My secret’s out. Reed knows the truth. The destruction’s done. There’s no taking it back. Reed took all my firsts like a shiny present. He made promises with silky words I greedily kept as truths. But the moment I faltered, he took everything away. Now we’re both guilty of sins. As we come together for Grandfather Ian’s funeral, it’s time to face what I’ve done—what we’ve done. The boy I’ve … done—what we’ve done. The boy I’ve loved since age eight is now a man, his rage palpable, his turquoise eyes piercing me with an intensity that sets me on fire. Each delicious kiss seems to peel away our ugly past—a past we’re desperate to escape.
They say forgiveness comes from within. Can I trust him to forgive me? Have we both been enlightened?
I used to believe in the fantasy of a happily ever after. Trouble is my life’s not a fairy tale.
The Enlightened is second in The Entitled duet.
The story begins in The Entitled.

A terrific conclusion to an emotional, sexy love story with characters that are wonderfully crafted with strengths and weaknesses. The secret is out! What will Reed do? That’s the million dollar question with his volatility and controlling nature. Will Tess survive his wrath if it comes? After four years apart so much has changed for all involved but not everything. The connection between Tess and Reed is still there and their soulmates status is bent but not broken. Can they get past the deception? There’s so much to love about these characters and their story including the sexy twin Jax, the beautiful Ava and the steadfast friend Brance. These guys are too wonderful not to get their own stories. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC. 4.5 stars
*I received Entitled ARC for my honest opinion*
We pick up about 4 years later in this book. There is definitely new drama involved in this series as Reed and Tessa interact for the first time in 4 years. As the reader, we do get some “past” scenes to help fill in the blanks on what happened in those 4 years. I enjoyed reading about the past and helping to connect the dots on what is happening during the present scenes.
I don’t want to give too much away but there are a lot of secrets divulged in this book. There is a lot of raw pain with these two characters and their interconnected past. You’ll definitely have to read book one in order to read book two.
**some pet peeves** I did not care for the fact that “certain” things were readily accepted – you’ll find out when you read it to know what I am talking about – I don’t want to include any spoilers. Also, some of the dialogue bordered on cheesy but nothing horrible.
—> This was an enjoyable second installment in the Entitled series <--- Check this out when it hits the book shelves.
