
Finding paradise in paradise….
Stephen is recovering from a concussion when his whole world is knocked off axis when he meets Skye.
He takes advantage of the fact that her ex wants her to bring a fake fiance to his wedding. And Stephen genuinely wants to be her fake fiance so he can learn more about this stunning woman.
Both of them feel the chemistry between them and decide to explore it thoroughly. There are a few issues to resolve from Stephen’s end but he is determined Skye will be part of his future.
An insta-love story. But not all smooth sailing. There’s the meddling mother to deal with. Some familial issues to sort out. But also lots of steam. And little surprise.
I love the glimpse of characters from Shayla’s bookiverse. Reminds me there are parts I still need to explore.
In summary, a great little standalone that you can enjoy without having read any of the other More Than Words books. Steamy, a little drama, and a very sweet HEA.
I received a review copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
A fake engagement while taking a bit of a working vacation in Hawaii and some hot and sexy times? Heck yeah, count me in!!
More Than Pleasure You starts out with a fun and sexy meet-cute between Stephen and Skye and just gets better from there!
I love these quick and dirty 1001 Dark Nights novellas. They’re a perfect length to immerse yourself into a series—especially one that’s beloved like this fantastic More Than Words one!
I loved learning more about Stephen. Getting a bit deeper into his mind and truly seeing the man behind the stoic business façade. And Skye. I can’t gush enough about her! She is Stephen’s perfect match—and he knows it! I love that she stood her ground—stood up for herself. But also loved Stephen and all his flaws.
I loved Shayla Black’s “More Than Pleasure You.” This novella was sweet and steamy all at once, and featured wonderful main characters who were very well-developed for such a short story. I especially liked that so much of the narration was from Stephen, the male lead’s, point of view. So many of the stories I read are told only from the female lead’s perspective, so this was a refreshing change, and I enjoyed being able to see so much of what was going on inside the male lead’s head. Stephen was clearly at a crossroads in his life, but he happened to meet the perfect girl for him at just the right time, and his growing relationship with her helped him work through his family and career issues and choose a new, happier lifestyle for himself.
Skye, the female lead character, was also pretty great. She was obviously a very caring person who went out of her way to take care of her elderly employers and tried to help others through massage therapy. It was easy for me to see why her ex-boyfriend’s mother wanted her so badly for a daughter-in-law! (No slight intended to her actual daughter-in-law, who also seemed like a very nice, caring person.)
This novella stood well on its own, though some of the secondary characters that made appearances had clearly been featured in previous books in the More Than Words series. I didn’t feel lost even though I have not read any of the other books in the series (or, for that matter, any of Ms. Black’s previous books). I really enjoyed this story, however, and will definitely plan to go back and read the rest of the series now.
Overall, I highly recommend “More Than Pleasure You” for both new and existing Shayla Black readers. I read the whole story in one sitting and thought it was time very well spent. 🙂

More Than Pleasure You By Shayla Black is here and most satisfying, sexy, sinful and a great romance with LOADS of heat and heart!
I was ECSTATIC when this book hit my kindle. I danced, I screamed with excitement and then I immediately sat down and dived right in and didn’t come up for air until the very end! I LOVED LOVED LOVED this book ever so much with its steamy scenes and romantic plot that had me all but begging for relief. The story is rich with romance that melted my heart and had me sighing happily! Stephen and Skye were a match made in heaven and I adored these two and thought they made the ultimate book couple. They scorched the pages with their wild and untamed chemistry and dug themselves inside my heart and soul from the very moment they met. Couldn’t get enough of them!
More Than Pleasure You gets a SEXY AND HEARTFELT FIVE SCORCHING STARS!
Stephen is in Maui to look at a potential property for client and to figure out the direction he wants to take with his professional future after a disagreement with his father, whom he works for. He overhears Skye’s conversation about needing a fake fiancée for her ex’s wedding to get his meddling mother to back off and Stephen volunteers. They spend the next few days before the wedding getting to know each other and sparks start to fly. The more time they spend together them more they both start to develop feelings for the other. Stephen is supposed to return to New York soon and she will never leave her home. Not to mention the fact that Stephen is keeping a secret from her that might result in her losing her job and her home. When they are dealt a surprise and Skye finds out why Stephen is really there can they work though their problems or is it the end of what could be the best thing to happen to both of them? This is a sexy addition to a great series and I can’t wait to see what is next.
This is such a sweet and sexy story. I love the two main characters Skye Ingram and Stephen Lund. They are a couple meant to be together. Skye softens Stephen’s sharp edges while Stephen awakens Skye’s inner sexy woman. I greatly enjoyed following their journey to a HEA. I feel the music author Shayla Black chose for this story is just perfect for Skye and Stephen’s story.
Real or Make Believe?…..
Right from the start this novella seized my attention. I love when an author writes a male POV. Needless to say I was delighted to see Stephen Lund get his story. This can also be read as a Stand Alone, but for More Than Words fans, it was delightful to revisit characters from the series.
Stephen Lund ate and breathed his work with no time for frivolous or heaven forbid a serious relationship. That all turns upside down when he meets Skye. She is in a bind and in need of a fake fiancé to attend her ex’s wedding. Stephen sees this as a no brainer as Skye is sexy hot, and definitely easy on the eyes. Stephen is pleasantly surprised when he gets to know Skye better and realizes he wants more than a pretend relationship with her. Unfortunately there are complications and Stephen finds himself having to make serious life changing choices for the first time ever. Shayla Black delivers another sizzling romance that draws you into her clutches and holds you there until the very end.
A great addition to the More Than Series. Shayla Black once again creates characters that we cannot help but fall in love with. What do you do when your ex-boyfriend’s mother will not let the relationship die, especially when that same ex is getting married? You absolutely find a hot, sexy man to become your fake fiance. What starts out as fake between Skye and Stephen becomes so much more. But when his real reason for being in Hawaii becomes known can Skye get past his deception? Can you mix love and lies? This might not be as long as the other books in the series but it does not lack in enjoyment and entertainment.
What do you do when you need a fake fiance for your ex-boyfriend’s wedding coming up soon? You let the hunk staying in the house you are the caretaker for, be that fake fiance. But what starts out as a way to get through the wedding because of the ex-boyfriend’s mother, turns out to be so much more.
Skye doesn’t want to go to the wedding on her own because Finn’s mother thinks that they belong together. What his mother doesn’t realize is, that they were only friends and can never be anything more. So why not take Stephen up on his offer for him to be her fake fiance.
Stephen Lund came to Hawaii to figure out his life and a few other things. But when he sees Skye he wants to help her out. He is attracted to her from the start. And as they get to know each other better, he begins to want more, so much more. So being her fake fiance isn’t going to be a hardship for him.
Can they convince those at the wedding that their relationship is real? What happens when Skye finds out one of the reasons Stephen came to Hawaii? Will they have a chance at a real relationship?
I love Skye and Stephen, they might be my favorite couple in this series so far. If you haven’t read this series yet, you need to because it is worth it. Shayla Black has a way of drawing you into a story and making you feel like you are part of it until the very end. So sit back and enjoy it.
