From the #1 NYT bestselling author: After a thirty-year search for a serial killer, FBI agent Drex Easton becomes a suspect’s next-door neighbor — but can he navigate a shocking series of twists and turns to track down the truth? FBI agent Drex Easton is relentlessly driven by a single goal: to outmaneuver the conman once known as Weston Graham. Over the past thirty years, Weston has assumed … the past thirty years, Weston has assumed many names and countless disguises, enabling him to lure eight wealthy women out of their fortunes before they disappeared without a trace, their families left without answers and the authorities without clues. The only common trait among the victims: a new man in their life who also vanished, leaving behind no evidence of his existence . . . except for one signature custom.
Drex is convinced that these women have been murdered, and that the man he knows as Weston Graham is the sociopath responsible. But each time Drex gets close to catching him, Weston trades one persona for another and disappears again. Now, for the first time in their long game of cat and mouse, Drex has a suspect in sight.
Attractive and charming, Jasper Ford is recently married to a successful businesswoman many years his junior, Talia Shafer. Drex insinuates himself into their lives, posing as a new neighbor and setting up surveillance on their house. The closer he gets to the couple, the more convinced he becomes that Jasper is the clever, merciless predator he’s sought–and that his own attraction to Talia threatens to compromise his purpose and integrity.
This is Drex’s one chance to outfox his cunning nemesis before he murders again and eludes justice forever. But first he must determine if the desirable Talia is a heartless accomplice . . . or the next victim.

I just finished the audio version of this book, and just LOVED it! I have not been disappointed in anything Sandra Brown has written. It’s just the right mix of mystery, suspense, criminal drama, romance. Just perfect!
Sandra Brown is such a good writer. I borrowed this book from a friend and glad I did. It will hold you from the beginning. Dex is after a Serial Killer. His friends and him think they have finally found him. Could they be wrong? It’s bad enough Dex has a thing for his suspects wife, but can he really trust her or is she in on the killings, too? You want believe how far Dex will go to find this killer!
Sandra Brown never fails to surprise me, and this book had some twists I never expected. I read waay later into the night than I should have because I couldn’t put the book down. The plot was a page-turner.
I enjoyed the secondary characters. Ms. Brown always has extra people in her books, but Jasper, Mike, Gif and Rudkowski were extremely well-drawn.
While I enjoyed reading the book, Talia was not one of my favorite Sandra Brown heroines. I found her dull and forgettable. Usually Ms. Brown’s heroines are feisty; Talia just seemed to float through the story.
Drex was another of Ms. Brown’s heroes with a sharp wit and sharper tongue; no complaints here. He just didn’t have a leading lady worthy of him.
All in all, another solid, readable book by Sandra Brown. You won’t go wrong reading Outfox.
WOW! Sandra Brown has once again delivered an exceptional book in Outfox. Outfox is the story of Drex Easton and Talia Shafer. Drex Easton is an FBI agent in search of Weston Graham, who he believes killed his mother. Talia Shafer is the wife of Jasper Ford, the name of the man that Drex believes was once Weston Graham. Talia is wealthy and has no immediate family. This fits the profile that Drex believes Weston/Jasper uses in choosing his victims. Wealthy women who disappear and within days of their disappearance, their money vanishes. Drex moves into the garage apartment of the next door neighbor posing as a writer. Drex is smitten with Talia when he first meets her. Initially, Drex is uncertain whether Talia is a potential victim or willing participant. The book is so action packed and kept me on the edge of my seat wondering how they were going to capture Jasper and how many more victims would he kill. I love the incredible characters and the locations. Love the surprise plot twists, especially the ones near the end of the book, that Sandra Brown always delivers. It was truly an amazing story and Sandra Brown is a phenomenal story teller. It was truly a page turner. Love, Love, Love the book!
Lots of steamy sex scenes and coarse language! The plot is somewhat predictable with a twist at the end. The bad guy is a real villain that you want to get caught. The hero (Drex) is unbelievably sexy, smart and cunning. The heroine (Talia) is easily duped. The book is an interesting read, but it had too many sex scenes for me to rate it higher. I just skimmed those parts and tried to overlook the bad language. Lots of using God’s name in vain, I guess for literary purposes, but it was offensive to me. I recommend this book to those who enjoy romantic mysteries, but with the warning about the language and sex.

Sandra Brown is a skilled writer who develops great characters while weaving an intriguing carefully crafted story. I liked Drex a lot but the depth of his character wasn’t revealed until the end which made him all the more fascinating. Not to be missed.

This expertly penned suspense will have you gripping the edge of your seat and stealing your breath with it’s unexpected surprises. There is a killer on the loose and Drex Easton is determined to find him and stop him from taking another life of a wealthy socialite. When the trail leads him to move next door to the presumed suspect and his new wife, Drex can’t help but want to submerse himself into their lives and save this woman from the clutches of her husband.
But lines to begin to blur, feelings sneak in, and more lies are overturned, and Drex begins to doubt himself and if he really has the right man. This book has bestseller written all over it, it’s engaging, suspenseful, steamy, and guaranteed to thrill! Highly recommend!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.
I love Sandra Brown and have read every book she has written. This book did not even read like her other books. The characters had no background, there was no romance. It was as if it was rushed through. Even the twist at the end was no big deal. I am not sure she even wrote this, it is way beneath the quality of any of her other books I wish I could get my money back.
