He’s the total package. Except … Eric Miller isn’t looking for a long term relationship. And he definitely isn’t thrilled when a friend signs him up for The Boyfriend Experience app behind his back. It’s not like he has a problem getting women on his own. But when he gets a notification that someone is in need of his . . . services, he’s intrigued enough to check out her profile and can’t resist … enough to check out her profile and can’t resist the sexy, sassy little brunette who only wants him as a decoy for a family event.
Evie Bennett needs a boyfriend, stat. Someone who can accompany her to her family reunion so she doesn’t have to explain that she’s been recently dumped. Again. She’s perfectly happy being an independent woman, but what’s a girl to do when her new fake boyfriend starts to feel like the real deal?

3.5 stars.
This was a fun and sexy read.
Here we meet Eric and Evie; she needs a date to a family reunion, and he was ‘forced’ by his best friend to enter this boyfriend app and offer himself as a fake boyfriend.
Anyway, as bad as that sounded to him, he ended up having fun with Evie and agreed to this fake situation. However, the more time they spend together, the more they both realize they want things to be real.
We get to hear about Eric’s background and family, and it was devastating; so I could understand his view on relationships much better. And we hear about Evie’s past and just how much this new relationship is exactly what she needed.
All in all, this was a fun read, with a little bit everything and looking forward to reading more in the series.
*Thank you to the author for providing a copy for which I’m giving my honest opinion*
This book was so much fun to read. Carly is one of my favorites and this book is one of the reasons why. And I love when she pairs up with Erika This was a great read, Evie and Eric have great chemistry and pretty early on I could see they would be perfect together. Surprisingly, there were several emotional moments that got me all choked up.
What an absolutely FABTASTIC book this is! I loved this sweet, sexy, fun read from two of my fave co-writers, Erika Wilde and Carly Phillips! It was pure joy to read!
Eric Miller is a man who, for his own reasons, doesn’t do relationships. He is content with his successful business, his friends and the one-night-stands that fill his life…he’s got nothing else to offer. Until his friend who’s starting a new online dating app, The Boyfriend Experience, secretly adds his profile and Eric gets his first message from Evie Bennett, who needs a fake boyfriend for her upcoming family reunion! The humour and banter between the friends made me laugh, so when Eric is goaded into accepting the initial coffee date to meet Evie, he decides to let her down easy and explain the situation to her. Except, that doesn’t happen and Evie ends up “hiring” Eric to be her fake boyfriend! Let the games begin…
I loved the secondary characters that we meet at the family reunion! Especially Evie’s parents, who are…well, I won’t say what I’m thinking, you’ll just have to find out yourself! Let me just say that they are surprising, to say the least! And every good story needs someone to hate, right? Well, this one is no exception because Evie’s cousin Raquel is one of those characters that you want to strangle (at least I did!)
There isn’t a lot of angst in this one…there are some touching and heartfelt moments that made me tear up, but no ugly-crying angst! It’s mostly a feel-good, fun and sexy read and I can’t WAIT for the next book in this new series!
Supportive and loving families can be a blessing and a curse. Evie doesn’t want to explain why she broke up with her last boyfriend at her families upcoming family reunion. Evie is asked to help beta test the new app “The Boyfriend Experience” for her friend. She figures it would be easier than going to the reunion alone. Eric doesn’t realize his friend has not only downloaded the app to his phone, he also creates a profile in the app. Evie picks him to be her “boyfriend” and Eric agrees after meeting her. He has no intention of having a relationship or being part of the app in the future. They have explosive chemistry at first sight, so spending the weekend together is no problem. Getting to know about each other’s families brings them closer together and that becomes a problem for Eric. Are Eric and Evie able to move forward and see if a relationship is possible or does Eric make the decision for both of them? Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde combine their writing talents in this fake boyfriend romance. I love their books and recommend this one too!

Flirty, sexy and fun!
The headline captures it and exactly what you expect from Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde.
I really enjoyed the cross-over story line from Tall, Dark and Sexy Series, it helped to make sense of how and why Evie and Eric connect.
A quick, read, it’s flirty, a little dirty and will even make you LOL. It’s all good!
The Boyfriend Experience is a sweet, fun and romantic way to find that one person who may be your match. Evie didn’t know what to expect when she signed up to use the app created to find you a date for just about any occasion. Evie is that independent woman who has trouble finding the right man and when one of her clients let her in on the new app. When she goes through her matches, she thinks it’s a sign when she sees Eric’s profile because he is to replace her ex-boyfriend Eric. She needs to bring a date to her family reunion and Eric is who she wants so she sends a message. When Eric gets a notification from the Boyfriend app her is perplexed but then he is a little angry that Dylan would do this behind his back. Dylan sets up the date for him with Evie and when he meets her, he knows he wants to experience this with her. Their attraction to one another is intense and fiery. The weekend they go away with each other will change their lives but will they fight for this change or walk away from something good.
Evie has a great family but sometimes gets embarrassed by her free loving parents. She has had a bad experience with a member of her family and having Eric as a buffer makes her time with her family wonderful. Eric had a good family life up until his sister died and his parents left him alone to grieve by himself. That has made him leery of long-term relationships so when he spends the weekend with Evie, he feels his life is changing in some way. I got to say that I love this book and I am so glad I got to meet Eric and Evie. The Boyfriend Experience is a story of finding your match when you least expect. They both fall fast and hard but sometimes those feelings scare people away. Eric and Evie must find a way to build something that started out as pretend before someone get hurt. We don’t know when we will find the one but when you do you must hold on and don’t let go.

Omigod… it was freaking AMAZING!
Do you like funny banter?
Sexy AF men?
A strong woman?
Hot sex?
HEA’s?
If you answered yes to these questions you best be reading this book! I’m so in love with this story (and Eric. And the cover )
Very little drama, awesome characters -particularly Evie’s cray-cray family – a beautiful scripted masterpiece that will give you all the warm fuzzies.
Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde, you have penned one of my favourite books this year
The Boyfriend Experience It is fun to read, romantic and will always make you laugh. Eric is funny and a little full of himself, but you cant help but love him and he and Evie are perfect for each other. It’s up to Eric to get past the loss of his twin and accept the things he can’t change and Evie will do everything in her power to convince him. I can’t wait for the next book in this series
Wow! Strong but soft. Hard but tender. Alpha but supportive. Arrogant but sweet. Evie & Eric met by happy accident but ended up the perfect couple! Eric tried to show Evie his tough public side but she saw right through it to his troubled sad teenaged self. After losing his twin sister, Eric had walled his emotions off. Evie didn’t trust her taste in men after being hurt so severely by her last couple of boyfriends. Now, by accident, she’s hired the perfect fake boyfriend. What will happen when the emotions start feeling way to real? I loved, loved this story & Evie & Eric!! I cried over Eric’s twin & the butterfly! I laughed with Evie’s brother, his boyfriend & her parents outrageousness! I really had an intense dislike for her cousin & her fiancé! It had all the right feels in it! I know I’ll have to go back & read it again soon! I hope there are more stories coming from this cast of characters!
Awesome!
Absolutely terrific! When these two authors collaborate you know it’s going to be great! Eric and Evie’s book doesn’t disappoint it has it all, heat, laughs and happily ever after.
4 1/2 STARS!
Sassy, fun and delightful! A fast paced story filled with humor, sexual tension and sweet interaction. They go into this weekend thinking they are putting on an act, but it doesn’t take them long to start feeling way too much for each other. Super cute story with a powerful case of the feels!
Salon owner Evie Bennett can’t face attending an upcoming family gathering without the boyfriend everyone thinks she will have by her side. It’s not her fault yet another man has led her astray and broken her heart. Something really must be wrong with her man picking abilities! When a client hooks her up with a new boyfriend-for-hire app, she’s determined to pull a rabbit out of a hat and fool the family!
Businessman Eric Miller has no clue why he’s all of a sudden getting a pop up on his phone from some app called The Boyfriend Experience. He knows it wasn’t him that downloaded the thing, so that leaves only one person … his buddy Dylan. Just when he thinks it can’t get any worse, Dylan answers the request for a weekend boyfriend and sets up a coffee date to talk about it. This guy is going down! He lets himself be dared into keeping the date, and man is he in trouble. Evie is a doll, and he can’t resist agreeing to help her out … guess he’s her new boyfriend!
I loved Evie and Eric’s love story in The Boyfriend Experience, another hit for co-authors Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde. Eric should have known better than to drink and tick off his app designer friend; especially since that designer signed him up for his dating app without his knowledge. Evie is desperately in need of a date for her family reunion; one who knows how to treat a woman well, unlike the jerks she previously dated. While searching on the Boyfriend Experience App Evie finds Eric and the two make plans to meet. Eric had not planned to go through with it but once he saw her in person he changed his mind. Eric was an amazing hero who understands how to treat a woman and make her feel the luckiest and most important person in the world. I loved getting to know these two characters along with their families. The love they shared made each of them stronger and better people.
Combining their voices Ms. Phillips and Ms. Wilde created a wonderful, emotional and moving story filled with sexual chemistry, fun dialogue, some laughs and endearing characters that is not to be missed. I highly recommend The Boyfriend Experience to other readers
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Eric is definitely the total package! The Boyfriend Experience was filled with chemistry and laughter. Steamy and dreamy <3 Evie was my gal. She had to kiss a couple of frogs along her journey. But she is strong, bold, and very caring.
So Eric's and Evie's story is very non-traditional. Yes there are dating apps out in the world, but there is nothing like The Boyfriend Experience. I smiled through and through their interaction. The way Eric fell for Evie was magical. He was her prince after all.
There were a few events that made my heart hurt. There were also a few scenes that made me snarl. Erika and Carly are my favorite duo. They bring you not only the sexy, but memorable characters that you are guaranteed to fall in love with.
The Boyfriend Experience is the first book in a new series by the same name, and a new dating app for women hiring a temporary/fake boyfriend. This fun and flirty romance had a few poignant moments, due to a painful and heartbreaking loss the H experienced in his youth that caused him to be wary of relationships. And the h had every reason to be gun shy; when it came to men she’d only experienced deceit and deception from her past boyfriends. Their banter and attraction had me excitedly turning the pages, and despite being polar opposites, the attraction they felt was too strong to resist, happily for us!
Evie Bennett had broken up with her boyfriend of four months after finding out he was engaged, something he forgot to mention. Unfortunately this isn’t the first boyfriend to cheat on her. Unhappy about attending her family reunion without the boyfriend she’d mentioned to her parents, her friend, Peyton, convinces her to sign up for a new app her boyfriend created called the Boyfriend Experience.
While the app is still in the testing phase, it’s for women to choose and hire a man for a special occasion, a fake boyfriend without complications who will cater to their needs. The last thing Evie wants is to show up for the weekend and have her cousin lording over her engagement, asking why she’s single, again. So she signs up and contacts Eric, who conveniently has the same name as her ex. Yaaaay, lucky her, one less thing to lie to her family about.
Eric Miller’s business partner, Leo, signed him up as a beta tester for his new app, without asking if he wanted to help out. When Eric finds out, by a notification from a ‘client’ needing his services, he shows up to inform her he’s not interested. But after meeting Evie, he decides there’s no harm in being Leo’s guinea pig, just this once. Eric makes it perfectly clear to Evie he doesn’t do real relationships; he’s never been anyone’s boyfriend, something he decided years ago he would avoid after a tragic loss changed the dynamics of his family.
“You do your job almost too well. In fact, you’re not too bad at this whole boyfriend thing, considering you’ve never had a girlfriend.”
These two hit it off so well, Evie’s amazed by how comfortable she feels with Eric, he plays his role so well. What if she could convince him relationships weren’t a bad thing? Would he take a chance or would he head for the hills, running for his life?
“After being treated like a queen by Eric this weekend, she knew she’d never settle for anything less in the future.”
Carly Phillips an Erika Wilde are back writing together and seem to be better than ever with their latest book, The Boyfriend Experience! This right here readers is a treat. Sweet like sugar and sexy too, this was a treasure to read. It made me feel gooey and warm and I fell in love with the romance and characters.
This is what readers dream of when they think of good, heart melting romance. The story calls to the heart and the characters make you smile and the story sizzles nicely. Very well done!
I give this story a SATISFYING FOUR AND A HALF SPARKLING STARS!!
Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde are the Han Solo and Chewbacca of romance authors. Excellent on their own and absolutely phenomenal working together. The Boyfriend Experience was such a great book that I’ve read it 5 times already. The story itself is engaging, captivating and steamy enough to keep the reader glued to the page without going overboard. But the characters…the characters, good and bad ones, are stupendous. Eric and Evie, her whole family, and their friends were amazing. So well written and detailed that you feel like you know them and cheer them on throughout their story. This book get 5 out of 5 stars from me and I’ll be recommending it to everyone looking for a new book to fall in love with!
Evie Bennett has been let down in the past by rotten cheater boyfriends and doesn’t want to face her family reunion alone. Her parents are aren’t really the issue but facing her back stabbing spiteful cousin with no boyfriend by her side doesn’t appeal to her. Raquel loves to torture Evie with snide comments and the last spitefulness involved stealing Evie’s last boyfriend that she thought would be her happy ever after. One of Evie’s clients Peyton sets her up with her brother-in-law Dylan who has created an app called the Boyfriend Experience that sets wonen up with men to be their date at social events based on what characteristics they are looking for in a date.
Eric MIller doesn’t ever want to fall in love. He doesn’t want to ever subject a woman to loss if something should ever happen to him. He learned in high school how much devastation loving and losing someone could be. He has never had a serious relationship and doesn’t ever want one. His well meaning friend Dylan has secretly downloaded his Boyfriend Experience app to his phone and set up a fake profile for him.
Evie likes Erics profile he seem like someone she would like and would definitely fit in with her plans to have a fake boyfriend at the family reunion. They meet for coffee, Eris is intrigued by this wonderful woman and does not have the heart to tell her that he didn’t really want to be anyones fake boyfriend but he can’t. Hes drawn to her.
Can these two overcome past hardships to find love and ever after… can Eric trust his heart and risk the heart felt loss he felt as a teenager. He has seen what the loss did to his family, especially his mom.
LOve the whittiness of Evie’s parents and her outlandish brother, I laughed out loud many times at their antics. What a great read. Heartfelt and warm, well written as always.
