“They may own me, but they’ll never control me.”QUINN I tried running, but he followed me. I hid, but he found me. I couldn’t escape, so I defended myself. Now he’s in a coma, and I’m in prison. Except, the Walker Center isn’t a normal jail. In here, inmates work. Twelve hours a day, every day. If we misbehave, vicious guards punish us. They strip away our dignity, turn us against each other and … dignity, turn us against each other and rob us of our sanity. No one leaves, except as property.
My only hope may be Reed Nolan, an unapologetic sadist on a mission to break my spirit. He torments me every day, delighting in my pain. Defying him awakens intoxicating, dark desires. My perverse need to be dominated becomes my secret weapon, with every stroke of his whip powering my will to survive, to fight the evil of this place.
My captors are going to pay for what they’ve done. I want to open Reed’s eyes, to turn him against the monster he serves, but if I can’t, I won’t let anyone stand in my way…
“The truth may set you free, but it’ll still hurt.”
REED
For most of my life, I’ve called Lance Prescott a friend. His father, a popular congressman, got me my job at the Walker Center. If not for him, I’d have nothing. So when I learn Lance will never wake again, I vow to make Quinn Harris suffer.
I don’t expect her to resist her captivity, to overcome the despair and hopelessness of her new reality. And when she tells me what really happened to Lance that night, my whole world begins to unravel. Falling for Quinn means questioning everything I thought I knew about the Prescotts, the prison and all their crimes. To win her love, I’ll have to face the hardest truth of all: that I’ve been a villain, not a hero.
Helping Quinn means challenging a massive criminal conspiracy. They’re not afraid to make people disappear – they’ll bury anyone who threatens their empire. Fighting them could cost me everything, but I’ve been complicit in their evil for too long. I’ll do anything to bring them down – even if it means gambling with our lives…

Please note the warning this is a dark read that will grip you from page one and won’t let go, so be prepared. Quinn is being held in jail accused of murdering a Senator’s son, although truly it was self -defense. She is forced to go to a rehabilitation center which is truly a front for a sweat shop and eventually sex slavery. The Senator has plans for Quinn once his election is over but she is proving a difficult prisoner. Will she be able to escape before it is to late? Wow! This is read is amazing. Great story, intense, lots of emotion and Quinn is just amazing. I loved it!
WOW!!! This was dark and very intense with a lot of horrifying situations that were terrifying including sexual torture that Quinn and many more have to endure at The Walker Center under the sick and twisted guards and I was so proud of her for being so strong and brave and believing in herself when no one would in an impossible situation. I really liked Reed from the start their was just something about him and I liked how they interacted together and just clicked even though he had to follow through with the punishments. The writing is amazing and I loved all the characters. I couldn’t put it down not knowing what was coming next with all the lies and truths which one is which and who to trust.
This book kind of blew me away. It is dark, intense, gripping, brutal and often comes across as all to horrifyingly plausible. The situation that Quinn finds herself in is terrifying and can cause extreme discomfort and distaste for the reader. My heart broke for Quinn. There is no denying though that she is tough and strong and truly seems to be up for the task she has ahead of her. Reed was a character that had to grow on me. As his attraction and connection to Quinn grew and he has to face truths that are much harder to swallow than the lies he believes, he becomes more likable. This book will be too intense for many. The dark subject matter includes both sexual & physical torture, BDSM, sexual assault and explicit sexual scenes. There is also plenty of twists, shocks, drama, danger, heat, suspense and Intense, powerful emotions. If you enjoy a dark read you do not wat to miss this one. It is a stunning!!
INSANELY ADDICTING!

Dark, raw and gritty!
Wow! What a dark, twisted, horrifying book! Sent to The Walker Center after allegedly committing a crime, Quinn enters a nightmare! While she is imprisoned, they try and break her but she is a feisty, strong and clever young woman who tries to go up against all obstacles. It was suspenseful and kept me on edge with all the twists and turns. Really great story!
This is a really good book dealing with tough topics. Quinn is being held in jail, accused of trying to kill Lance, who was trying to rape her. Her lawyer was confident she acted in self defense, and would be set free. But Lance’s father, a rich senator, has other plans for her. She is basically kidnapped from jail and taken to a facility owned by the senator, which on the surface s a rehabilitation facility, while in reality it is a sweatshop and the women are merciless punished. After serving their “time”, they are then sold into sexual slavery. And Quinn has been already claimed by the senator when the time comes for him to take control. She is an exceedingly strong woman, and is determined to save herself and the other women, as well. As well as see all the jailors and buyers punished. Believe me, you don’t want to get on her bad side. Wow. There is a great storyline, and interesting characters in this book. You definitely become invested in their story. I received an ARC, and am posting this review voluntarily.
A deliciously dark, twisted & suspenseful romance guaranteed to keep a reader’s attention.
The plot is full of twists and extremity well-written with characters on opposing ends of the justice system, they portray their emotional turmoil with realistic traits & different sides to their personality.
It is about: a young woman (Quinn Harris) who defends herself against a man (Lance Prescott) & is sent to a place called “The Walker Center” where the inmates are treated very sadistically. One man (Reed Nolan) is a friend to the Prescott family and vows to make Quinn pay for her crime until he finds out what really happened.
There is: corrupt government officials/politicians/law enforcement, sadistic guards, FBI, twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, threats, danger, attempted sexual assault, prison, slavery, auctions, greed, evil, danger, punishment, BDSM, sexual torture, explicit sexual scenes, despair, hopelessness, depravity, punishment, physical torture, betrayal, discovery, realization, death, a rescue, a set-up, arrests, immunity deals, friendship, trust & love
A dark romance with a beautiful happily ever after. Loved all the twists and turns that Quinn and Reed went through. A great read.
