I liked this book’s storyline. I liked the hot & steamy scenes. I liked Mac’s character. I liked Teri’s character. I felt sorry for Teri. I liked the ending.
Navy seals are great. Sometimes their families feel left out they are gone on such long missions and family losses can create hard feeling and tough decisions need to be made which returning spouse may not like when they are both very strong independent people.
This makes for very entertaining trading.
Loved this series of f books and highly recommend them all. Aldo like the fact each book stands alone.
Lots of action in this energetic and exciting story. Two people who love each other; life and circumstances pulled them apart. With a little help from nature and a few Navy Seals, they find their way back to each other.
Easy reader, kept you wanting to read more each sitting.
avy SEAL Mac McRoy returns from a mission to find his wife has left for a ranch in Wyoming they were to visit together. When he follows, Teri, his wife, is not happy. She knows they have problems but Mac refuses to listen. She wants a true marriage, not a second honeymoon. When they find themselves in danger, they learn what is true and wonderful about each other.
Teri held the family together when Mac was gone on missions. She wanted him to appreciate what she did and not tell her the decisions she made were wrong. She wants respect from Mac and a partnership. She is an admirable woman and more than a match from the strong masculine Mac. For his part, Mac does have a lot to learn. Not only does his wife tell him but so do his fellow SEALs. The bond between Mac and his fellow SEALs is amazing. They do not hesitate to drop everything when one of their team needs them. When they learn the two are in danger, they arrive to help.
Brenda Jackson continues to amaze as she brings to life such incredible characters. Her stories continue to captivate as each one is unique and so very romantic. They are not to be missed. If you enjoy romance that does not come easy and the main characters have to work hard, Brenda Jackson is for you.
An Exciting, Romantic, and Sensual Delight!
Brenda Jackson has once again kept my pulse racing, my heart melting, and my eyes tearing up because of a captivating tale about a navy seal and his woman! I dare anyone to read the final addition to the Westmoreland Legacy series and not become enamored of Thurston (Mac) McRoy and his unforgettable wife, Teri, along with their circle of relatives and friends which include Mac’s Navy seal teammates and their families. When being trapped underground after a tornado, and foiling a child kidnapping are also included in this exciting story, the inability to stop reading until the very end is inevitable.
Mac came home from an almost 9 month mission and is shocked to find Teri gone but Teri has her reasons for needing to get away. Not understanding why Teri has left their home, Mac follows her. Mrs. Jackson has written a book that delves into what happens when lack of communication enters a marriage. Mac and Teri must work on their marriage even though the love and passion are still there. Mac learns to compromise and appreciate Teri. Teri has to find her own strength and voice in the marriage. Heartbreak, forgiveness and danger are all in this book. I loved the way the rest of Seal Team members were woven into the story as well. It was good to once again see the camaraderie that they share. Even though the title of the book is His to Claim, I believe they ended up claiming each other.
In this quick read of the fourth story of the Westmorelad Legacy Series, we meet Teri and Mac. Where has Teri gone that Mac needs to ask her about? What does Mac do for a living? Who are Tia, Tatum, Tempest, and Tasha? How did Mac meet Teri? What happns when Mac shows up where Teri is? Where do they end up at? How are they found? What truths come out? There was definitely some excitement in this story!

Loved it. Brenda Jackson always has good characters.
After all the “advice” had for his teammates in previous books I was wondering how Mac would react when it was his turn. I can honestly say I wasn’t disappointed at all. He & Teri both have some truths about their marriage. After reading more about their story it puts it in more perspective. I am glad they got back to their HEA & readers got updates on his teammates as well. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
Mac reminds me so much of my husband that it was scary. Teri reminded me of myself, would rather let you sulk and give me the silent treatment. But trust works both ways. This book opened both our eyes to some of the things we both need to work on
A beautiful story of two strong-willed people, a husband and wife, finding their way back to each other. Mac and Teri are on the precipice of losing each other–of losing everything. They fought, first against each other and then with each other, and I felt triumphant when they reached their absolutely believable happy ending. I highly recommend this book!
This was the first time reading a story by Ms. Jackson and I really enjoyed it.
Teri was used to being on her own. Her husband, Westmoreland “Mac” McRoy, was a Navy SEAL and left on missions frequently. This time though, things were different. She’d had to make a couple of major decisions without his input and was feeling the effects. To clear her head, she left their children with her in-laws and took off for some time to come to terms with everything. When Mac returns from his latest mission, it’s to find his parents in his house and his wife states away. Concerned, he followed her looking for answers.
The writing was good, the world building was solid, the characters were real and flawed. Both Teri and Mac had issues they needed to work through and it was great to see them come together to get through. I would definitely read another story by Ms. Jackson.
*I received this ARC from Netgalley and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Mac and Teri have to work on reigniting the flames of their marriage after a deployment separation. Brenda Jackson brings her usual charm and heart to this couples story. She writes of strong brotherhoods and family relationships that are healing and wholesome. A beautiful reminder of strength in oneness of purpose.
She’s ready to run. He’s desperate to keep her. Can they find some middle ground? Brenda Jackson turns love into an adventure. Mac and Teri have come to a crossroads. Save their marriage or walk away. The situation becomes intense rather quickly, when an act of nature forces them to face some hard truths about their relationship as they end up having to fight for their lives. His to Claim is an unpredictable, firestorm that fluctuates between steamy romance and chilly heartache. Turbulent, temptation with a twist.
This story is one that I wasn’t sure I’d like. At the start, I couldn’t see why they were together but the memories of how they met & got together showed the love that was created. I was happy to see them willing to work together & try to find a new normal. I was really glad that neither of them put the kids in the middle of their conflict.
Military families are hard. The one in the service doesn’t see or realize how hard everything is while they are gone. When they come back, it’s just assumed that they step back into their place. This story emphasized the feelings of the one left behind that had to become mom & dad but then step back from the decision maker g when their partner came back. I understood Mac & his fear of poverty but not the way he treated Teri & her decision making. Spending time together after the tragedy helped them each see the others side & helped them decide how to continue. This was another excellent story!
