A wonderful well written heartwarming good clean fun romance. This sweet storyline is a standalone in the six pack series, a group of six awesome college best friend baseball players. This is Axe’s story with great appearances from the rest of the group. Axe meets Brighton on the plane to Mamma Sal’s. Having no time or desire for a women in his life he is knocked off balance meeting Brighton. I enjoyed watching them and their relationship grow while Brighton overcome past hurts and Axel falls in love for the first time after asking her to be his date to Momma Sal’s wedding. A great HEA. I honestly and voluntarily reviewed this ARC.
Charming the Shortstop is the third installment from the Belltown Six Pack series. I enjoyed Axel and Brighton’s story. It is quite a quick read and I had no problem at all reading it in no time. I am giving it four stars. I look forward to the next book in the series.
I received this book from the publisher, but was not required to write a review. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.
I love this book and all the Belltown Six Pack books. So good
I read this book in one swallow! Yep! Gulped it right down! Loved Axel Diaz! Brighton West was perfect for him. They couldn’t have been a more perfect couple. I enjoyed their banter, teasing, and flirtyness with each other. I’m hoping I get to read about their wedding soon. I was kinda disappointed that there was no epilogue. I also thought Gabe was a great friend to Brighton. He deserves a good girlfriend too (hint, hint ;). I enjoyed young Sylvia. She sounds like she will be a real heartbreaker when she gets older. It was nice hearing about some of the other Belltown Six Pack and sort of catching up with some of them. I thought Ms Moore did a great job of writing this story. I haven’t read a story by her yet that I didn’t like. She did a great job describing the action scenes on the ball field. However, you do not need to be a sports enthusiast to enjoy this book or any of the books in this series. It’s more about the guys and the reality in life that they have to deal with including the romance. (Insert big sigh!)
A good fun read with a chance meeting and characters willing to pursue a relationship even with all the chaotic schedules and family and work obligations. I enjoyed Heather’s writing style and her quirky characters.
So far, this is my favorite of this series. Everything clicked. There’s humor, romance, full character development, and plausible, realistic plot. I loved Axel. He is a fantastic hero. His wooing of Brighton is sweet and gentle, yet persistent. And, even though Brighton has fears and insecurities, she doesn’t let them control her. She listens to the voice of her friends and carefully moves forward in life.
Romance – Steamy PG. Lots of kissing, some suggestions of staying overnight.
Language – PG
Violence – collision in game, causing mild injury
My rating – 5 stars
The h had hang ups about her worth and the H was a good compliment to her. This is a nice sweet swoony romance for some light reading at the beach or vaction. It did have good dialogue. Reminds me of the holiday romances I always get sucked into on Hallmark or Netflix, lol, but not the cheesy ones. I did think sometimes the h & her friend, in an attempt to see how serious the H was about a relationship was a bit high school or ya.
I am loving this series! And this one was my favorite so far. I absolutely loved Axel!! He is a genuine, giving, caring man. He deserved someone special, and Brighton was definitely that person. I loved the way they got together, and his reaction when he saw her again was so perfect. I loved the journey they took, and the many swoony moments along the way.
The interactions with the Six Pack are always fun, and I can’t wait to read the rest of their stories!
I received a complimentary copy of the book, which I voluntarily reviewed. I have given my honest opinion.
A good continuation of the series and characters.
