Such a beautiful story! I love the Bradens and even thou Dane and Lacy story can be read as a standalone, I rather follow them all! When your life’s passion becomes your work and it’s all you’ve ever dreamed of before you meet that special person and only to make you realize that your choices might be their heartbroken fears….. Dane and Lacy dreamt for so long to finally be able to actually physically see and feel each other that when it all gets twisted ,its heart wrenching. When all you`ve been dreaming about for months comes to a reality, all your senses and feelings come crashing and it makes you even aware of every little things and makes you nervous, can reality meet all your expectations? I could feel the tear in both of their souls and hearts when they started to question their lives…and the pull in Lacy’s head. I even got mad at them for a few chapters until the Braden’s tight family came to the rescue! I love how they are all so close and live through each other‘s pain. Like Hal always says; Family knows no boundaries. Dane’s friendship with Rob is a beautiful story also and as Rob struggle you can see how much Dane cares for him and won’t stop at nothing to help those he truly loves.
Another beautiful written love story by Addison Cole; I can`t wait to read about the next Braden in line!
What an adorably sweet book! Addison Cole has an innate ability to weave a touching and heart wrenching story that never disappoints.
After meeting over a year ago Lacy Snow and Dane Braden have been carrying on a long distance friendship even though they haven’t seen each other since that first time. Neither can quite figure out why they haven’t found a way to meet up but when opportunity finally provides a chance it’s like time stood still and all those incredible feelings have returned.
Yet Lacy quickly realizes that the love Dane has for his Brave Foundation and being an expert in tagging sharks brings up her greatest fear. How could they possibly have a future when she has a well deserved fear of the dangerous creatures Dane works with every day?
Dane is trying to understand Lacy’s fears and help her to work through her issues surrounding sharks but there are other issues they must also face if they have any chance of having a future.
Sweet, heart-warming, with plenty of angst and drama, this book kept me reading through the night. I love the Braden family, and dad Hal always has the best advice for his kids. I can’t wait for Savannah’s story.
I received an ARC and voluntarily offer this review
Wonderful story of two people who have always been attracted to each other for awhile . Lacy struggle with loving Dane and being able to accept his job of shark tagging because of her own brush with a shark. Dane is does everything he can to ease Lacy into his world, until something happens to his dear friend and he sees the fear and uncertainty that come with his job. Will they be able to come to an agreement or will it tear them apart?
Shark week has a whole new meaning!
After reading the previous Braden books, I was looking forward to reading Lacy and Dane’s story. This is book 4 in Addison Cole’s Sweet with Heat: Weston Bradens series. Lacy and Dane met a year previous at a wedding. Since that time, they have had a friends relationship over long distance. Neither was sure they wanted to explore taking the next step. Lacy is strongly attracted to Dane and she considered them to be exclusive, but she also believed Dane had a willing woman in every port. Although, Dane used to be a ladies man, he hasn’t been with anyone else since starting the long distance relationship with Lacy. But Lacy seems to be holding back and Dane doesn’t understand why.
Lacy was attacked by a shark when she was a young girl, and to this date, she thinks she is afraid of sharks. Dane’s whole life is centred around sharks. He has created a foundation to help communities understand and get educated about sharks, while he and his partner and best friend go out to measure and tag sharks. I found the information included in this novel regarding sharks was very enlightening!
What bothered me a bit in the book was Lacy being unsure that she was afraid and then severing her relationship due to her fear of sharks. I was thinking, if she was this thrilled about Dane, I would think she would have done the research and done something to see if her fear was a real roadblock. It also seemed very easy for Dane to convince Lacy’s boss to let her immerse herself in the Brave Foundation, essentially having weeks of vacation and therapy via Dane (and Lacy’s sister).
However, Dane is a true book boyfriend, going beyond what others would likely do to help Lacy with her fears, and helping his best friend with his family issues and alcoholism. Overall, I enjoyed this novel but I wished Lacy was a bit stronger on her own.
I received an ARC copy of this book and am voluntarily reviewing it.
A sweet love story that shows us how much one is willing to do to be with the one he/she loves.
I really liked Lacy. She was a bit shy, kindhearted and had a lovable personality. Dane i
was strong, driven man who loves his family and friends and most off all Lacy without him realising it. Together they made one hot mess. They wanted to be together but were afraid of their feelings for one another. Just when you think they can’t be together they both receive a wake-up call that makes them realize they can only be happy together.
If you’re looking for a feel good, sweet love story than I definitely recommend this one.

Sometimes it can take me a little bit of time to get into sweet stories, and sometimes it’s right away. I’ll be honest, this one didn’t suck me in right away. BUT, it did get there after a time and I was drawn into it. I think part of that was the feeling of missing some of the story of Lacy’s family. I usually don’t get that feeling in these books, but it was there this time. I wanted to kick Dane’s butt a few times because he was so stuck in his passion that he wasn’t willing to see other solutions. Lacy was guilty of that as well though, they were both stuck on their jobs that they couldn’t see what else there could be but one of them making a sacrifice. Eventually though, they get their HEA.
This is a author that when opportunity gives it coming across one of hers I want to open up thanks to the richness inside. This one was no exception with only having read couple from this author but liking the sound of it soon disappeared for a bit into this world. Lacy and Dane navigate us through this with us following along closely. Dane is one interesting character with a different kind of job but his habit is not good. Then he comes across Lacy and the direction they both go in has us front and center. Stay with them through the thick and thin and you are given one sultry romance that gives off intense pleasure.
I really loved reading this book and getting to know more about Dane Braden and Lacy Snow. Each of them has something that they need to overcome and is in the way of their being together. The way this book started out with all the family and the joyous occasion and then we’re on our journey with Dane and Lacy. I enjoyed ‘visiting’ all the places that are so Addison Cole and I also learned some facts about sharks along the way, which I really enjoyed. This book had a lot of ups and downs and emotion, but Dane and Lacy both came out stronger with the help of each other and of course their family and friends. There was a quote from Hal Braden which I thought summed this book up, “You’ll know you’ve found the right person when your heart can’t live without them.” Great book by Addison Cole!
I loved The Art of Loving Lacy from the very start. If you have read the Weston Bradens series then you know a little about Dane already. If not then you are in for a treat and will absolutely fall in love with Dane and even more in love once you get to know Lacy more too. With Dane and Lacy timing just never seemed to line up. The chemistry has been there for the start and you feel the depth of their love from the very beginning. Lacy is strong and amazing. You get her reservation when it comes to Dane as you get to know her more. I love how Lacy and Dane take their time to develop their relationship but in the same time you just want to strangle Dane too for it. You must read this to find out what I mean. This a book of overcoming fears, taking chances and full of love and family. There is so much more I want to say when it comes to The Art of Loving Lacy but I’m going to stop here. I say that because you need to experience this one yourself and fall in love with Lacy and Dane. Go one click this one and if you haven’t read this series yet then you must binge read it now.
I was given a copy of ‘The Art Of Loving Lacy’ in exchange for an honest review, and I honestly can’t get enough of the Braden’s! Each one of the Braden men are all swoon-worthy and Dane is no exception.
This is the fourth book in the ‘Sweet With Heat: Weston Braden series’. and it is just as good as the rest. You can read as a stand-alone or continue to immerse yourself in this family and fictional world by learning more about the characters you have come to adore.
Lacy and Dane have been exchanging flirtatious messages for the longest time, but eventually they are forced to meet when attending the wedding of Dane’s older brother Treat and his partner Max. Lacy feels all kinds of emotions, uncertain as to whether their relationship can blossom in person as much as it has over technology. But the moment she is before Dane she can’t deny those fluttering butterflies.
The chemistry between these characters is crazy, and I adore how sweet and consumed Dane is with Lacy. He is all about her and is the type of man you wish would swoop in and save you.
Dane is daring, he works as part of the BRAVE foundation tagging sharks for a living, and leads a busy lifestyle of travelling and always being on the go. Lacy is sweet and can be quite reserved, but she is relatable in her fears and you learn that she was caught in a freak shark attack when she was young, which has later heavily impacted her when it comes to being near the ocean.
Like the good old hero he is, Dane is determined to try and help Lacy overcome her fear in the hope of them having a real future together, but will he succeed?
The book is full of lots of sweet and adorable moments and I really adored Lacy as a character. You learn that Dane may be outwardly brave, but Lacy is certainly not to be underestimated. I love how she is willing to try despite her debilitating fear, she is powerful and very inspirational.
I love Addison Cole’s true-to-life writing style, her characters feel like family and I adore each and every one of them. She has the knack of writing addictive stories that you become immersed in and I fall more in love with the Braden’s with each book.
This is the perfect sweet summer read, ideal for holiday reading and any romance lover. You will not be disappointed!
Dane and Lacy have problems. She has a fear of sharks after being attacked by one as a child. Dane fears that he will lose everyone he loves, so he won’t commit fully to anything but shark preservation. Falling in love can be massively difficult for two people desperately wanting to be together, but unwilling to move out of their comfort zones to achieve that goal. Both look for the other to change.
Both characters were admirable in their own ways. Dane was so vigilant and caring in his endeavor to desensitize Lacy’s fear of sharks. I was proud of Lacy’s persistence and progress. And Lacy was so supportive of Dane and Sheila during Rob’s medical crisis.
The moral of the story: If you aren’t willing to change, you will never have more than what you have now.
Not only was this a fine love story, but, for me, it also brought about a better understanding of value of sharks in our ecosystem.
Oh, Dane and Lacy… just wow, what is it about a reforming bad boy with a dangerous job? I’ll leave Dane’s other attributes for the reader to find out, but man can Cole write a hero!
These two should not work as a couple, he’s a shark tagged and she had an episode with a shark when young. Yet when they met at a wedding, the spark was instantaneous. A year of video-chatting and texting, and when they finally see each other in person, sparks fly, anxiety comes to the forefront, and the heat builds.
There are problems, however, as love isn’t always easy. But part of it is seeing if they can overcome the deep rooted fears, and can they come together and help each other through them.
It’s a sweet, lighthearted and heartwarming story. It has all the FEELS as it pulls at your heartstrings. The storyline is beautifully written. It has characters you will fall in love with and the right amount of sparks you expect from this sweet read. It’s a great addition to this series and not to be missed.
This author has a talent for creating characters & storylines that grab her readers’ hearts from the beginning & don’t let go. They become emotionally invested in the story & feel the same emotions the characters are going through. The compulsion to read the book from cover to cover is hard to resist since there isn’t a good stopping point until the end.
Dane & Lacy have been engaging in a long distance friendship ever sense Dane’s brother’s wedding. As their friendship has grown, their feelings have gotten stronger. Before they can find their happy ever after, they have a lot of details to resolve. After a childhood accident, Lacy is terrified of sharks. This wouldn’t be a big deal except Dane’s job is locating & tagging sharks. Another issue is Dane’s fear of being left behind. Since his mother died, Dane was careful not to get too involved. When his friend & coworker was injured, Dane pushed Lacy away. Will they figure out how to control their fears or will they let the feelings control them?
Dane and Lacy haven’t seen each other in nearly a year. But their attraction hasn’t faded. They have gotten to know each other really well though by talking consistently through their time apart. So when they do finally spend some time together, their chemistry is overwhelming. Then they spend some time together and have to learn to deal with their own insecurities and issues. The story is an emotional one. You feel their connection and their struggles. I enjoyed this story and while it is part of a series, it stands alone. I received an advance copy for an honest review.
This was a great story between Lacy Snow & Dane Braden. They had been communicating for a year & finally met up again at a family wedding. It was so cute to see how nervous both of them were when they met up again, so very sweet. And I loved how Dane used his experience as a shark tagger to help Lacy with some of her fears. I love the Braden family as well as Lacy’s relationships with her sisters.
The Art of Loving Lacy is Fourth in the Weston Bradens Series by Addison Cole. It can be read as a stand-alone, and is considered to be a ‘Sweet with Heat’ romance.
The story is about Lacy Snow and Dane Braden. Dane is a shark tagger, and Lacy had a bad experience with a shark when she was a young girl. The two had met a year prior to the time that the story takes place. Although, it was a brief meeting, it had a definite impact on them both, and they kept in contact via Skype on a regular basis. It was at a wedding reception a year later, that they had an opportunity to see each other in person again.
I enjoyed how the author kept us guessing as to the outcome of these two that seemed quite inseparable. Is it possible to have developed such deep feelings for each other after only knowing for a short period of time? What about the aspect of Dane’s job and Lacy’s tremendous fear of sharks. Will they be able to build a life together, or will this just be a fleeting moment for them?
It should also be noted that ‘Sweet With Heat’ is not the same as Clean and Wholesome. There is plenty of sex in this story. The difference is how it is presented. It’s not graphic by any means, but as the ‘sweet with heat’ implies, there is definite heat between the characters. Just the right amount that lets the reader know what is going on, yet the reader is able to use their imagination for the details.
I received an Advance Readers Copy of this book, and this is my honest and unbiased opinion. I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.
I truly adored reading this book!
It’s a captivating & moving romance.
Dane & Lacy, met a year ago. Their
connection then, was undeniable.
They had stayed in contact with one
another. But seeing each other again
had Dane & Lacy, excited & nervous.
Dane, is a shark tagger & has a foundation that protects sharks. Lacy’s admitted to not liking them, but she hasn’t told Dane the
true reason why.
It really pulled all my heartstrings.
This a beautifully-written book with
wonderful characters & has some
incredible & touching scenes.
Highly Recommend!!!
